Kris smiled at the other, before glancing around. It was a rather quiet place, soft and filled with quiet music and gentle murmurs. He hums softly and looks at Alto. "do you want to order from a table, or the counter?" He asks curiously. He took notice of Altos expression. "Hey. Is everything okay?"
Alto turned to Kris and looked up at him. "Why are you doing this?" He asked quickly.
Kris looks at Alto. "Doing what? Taking you to a cafe?" He asks curiously.
"Just being so nice. It was so unexpected and I..I don't even know if I can trust you. I haven't even told Halo yet because i'm afraid he'll try and convince me that you're still a bad person. There are so many things I have to worry about and I don't want you to be one of them.." Alto said quietly.
Kris starts and looks down. "I told you… I gave you and your brother so much shit… And I was an asshole, I admit to that… I wanted to make amends, maybe try again… I want you to be able to trust me…" He sighs softly. He felt dejected and he hadn't even told Alto of his feelings. He folds his arms, this tough looking guy a football captain, curling into himself. "I'm sorry. Maybe I should just leave…" He mutters softly.
Alto looked up at him sadly for a minute before shaking his head. "Don't leave. I just need to get to know you more I guess. Plus you kinda drove me here so.." He laughed a little, looking down at his shoes.
He chuckled at that. "Yeah, I guess. And that's why I brought you to the cafe. To get to know you better. And you can get to know me."
“Cool…” He fell silent, smiling and blushing a little.
He smiles. "So… Why don't we order some food? I am starving."
"Sounds good." Alto looked up at the menu.
He smiled and did the same, humming softly.
Alto walked up to the counter and ordered, pulling out his wallet.
"Nope. I brought you here. I'm paying." He smiled and ordered before offering his wallet instead.
“Wait..but then..” Alto trailed off. BUT THEN ITS LIKE WE’RE ON A DATE! He thought.
Kris pays, smiling at the girl at the register before looking at Alto. "It's the polite thing to do. I dragged you here, didn't I?"
“I wouldn’t say dragged.” He laughed. “I came here willingly.” Alto smiled, freaking out on the inside.
Kris shrugs. "I'm still paying." He smiles kindly.
"Fine." Alto muttered, a smile still lingering on his lips as he stepped back to let Kris pay.
Kris pays before looking at Alto and smiling warmly. His feeling could wait. He knew Alto needed time.
“Thanks.” Alto smiled. “Where should we sit?”
Kris smiles warmly. "Wherever you want." He chuckles softly.
"How about over by the window?" He asked, pointing over to a table near the counter.
He smiles. "Good spot. Let's go."
Alto walked over to the table and sat down, leaning against the wall and waiting for their food.
Kris smiles before sitting down, laughing gently. "So. What are your favorite things to do?" He asks curiously.
