Salem climbed through the metal beams and rafters, slipping through crawlspaces in the ceiling and finally, finally, reaching the roof. He took his hoverbike, an old thing he'd built himself, and hopped on, starting the engine with a quiet roar and driving down the walls of the Clemont Opera House. He screamed excitedly, yelping and howling all the way down as he drove down the rusted streets, zooming past and over hovercars and through the darkest of alleyways. He landed in the middle of the park, where creaking metal trees stood tall, holograms flickering around their rusting branches. This part of the city was always abandoned, giving Salem the perfect spot for some alone time. He couldn't think of anyone else that came here, it was a total dump and that was part of why he loved it.
Finian sipped his tea as he walked down the streets. He didn't really trust hoverbikes, so he stuck to walking and admiring the beauty of the technology trying to find inspiration. He was looking at the blurring lines of all the colors whooshing past him. He found himself passing the Clemont Opera House and smiling at the beautiful structure. his mom had painted it for him a while back for his room, and it still hangs there today. His train of thought was interrupted when he heard someone yelling excitedly and sighed to himself. He kept walking.
He threw away his cup in the trash and began to think of the stars and how to incorporate them into his paintings. He wandered his way about, until he showed up at the park. He tripped over his own feet while daydreaming. Finian was really confused as he looked about the disaster of a park he found himself in. That's when inspiration hit him and so he gasped.
