Alto put his arm around Halo and smiled as they walked. “How’s Alex?”
Alto put his arm around Halo and smiled as they walked. “How’s Alex?”
Halo smiles. "He's okay. Busy. He's trying to take care of his little siblings, deal with work, and school."
“Oooohohohohohoohoooo so you talk to him a lot?” Alto smirked.
Halo chuckles. "Of course… Also… I've been meaning to tell you." He decided to tell his brother the truth. "Alex and I are… Ya know… A thing now."
“Wh-how-s-since when?!” He spluttered, staring at Halo.
Halo smiles. "It just kinda happened." He ruffles his hair gently.
“I want to talk to him!” Alto demanded, turning around and yanking Halo along with him.
Halo laughs. "He went home bro." He easily halts his brother. "He needs to worry about his siblings."
“Why would he go home?!” Alto asked loudly, scowling.
Halo laughs softly. "Because his job, his mom is sick. Let him be. We can talk tomorrow."
“Fine..” He grumbled, putting his arm around his brother and walking home with him.
Halo walks with his brother happily. He bumps his brothers hip as they walk. Alto was always his first priority, Alex came in close second.
Alto arrived at home and flopped down on the couch, sighing.
Happy walks to the kitchen and starts on making snacks. He makes lunches as well. He sighs tiredly.
“You need rest Halo. I can do that later. Come lay down.”
Halo looks up and smiles. "I've got it." He says happily.
“But you’re tired, and you want to come over here.”
Halo laughs gently and walks to the other, sitting next to his brother. "Happy?"
Alto frowned a little and turned around so his head was in Halos lap. “A little.”
Halo ran a hand through Alto's hair, smilong gently. "Now?"
“Yeeeeah..” Alto said, sleepily.
Halo smiles, continuing to play with his hair.
“Halo?” He asked quietly. “Why didn’t you tell me about Alex sooner?”
Halo looks at his brother. He hums in thought. "We wanted to keep it… Secret until we were ready to come out as a couple. We started dating a few days ago, but we kept quiet. We didn't want each other to get hurt by someone. But I realized keeping the truth from you wasn't a good thing for me to do. I'm sorry, Alto."
“So…you were together when..” He trailed off, thinking about the day Stormy died.
