Appearance: Kayla is popular not only because she's kind but because she's pretty. Her pale tanned skin is completetly smooth and unblemished. She has amber eyes that seem like gold. Her medium brown hair reaches to her waist, is wavy and has about 7cm of blue tips.
Style: Kayla's daily style doesn't match her dance style. She likes to wear black jeans, blue plaid and red/black beanies. She is always seen wearing white Doc Martens with blue stars on the side. If she presses the star, the Doc Martens morph into quad blades with blue wheels. They were specially made for her by andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer).

Background: Kayla is a popular person at the academy. She has many friends but only calls a few close friends. Kayla is so popular because of the fact that she is amazing in all three types of perfoming dances. Kayla is either helping out or performing at every event the academy holds. Kayla is also the female academy captain, and her best friend Connor is the male captain.
Kayla has been best friends with Connor Black since they were extremely young. They have supported each other through thick and thin and trust each other almost as much as their own family. Many people think that Connor and Kayla are dating because they are always together. This provides cover for Connor, his gayness and his boyfriend, as well as Kayla and her lesbianess.

It was due to her brothers that Kayla got her love of sport and drums. andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) taught Kayla how to roller skate about age 5, and Calvin taught her parkour at age 10. Calvin currently owns a parkour studio while andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) runs a tech company.
At age 6, Kayla was diagnosed with Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (CPTV). This causes Calvin and andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer) to be worried about Kayla constantly.

Favourite song to dance to: Kayla doesn't have a favourite song to dance to - she will gladly dance to anything. However, if she really had to choose, there is 6: 2 for individual contemporary, 2 for partner contemporary, 1 for inline skating and 1 that doubles as inline skating and casual.

Eyes: Hey eyes are a dull shade of light blue with gray flecks spattered around them. Her eyes lashes are long and a deeper shade of reddish-brown. Her eyebrows frame her her face perfectly, the shape looks like she gets them done all the time but they’re natural, same reddish-brown shade as her eyelashes.
Hair: Her hair’s a strawberry blond colour but a bit more on the red/orange side. Parted more the the left side but just off the middle. It’s naturally wavy but the straightens it so it can be held in a bun easily.
Body: Her body is slim but she does have curves. Not much bust but since she does squats she has a little bit of fat on her rump. Her limbs are slim, almost fairy like.
Face: Heart shaped and pale, a few birthmarks on the sides of her face but that’s it. Her complexion is blemish free and smooth.
Height/weight: 5’7” 130 lbs
Other notes: She’s overall quite pale but the sun brings out the natural colour in her skin, even though she’s normally inside training
Style: Normally leggings and neutral colours. Loves comfy clothing (Cardigans, baggy hoodies, all the basic girl trends) Will wear only red when she’s feeling bold, go big or go home right?
Personality: INFP-T, kind, tends to be sarcastic at times. Shy around new people but when she gets to know you she will tell you everything within means. She only has one close friend (Nima) and prefers to work alone. Loves solo dances and performances and doesn't favour hip hop much. She’s a very soft and quiet girl, hopeless romantic. Tends to keep to herself.
Likes: Snow, chilled weather and chocolate of any kind.

Background: Her mother was a ballet dancer and her dad died when she was 10. Her mother is strict but kind, she only wants the best for her and for her to do the best that she can.

Kayla, Connor, Megan, Noah and the rest of the cast were sitting on the stage at the start of their practice.
Every year, the Academy puts on a musical based around one aspect of the performing arts. They take on the best student from that performing art and give them both the lead role and the ability to write the musical themselves. This year the art was dance, and Kayla was the student chosen. The musical is called Love Is Love, and focuses on the LGBTQ+ community.

Megan walked over and hopped up on the stage, her pointe shoes dangling from her bag, "Hey love" she hummed, walking over and placing her hands on Kayla's waist and kissing her cheek.

"Hey," Kayla replied, her mind elsewhere as she fiddled with the blue tips of her hair. Her eyes were still a little puffy from earlier. Calvin, his wife Hannah and their daughter Alexia had been caught in a car crash. Calvin and Alexia had survived - barely - but Kayla's sister-in-law hadn't made it. She was on edge.
"You ok?" she asked, stepping in front of her. They had been dating for a couple of months now.
