The zombie Coral had bashed crumpled, and she darted forward again. Several were sidetracked from heading towards the other person in favor of going after Coral, and she cursed like a sailor. She dodged through them, trying to stay as far away from them as possible. Don't get caught don't get caught don't get caught- she kept screaming this in her mind as she raced forward. She managed to stay to the edges, avoiding the main mass of rotting flesh as she hurried towards where the shots had come from. She couldn't tell exactly which building they were from, though, and was making her way past the one Kun was in as she searched.

Hannah heard the sound of a voice, and, although faint, made her freeze. She pulled her knife from her bag and stared in the direction of the sound, fingers tapping agitatedly on the handle.

Why was someone here right now? And why here?

She shook her head and flicked her empty lighter with her free hand, watching the window above her, where the voice had come from.

Tsk.

Kun had to fire another shot at the group of zombies, wanting the other person to be able to locate where he was.
This might have been a mistake though as he missed and accidentally fired at a car parked and abandoned there, causing a fire to start.
”Fucking… great…” he gathered everything he needed, kept the rifle, got out his knife, and ran out the back door to silently follow the other person.
Soon, the car would have exploded, causing a loud sound to ring across the area.

Coral looked over when she heard the shot, seeing the house where Kun was. She had started towards it when Kun came out, and she figured it'd be better to introduce themselves on the go. She kept herself from showing it, but she was both terrified and disgusted with the fact she had to talk to another person. Maybe she could fake being mute? Social skills weren't exactly needed now in the world, but she was still as awkward as hell. This train of thought was interrupted by the exploding car.
"Holy mother of fuck?!" She exclaimed, spinning around. She stared with wide eyes at the flaming car, stumbling backwards a bit.

Rachel stepped silently around the room. She crouched by an ripped up backpack and carefully opened it. "There are supplies here I might as well, see what I can use. But I don't think this would be a good place to set camp." She looked through the bag and pulled out an small brown bottle of something. "Povidone Iodine," she read the label out loud as she usually did when she was on her own. "Nice, I can use this." She placed it into her own backpack, then she looked in the other backpack again. "Is that para-cord?" she reach in and pulled out the rope. "It is indeed. Sweet." She put it in her backpack and was just zipping her backpack shut when she heard the sound.
A growl. But this was different from a normal zombie growl, this one sounded much more animal.

When the voice didn't reappear, Hannah breathed a quiet breath of relief before gathering her gear. She glanced around the side of the building, looking for a good place to climb. The pipe led up past a window, and she hoped that there wasn't glass over it. She pulled her bag over her shoulders, gripped the narrow bars of the pipe, and started to climb up, less nimbly than she would have wanted, but weighed down by her gear. The pipe trembled and rattled slightly, and she froze, glancing around. No one was in sight.

And then she lost her grip for a second, and let out a sharp, panicked gasp. She grabbed at the pipe again, heart pounding. Though nothing bad had happened, that was way too close, for her.

Rachel whipped around and scanned the room with her flashlight. A small sense of panic rising in her chest. The growl echoed the room again this time with more of a snarl. Something was watching her. No, something was stalking her, and Rachel was practically cornered where she was. She moved slowly towards a door, an escape route. That was when her flashlight hit something that glinted back to her. Eyes.
Something was moving towards her. Some sort of creature. On all fours, moving towards her.
"Oh shit shit shit!" She jumped backwards out the door, pulled her dads old glock, and firing at the creature multiple times. She hit it once only seeming to make it angry. It snarled and launched at her. Rachel took off like a rocket down the hall, which led to stairs. Knowing that her shots would have attracted more zombies, going down stairs would be a death trap. So she sprinted up stairs. Behind her she could hear the sounds of the creature giving chase. And closing distance. She planted herself up a flight of stairs from it and took aim using her flashlight to find it.
Three shots, and it staggered for a moment. Rachel took that as an opportunity and started running up the stairs again. Bursting onto the roof and spinning around again to try and kill the creature, Rachel took several steps back. She had a better chance of surviving up here where there was still some light coming from the setting sun.

When she got to the window, Hannah pulled herself into the room and leaned against the wall, breath coming out of her in gasping pants. The room was empty, which was good, and seemed to have a sturdy door. She dropped her stuff on the floor, walked over to the door and locked it, before going back to her stuff and collapsing on the floor. Her cheek pressed against the worn wood, and she closed her eyes, trying to control her breating.

She pulled a blanket from her pack and wrappedit around herself, leaning against the wall. She put her face in her knees and let herself be consumed by silent, tearless sobs, which shook her. She pinched her lips, trying to regain control of herself, and after a moment, did so, although her eyes were still red. She yawned widely.

Rachel stepped back as she watched the dog like creature stalk back and forth. It had come burst onto the roof not long after Rachel had gotten up there. It looked like a zombified dog, but worse. It moved much faster and seemed almost smarter than regular zombies. Blood dripped from it's jaws and fur seemed to be falling off it's body. It looked half skeletonized. It took a lot of will power to not gag at the sight of it. It reminded her of the time a sheep had died in their barn and hadn't been removed for three days in ninety degree weather. The sheep had a fleece mad of maggots and had fallen apart by the time they could remove it. Not a great day.
The creature seemed to be looking for an opening, but Rachel was following it with her gun and it didn't seem to sure about attacking.
(True story about the sheep. It was terrible.)
