Trini stared at her twin. "Get the fuck outta my room!" She yelled.
Trini stared at her twin. "Get the fuck outta my room!" She yelled.
"Gladly." She replied, not looking up as she turned and left. Once she was in the hallway she could be heard shouting "Let's get this bread, mother-uh truckers!"
"Omigod she's so corny," Trini sighed. She came to the conclusion that she had new jobs and walked into her large closet, pulling on an oversized yellow jumper.
Kat grinned and spun around in the hall as she made her way back to her room. She had finally booked a gig at a local bar and she was pumped.
Trini grabbed Tom's hand, pulled him out of her room and walked downstairs with him. "Last night was fun. And today will be too."
Kat raced down the stairs five minutes later, fully dressed and talkin on the phone in rapid Spanish as she hopped onto the counter, setting her guitar by her feet. "Yeah, ten o'clock at The Pantheon." She said, swapping to English as she started shaking a Slim Fast.
"Perra, no necesitas esos. Eres lo suficientemente flaco," Trini said, pointing at the Slim Fast with her Diet Coke bottle in her hand.
"Sabe a leche de chocolate y es saludable, déjame en paz." Kat flipped her off, not breaking eye-contact as she chugged half of it and resumed her conversation on the phone.
"Oye, no olvides que hoy vamos al parque acuático. Oli's cumpleaños recuerdas?" Trini shot back. She knew that Kat had plans that night but it was their little brother's 16th, and they were celebrating as a family, adding on Tom and Markus.
(one of those inflatable water parks)
Her eyes widened as she ended the call suddenly. "That's what was bugging me! We are going to run over ten, right?" She started typing frantically on her phone, foot bouncing insanely fast.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up. Did you forget Oli's birthday?" Trini asked, with a mix of teasing and seriousness. "OLI! KAT FORGOT YOUR BIRTHDAY!" She smiled tauntingly. "But yeah, it'll go over ten."
"No, I didn't forget, it got muddled somewhere in the mess I'm forced to call a brain. Aaaannnd…cancelled!" Kat's phone went off a few times after she set it on the counter, but she ignored it, sipping her Slim Fast.
"Claro que sí, pequeño músico," Trini muttered under her breath.
Kat rolled her eyes, turning her phone off and taking her hair out of it's braid. "Hoy va a ser divertido. No estoy … forzado a mojarme ni nada, ¿verdad?"
"¿Qué clase de pregunta es esa? Por supuesto que te vas a mojar. Es un maldito parque acuático, por el amor de Dios," Trini shot back, self-consciously tracing the Minnie on her wrist.
Kat winced, but nodded anyway. "Yeah yeah, makes sense I guess. I've probably got a one-piece somewhere in the back of my closet."
"If not, you can borrow one of my bikinis," Trini muttered, taking another swig of her drink.
"Trini, I just got used to wearing short sleeves a few months ago. I'm not sure I'm quite there yet." She smiled a tad awkwardly as she finished off the shake, setting the empty bottle next to her on the counter.
"Well, I have spares if you need them," Trini basically repeated. She knew the real reason Kat didn't want to borrow a bikini, so she wasn't going to press the matter.
Kat nodded, smiling gratefully. "So what's the whole game plan today?" She asked, attempting to change the subject to something more comfortable for everyone.
