The cool night blew by as Savanna made her way down the street. With a cigarette in her hand, she laughed weakly at the voice on the other end of the phone. "I told you, I'm off to go find this guy everyone's afraid of." She mumbled to the other, using her shoulder to support the device.
Her heels were hanging off the tips of her fingers by the straps, her other hand holding the cigarette. "I'll be fine. I don't need your worry Phin." Savanna told her brother, grinning from ear to ear. If she had been old enough, you'd assume she was drunk. But alas, she was not. With her sixteen year old brother on the other end, she kept any of her fowl mouthed language in her head.
"I still don't like it… I know you're a hard boat to rock, but everyone's scared of this guy." Phoenix mumbled his worries. "Oh hush. It sounds like you care."
With another sigh from him, Savanna felt a smirk crawling up on her lips. "Alright, well I gotta go. Love you baby-bro." She hummed, hearing his whines of protest on the other end.
"I'm one year younger than you… love you too." And with that, the phone was hung up. Pocketing it, Savanna continued down the side of the road with a bright smile.
As Elliot walked through the dark rodes he scrolled through his phone. Everywhere he was he saw people backing up. He got used to it. He got a call from his stepbrother and answered it. "Yes Alic. What do you want?" Elliot said in a low tone.
He heard Alic laugh. "Brother, brother, brother…Must I remind you? You aren't coming home tonight." Elliot raised an eyebrow. "And why's that, brother?" Elliot said, reaching for the coins in his pocket. "Because mother said so…" Alic chuckled.
"Shut up!" Elliot yelled into the phone. "Im going home, one way or another…" Elliot scowled. Elliot quickly hung up and stuffed his phone into his pocket. Damn Alic… He huffed. He continued walking until he got to a store. He entered it and everyone stared. He heard murmuring coming from the back of the store. Isn't t-that Elliot?… A person said. Elliot scowled. "And so what if I am!" Elliot sighed. He walked out with a frown on his face.
With the smug grin on her face, Savanna saw the rattled people up ahead. They looked they had seen a ghost- or better yet, an Elliot. Perfect. She could finally meet the guy everyone was obsessed with.
Even some of the guys she found familiar were cowering away, in the opposite direction of the corner store. Bare feet padding on the ground, she ignored the pain she felt as excess gravel dug into her foot. Pain was a blessing most of the time. The detriment reminded her that she was human, and couldn't be much more. Pulling on the heels, she pushed the door open and walked through in silence. As she entered, she tossed the burnt out cigarette into the trash.
Children stared at her, as she made her way around the store in silence. They seemed frightened… but they weren't scared of anything in familiar. "Is he gone?" Savanna asked one of the store's customers. It hadn't even taken a second for him to respond. "Elliot just left."
Letting out a huff, she walked out briskly with her heels clicking behind her. "Where the hell did he go?" She muttered under her breath.
(Im out for the night. I'll respond tomorrow)
Elliot continued walking towards his home. He was tired, drained of all his energy. His day was hard and annoying. To be truthful every day was hell for Elliot. Once go got to his house, he unlocked the door and sneaked in. He ran up the stairs, and to his room. Shoot… Elliot thought staring at Alic, who was right in front of the door to his room. "Bother…do you not understand English? Mother said you're not coming tonight-" Alic got cut off by Elliot shaving him to the side. Elliot quickly entered the room and locked the door. On the other side of the door, he heard Alic yell "ONCE YOU COME OUT, YOU'RE DEAD MEAT!" Elliot rolled his eyes. He went to his balcony and sat on a chair. He sighed and looked down.
(Hope it's good. I was in a rush.)
Savanna was getting tired, and frustrated. Maybe he really was a ghost. Maybe he didn't exist, and people just played a game on her mind. Maybe Elliot would never be found, and she would still consider herself just as bad as they said he was.
"Elliot?" She called out in a low purr, the sound of her shoes echoing off the pavement. "If I'm just crazy, this is pointless. But where on earth are you?" She called out once more, wincing as she felt a shooting pain run up her leg. 'Damn heels…' Embracing the pain, she sucked in a deep breath and continued on. "Come on Elliot. I'm not in the mood for games."
(It was, no need to worry! Trust me, I've done this with worse writers. I myself am not the best in the world.)
(Thanks for understanding. I'll get my next response in soon)
(Take all the time you need. I can wait however long.)
Elliot's ears twitched. He heard someone call out his name. He looked around and saw a girl about his age. He was very puzzled. Who would want him? He is feared by everyone. Or so he thought. He sat still on his balcony. He didn't want to draw attention to himself. He always tried to be hidden, but now someone was trying to find him? This isn't real… Elliot shook his head. He decided to call back out, for the fun of it. "What!" He yelled.
Savanna stopped in her tracks, glancing around. Someone had responded- yet she didn't see anyone. There wasn't anyone out on the streets. Not that she could see at least. "Are you out here?" She called out again.
She could only hear the sound of pounding in her ears, as adrenaline coursed through her. Her breathing was short and quick, as she looked around. She might be an idiot, for trying to find someone who could kill her. She was incredibly vulnerable as of the moment, if he came and attacked, she wouldn't be able to do much to defend herself.
Slowly, she pulled her shoes off so she wouldn't be as easy to take out. Just in case.
Elliot was intrigued. He jumped down from his balcony and landed on his feet. He walked out of the fencing of his home and looked around. He spotted the girl and walked up to her. "What do you want…" He scowled at her. He had mixed feelings about this. Someone wasn't scared of him. Should he be happy or should he be scared? He looked at her. "A regular human? Pfft." He tried not to laugh. At least have a weapon. He backed up and repeated. "What do you want…If you're here to waist Time…I'll have the honor of killing you and going about the rest of the night…" He laughed.
The sound of his voice set her on edge, yet she tried not to let anything show. "Why, that's no way to treat a lady." Savanna insisted, dropping one of her shoes down on the ground. "Especially when you don't know where she comes from."
Savanna felt a little smirk come up on her lips, and stepped up to him. She tried not to look scared, though she kept from being foolish. "Besides, I've only come to talk. They say you're awful, but I've come to prove them wrong. I seriously doubt you could be worse than myself." She purred, trying to ignore the red flags.
Elliot smiled. "Sure. You're 'Worse than me'" He teased. "Who could be worse than me! Im a monster!" He yelled. "I've…kill too many…" He had killed countless people. Elliot sighed. "What do you mean you've come 'to prove them wrong'? Do you think they'll care? I've been feared since birth. Im UnOrdinary… Im different. They'll never except me. I don't think ill listen… Unless you have something good to say…" Elliot said, Turning around. "I don't even know you! You could be working for my brother for all I know!" Elliot sighed.
“I don’t even know you’re brother.” Savanna hummed, keeping up her light smirk. “But anyways. If you did listen, you might find out something interesting. But I don’t want to waste my breath if you’re not going to listen.” She hummed twisting a loose strand of her lighter colored hair around her finger.
“Though I also don’t want to waste a couple hour’s search for you. Yet, I do have to say I’m quite disappointed. I thought you’d be more than just empty threats and a handsome face. Clearly no one's actually taken a look at you.” She hummed, resting a hand on her hip. “If you were planning on killing me, you wouldn’t have let me talk this long.”
