"I go outside at night, when i am supposed to be sleeping. you know the time that you are standing outside my bedroom door guarding me." Basil said then tripped on a rock.

Rashest burst out laughing as the prince fell "I know you leave your room, i just choose not to care." He smiled again " Nigh time is the time of the Fae, so i must warn you, to be careful. you're easy pickings for us night fae." Rashe's eyes glowed with power as he spoke the words

Basil pushed himself up off of the ground and looked at Rashe. "I know, but it seems i am not dead yet." He said then walked over to the woods.

"your welcome for that by the way, you know how hard it is to keep Night Fae away from your ungrateful butt?" he smiled knowingly and walked ahead

"Do you know how annoying it is when you go out expecting to be killed and everything avoids you." basil said then turned and looked at Rashe.

He spun to face the prince "And do you how hard it is for me to not kill you myself?" he sighed and straightened "fine, you want to go out and face The Fae? be my guest, i won't do anything about it." he walked towards the woods "let me know when you're dead"

"Thank you for finally allowing me alone to die. I will be let away from everything." Basil said then ran into the forest.

Rashest rolled his eyes "Insufferable human" he growled and jogged to catch up to him "your going to need to be faster than that if you want to face the fae"

"Who says i want to face one. maybe i just want one to kill me." Basil said laughing as he ran through the forest around trees.

"all you have to do is ask." he stared at basil and shook his head "entertain me for a second, why do you want to die?"

"You won't understand. You just think I am a spoiled perfect prince who is wreck less." Basil said the. Stopped running when he got to a stream.

Rolling his eyes, he stood by the stream "spoiled, yes. reckless, at times yes. Perfect, ha not even close." He smiled and drew his bow, aiming it at Basils head "stay perfectly still"

Basil turned to him and closed his eyes. "Gladly."

(dang child, just wants to leave the earth)

He exhaled slowly, letting his arrow fly. Hitting the tree behind Basil he walked up to him "Are you in hell if i'm here?" He retrieved his arrow, placing it back into his quiver."it'll take more than an arrow to the head to kill you

Basil opened his eyes and looked at him. "Just kill me" he said quietly.

"no" he said simply "you have too much to live for, and i will not see you die like your mother did." his face went serious as he remembered the Queen, the only one in this kingdom who actually showed compassion for him "If you're going to die, it'll be for a good reason, not because a depressed 17 year old is experiencing puberty late." he knocked an arrow into his bow and shot a fish. "want to try?"

"No…" Basil said then walked away. He jumped over the stream then kept walking from there.

"your loss." Rashest easily jumped the stream and walked next to basil in silence

Basil walked over towards a cave. He went into the cave and sat down on a rock.

"cozy" Rashest grumbled as he sat on the cool rocks "look, i'm sorry for what i said back there, I know you're not depressed or going through puberty, its just that sometimes your no fun. I remember when you were a lively boy and love to play fight and hunt. Now not so much. is this about a girl or something?"

"Not at all about a girl. There is no girl that i like at all. And also how would i meet a girl when all i am aloud to see is the staff." Basil said to him.

"true, but still, you could sneak out into the town every once in a while. I do it all the time." realizing he probably shouldn't have told the crown prince that he changed the subject "So, if you don't hunt or train, what do you do for fun"

"I set things on fire." He said in a sarcastic tone then laid down on the ground.

"really? ..ok wow.." he saw too late that basil was joking. his hands glowed with white fire "like this?"

Basil smiled. "Exactly like that but bigger." He said.
