amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) was, in fact, not asleep. She'd been laying in bed scrolling through her phone since Liv left the room, filtering through DM's and emails, replying and denying as necessary. Now, she turned it off, tossed it on the blankets beside her, and rubbed her eyes with the heels of her palms. She'd long been used to her and Liv's now constantly bustling life both on- and offline, but even then it sometimes just wore her out before she'd even gotten out of bed, like today.
She heaved a sigh and got up, grabbing a small bottle of pills at her bedside as she did so. Entering the kitchen, she smiled and reached over to Liv's phone to decrease the volume of the music, before walking up to her from behind and hugging her around her middle. "'Morning, cariño."
"No! My music!" Liv joked with a fake pout, before turning around and giving amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) a peck on the lips. "Leannán na maidine." She smiled, then gave a mini glare. "I love you, but I gotta get back to breakfast or my bacon's gonna burn." She pulled away softly. "Get out my kitchen!" She yelled, then burst into laughter. It wasn't very often that Liv was able to keep a straight face when she told jokes.
Liv went back to the food, stirring it around and flipping it when necessary. "You ready for the concert tonight? We're sold out, apparently. One of our last concerts here before we properly go on tour. So excited for that part."
amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) giggled and poured herself a generous cup of coffee, adding so much milk and sugar to it that it barely deserved to be called coffee anymore. "Thrilled with anticipation as always. It's still so trippy to think that we're actually going on…on tour. An actual tour. Like, who would have thought that we'd actually reach that level someday? Crazy, dude." She perched on a barstool and cupped her mug with both hands, watching Liv with a small smile. These domestic moments were always secretly her favorite.
Liv's music stopped playing, a sign of her non-looped playlist finishing. Instead of starting it up again, she just began to sing a song that had been stuck in her head for a while.

Grinning, she took a large bite of toast and playfully punched Liv in the arm. "You're in such a romantic mood this morning. Is there something I'm missing here? Sumn' that happened that I'm not aware of?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Liv smiled, shoving a spoonful of egg into her mouth. "I stayed up late last night. The amount of people who still think I wrote Cherry about you despite literally having a voice memo of my dad is astounding. Although, I do suppose that it does sound like a sad love song."
(ok so i was thinking that on their albums, there's one or two songs that's only by one of them.
for basically her whole life, it was just liv and her dad. then he started dating someone, she got jealous and didn't speak to him in that time. that's when she wrote Cherry, which includes a voice memo at the end of is (where liv fell asleep speaking on the voice memo, he came in and it his speaking was caught on the still running voice memo).

"Well, you know," amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) replied, before taking a swig of coffee, "there will always be people like that. Taking anything that could even be remotely interpreted one way and running with it." She ran her fingers absently through her hair, letting it fall back around her face.
"Did you ever think that this is how we would end up? When we made that decision to start a YouTube channel all those years ago? It's awesome, don't get me wrong. But I never thought that this is how it would have happened."

amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) let out a soft chuckle. "No ma'am. My main priority then was…well, you to be honest. I only ever thought of the channel as something important because it meant I could spend more time with you. You might not have noticed," she continued with a laugh, "but I had the biggest crush on you for the longest time back then. And if you had gone back and told me about where we are now in terms of both things I'd have laughed in your face."
"Wait…" Liv put her fork down, staring directly at amy (the most wonderful woman in the world). "You liked me before I liked you? I thought I liked you first! Whoa. This is completely news to me. I thought we both started to like each other the year before we started dating. Not before we started the YouTube channel." She put her hands on her head, gears turning. "How long have you liked me?"
Half-laughing still with a bite of egg in her mouth, amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) held up her finger. It took her a few seconds after she had swallowed to calm down and, with a sheepish grin on her face, she stopped to count on her fingers. "Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis…uhm. Nine years," she said, looking back up at Liv and snorting to contain a laugh she wasn't sure of the reason for.
"Nine…nine years?! You've liked me for nine years and you didn't say anything about it?!" Liv put her palms on her face, hiding her deeply blushing cheeks and herself from amy (the most wonderful woman in the world). She didn't say anything, simply muttering her thoughts.
"Naoi mbliana. Bhí grá aici dom ar feadh naoi mbliana agus ní dúirt sí tada riamh. Cén fáth nach ndúirt sí tada? Shíl mé go raibh grá agam di ar dtús. Naoi mbliana?"
"Okay, okay, hold on, calm down now, cálmate," amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) said quickly, swallowing her laughter. "I'm sorry. I'm bad with those types of things, I get so emotionally attached to people. I had…other crushes in middle school or high school, sure, but you were always there, in the back of my mind. I never really knew what it was at first, but you had a–a special place in my heart. You…you kinda always have." She looked down at her food and poked at it absently, her face reddening by the second.

"Are we gonna tell people?" Liv asked suddenly, her voice serious and devoid of her previous embarrassment or laughter. "That we're a couple? I just…I hate hiding it. We've been dating for two years and we can't even hold hands in public." She looked directly at amy (the most wonderful woman in the world), catching her eye and almost forcing her to keep the eye contact. "You're the person who I really hope to marry one day, and we won't be able to hide it then."

amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) stared back into Liv's eyes, despite her red face at the last remark. "I don't know." Her gaze wavered and she looked down at her lap again, before pushing her plate away from her and leaning forward on her elbows, chewing her lip, thinking. "Why did we hide it in the first place? What's stopping us? Is the satisfaction of strangers really more important than our own happiness?"
"I think it was because we wanted to keep our private lives private." Liv stood up and walked to the kitchen, putting her plate in the sink to be washed later. She leaned against the counter, looking at amy (the most wonderful woman in the world). "I mean, it's not like we've hid it very well. We've almost kissed on stage multiple times, and anyone with two braincells could probably see the change from before we started dating to after." She took a deep breath, closing her eyes in thought. "Do we want to make it official tonight? At the show?"

amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) sucked on her teeth. "I s'pose we can. How'd we go about announcing it though? It's not really like we can just…change our behavior. We have to say something. Mierda, this will be tedious."
"We could probably sing a song? Or we could just straight announce it to the crowd?" Liv sighed, heading towards the bedroom. "Either way, we have to do it." She headed to her section of the wardrobe, grabbing out a small box that was obscured by layers of clothes and bigger boxes. She opened it, staring at the ring inside. Tonight, she thought, I'll do it tonight.

amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) stood, downed the rest of her coffee, and scraped the remnants of her breakfast in the trash. "I feel like…I feel like a song might be a good way to go? I just don't know how we would announce, be like, 'hey fuckers, we're gay' to an entire crowd." She laughed, short and tense. "I don't know though. Up to you." She ran her hands through her hair again before getting a glass of water and swallowing two of the yellow capsules from the bottle she'd brought out with her.

Liv looked out at the screaming crowd, smiling widely. She still found it so hard to believe that they had made it this big. Two girls starting a simple YouTube channel, somehow managing to become worldwide superstars. It was unreal.
Liv laughed into the mic, holding her hand out. "Alright, alright! Quiet down!" She laughed again. "Thank you all for coming tonight! We have an amazing show planned for you guys!"
