I have arrived! >:3
And I have returned! >:3
You wanna start?
Sure! Want Hinata to just pop right in?
Yup, just somewhere.
Unlike most days when Hinata finds her schedule interrupted, Hinata was actually working today. She wasn't even working at the diner- no, she was doing her main obligation. This particular day, it was simple: kill the leader, spark a rebellion, just normal things for her.
She snuck up behind the man, who was dressed in regal purple and giving a speech to the people in the courtyard below. Silent as could be, she pulled Tatsuo out as a thin dagger. She revealed her self for a moment, just long enough for the people watching to see the colors of an opposing party she wore before sliding her dagger into the man's neck. With the crowd screaming as the man slumped over, Hinata retreated into the shadows. Out of sight now, she opened her portal to her next job and jumped through.
What she had expected was to end up in a diesel punk dystopian, not… here, of all places.
(God that took forever on my phone XD)
(You will understand me XP)
As Hinata would step through the portal, she would end up in a place where distortions and illusions were clearly present. Humanoid figures were seen roaming around the place. However, they don’t seem to have life in their eyes. It can be seen that they were moving randomly just like any society would.
In the distance stood a palace, about the size of a large mountain. Some energy can be seen emitting from the palace. The roads Hinata landed on seemed to lead to that specific palace and perhaps even to somewhere deeper.
(Hoi I is Coral friedn
(FRICKIN I'm so sorry about her)
(Eh… uh… sureeeeeeee)
(I really tired tired of her stealing me phone ;-;)
Hinata blinked several times, looking around once. She pulled out a rag, wiping Tatsuo off.
"Well," she mumbled, "This is unexpected." She hesitated, checking her portal to see what had went qeong, but there wasn't anything she could see wrong. Letting her sleeve slip back down, she thought of a plan of action. Eventually, she figured the most obvious route would be to head to the palace see saw before her. Still holding Tatsuo at her side, she slowly began making her way forward.
Any idea why we might be here? Tatsuo asked.
"You know as much as I do right now," Hinata said calmly out loud. Surely she would find a way back to work, but for now she would enjoy a break from the killing.
(I get that XD and let me introduce you to an old friend of yours—)
The locals looked at Hinata a lot. Some gave her fearful gazes, some gave her concerned ones, some even closed the windows of their household. It may seem weird for a place in the multiverse to have a place where the locals were not able to wield weapons.
As she would walk down the path, a little boy looked at her from in front of her. However, upon closer inspection, it might come as a surprise that the boy was looking directly behind her.
A cold hand grabbed onto Hinata’s shoulder.
”Ma’am, I will have to ask you to put the weapon away…” a crisp voice came from behind her. The man who said the words had a sheathed blade by his side and wore a yellow suit with a golden tie alongside a black cape-like cloth with golden trims and edges. His eyes were a flashy yellow with a thunderbolt symbol cracking his irises. His hair was a nice dark color set like a side cut with light blonde ends.
(/0o0)
Hinata mostly ignored the stares of the locals- she was dressed very threatenly after all. She still looked like an assassin, all in reds and blacks. Hinata was much more concerned with figuring why this place was so familiar. She cocked her head when she saw the boy looking behind her, but she didn't start when someone grabbed her shoulder. She turned to look at by them, nodding stiffly.
"Of course," she said, deftly sheathing Tatsuo. She figured it wouldn't be wise to have him turn back into a full size sword, so she just had to deal with this for now.
”Thank you,” the figure said sternly as he made his way past Hinata. He stopped soon, turning to his left where a seemingly strong demonic figure rushed. It was coming towards the part of the roads where the figure was.
The male figurine gave a quick sigh before moving his hand to his blade’s handle. He pulled the blade up to around the middle before letting it go and letting the blade handle hit the sheath. What occurred was a strong thunderbolt which flashed onto the demonic figure, turning it into a crisp without any effort.
The humanoid figure nodded subtly at his succession and continued to make his way down the road, seemingly towards the palace.
Hinata watched the situation unfold; this obviously wasn't someone she wanted against her. Still, this world seemed far too familiar to her to be coincidence. The man was one who seemed to be unapproachable, but right now he seemed to be the only one who would talk to her. She followed after him, trying to grab his attention.
"Excuse me, sir," she said, taking on a submissive attitude, "sorry to be a bither, but could you please tell me where I am? I'm a bit lost."
(I’ll reply again when I wake up :P)
When Hinata said the words of “I’m a bit lost”, the man practically sighed in disappointment.
He massaged his temples and muttered something before turning to Hinata.
”You are in what the multiverse would call as ‘The Soul Labyrinth’, home to the ever famous and infamous Phantoms” the man answered. He seemed annoyed about something. Maybe it was because Hinata mentioned how she was lost rather than transported here.
”You hopped through some portal before coming here, didn’t cha?” the man rested his dominant hand on his blade’s handle, wanting Hinata to realize that he’s not one to be messed with. At least, not for now.
(Okay, good night!)
Hinata was a bit startled by that news.
"Oh," she said quietly to herself. The Soul Labyrinth, of course. She fell quiet as the man continued, for a variety of reasons.
"I did," Hinata replied to hehe question. Still, she still thought of herself as lost- definitely not where she was meant to be.
She wanted to avoid any confrontation now more than before, so she refrained from doing anything more that would be taken as annoying.
(I have arrived again but I’m like 80% certain that you’re asleep XD)
The man eyed Hinata a bit. He made a subtle ‘hmm’ sound before the realization had hit him.
”Do you know someone from here?” he asked. The answer to that question may have been closer than expected when a young-looking male around the height of 6’1” came out from a dark alleyway near the two. His features were fine; brown hair, emerald green eyes, fine skin, and a Maine Coon on his shoulder.
”Yo,” the man greeted with a soft smile, his hands in his denim jeans’ pockets.
"I do, actually-" Hinata started, cutting herself of with a warm smile.
"Hey!" She said, more than happy to see Matthew at this moment.
"It's good to see you." Kagami practically screamed, especially happy to see Matthew, mostly because she knew who else she'd eventually see.
”It is nice to see you too,” Matthew returned as the cat jumped from his shoulder down to the ground. The cat gave out a subtle glow before it turned into an amber-colored-suited and masked male figurine who stood beside Matthew.
”Greetings,” the transformed Maine Coon greeted before Matthew patted him on his shoulder. Even if the transformation gave a humanoid setting, the figure still had a fluffy tail and a pair of cat-like ears.
”So… you’re the one who wanted her here, ain’t that right Matt?” the thunderous Knight asked, eyeing the locals faintly as he asked.
”Precisely,” the Nature Knight answered.

"Hello Kohaku," Hinata said with a smile. When Matthew answered the question however, she turned back to him.
"Can I ask why?" She voiced, still in a friendly manner. She much preferred hanging out with Matthew to working, but if that was all he wanted her here for she would have to come back later. Of course, she figured there was something more to it than that.
”Definitely, but…” Matthew eyed the other Knight first.
”Alright, keep your secrets,” the other Knight said almost immediately, turning towards the palace and disappearing, leaving behind only a spark of high voltages.
”Anyways, I need your help,” Matthew mentioned.
”I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned it to you before but this Labyrinth isn’t really one entity. Not all of the Knights are fond of each other and not everyone goes well with one another. We’re divided into what we call as ‘Sectors’,” he started.
”Those being the Harmony Sector, the Chaos Sector, the Nightwalker Sector, the Balance Sector, the Aura Sector, and the Fallen Sector. We all share the name of Phantoms, but we don’t go well. Lately there has been a lot of conspiracy about the Fallen Sector. Namely that they were the ones who let out or created what we Knights call as ‘The Infection’. Long story short, ‘The Infection’ turns people into mindless puppets under the control of some higher entity and it’s causing a lot of trouble. Some even changed shape and form when they were infected and that’s clearly not a good thing… what I’m trying to say is that the Labyrinth is falling apart” Matthew sighed.
”I hate to say this, but can you please help me deal with this situation? It’s… honestly a bit much,”
Hinata listened silently as Matthew spoke, seemingly disturbed of the news about the Infection.
"Of course I'll help, " Hinata said. "This is definitely something that needs to be taken care of." This was bad- not just for the Labyrinth, but perhaps the multiverse as well.
”Ah, thank you so much!” Matthew quickly said. He turned to Kohaku, his Maine Coon butler.
”Can you contact Aisen? Saying that we’re stopping by?” the Knight asked as his secretary nodded and went somewhere a bit further away from the two.
”As you may have guessed, I’m under the Harmony Sector or as some of us would call the ‘Neutrals’. We don’t have many members, but a lot of our members are already Class A and S Knights so we’re fi—“ without finished his sentence, Matthew pulled Hinata closer to him, a bit to the side. His other hand came up quicker than the eye could see and caught a bloody arrow that was shot from somewhere behind the Balance Keeper. The Knight’s calm expression changed to a serious one almost naturally and immediately.
”What’s up, Matty?” a figure taller than the Nature Knight who had a crossbow at hand said as he walked up to the two.
”Not funny Jamie…” the Knight said sternly, handing over the arrow the other Knight had shot.
”Oh come on, that was going to kill anyone—“

Hinata had been nodding along as Matthew spoke, but she was more than suprised when he pulled her closer. It took her a moment to realize he had caught an arrow, mostly distracted by how he was holding her.
"Oh," she said softly, mostly to herself. It took her another moment to realize the person wasn't actually a threat.
