Elliot wiped his tears away. "No. It's not you…I know how you feel…" Elliot said sitting back on the swing.
"Sorry for making feel uncoverable…And about you're friend, just forget her…Leave her alone. Don't keep her in your heart. You'll just feel worse…Take it from an expert." Tried to comfort her. He smiled and looked at the time.
"Oh…I have to go. Im Elliot by the way. El for short. Hopefully ill see you soon!" He said waving and walking off with his hands now stuffed in his pockets.
"Thank you. For letting me get that out." Angel hugged herself, having finally stopped crying. "I'm Angel. See you." she called, standing up and walking home.
(We can timeskip to the next day if you want.)
(But just wait a while. I have to do something.)
(Good good! You?)
The next day was a bit better for Elliot. He got a new 'friend'. He didn't know what to call Angel. A Friend or just another fake. He was in a self battle. He walked to the park and sat on the swings. Elliot scrolled through his phone and found an open job. He would apply later. Now, the only thing t do was wait. Wait for Angel. It was sad. He had nothing to do and made friends with a stranger. He sighed looking down.
(I'm pretty good.)
Angel woke up the next morning and walked to the park again. She noticed El on the swings and sat down beside him.
"Hi." she uttered quietly, looking in any direction but at him. She didn't want to be called weird for staring at him. "Um…how are you?" She had absolutely no idea what to say, so she just went with that.
Elliot looked up. He smiled that responded, "Im alright. How are you, Angel?" He looked down at his phone. He sighed. Was alright… He thought, turning off his phone.
(Sorry it's short. I gtg its almost 1:00 PM for me. Cya tomorrow!)
(Ok! Goodnight!)
"I'm pretty good. Y'know, considering." Angel attempted to look him in the eye when she spoke, but only ended up lasting two seconds before she averted her gaze down to her feet.
She wasn't ever really good at socializing, but hey, she was trying.
(When is it going to happen? And what power will they get?)
(The title is just the prompt I used to get an idea for the starter. El can be anything or have any powers you want. My character's not even human. [Though you can't really tell just by looking at her])
Elliot sighed and shifted his gaze to the side. Someone was watching him but he didn't know who. He smiled at Angel and said, "Huh. I have to do something. I'll be back in a minute." He jolted to his feet and walked around, looking in every direction. He shook his head. It was probably a figment of his imagination. He turned back and noticed a person with a black mask. He turned around, but it was too late. The person was gone. He walked back to Angel and sighed.
"What's wrong?" Angel asked as El approached her. "Is everything ok?" She glanced around worriedly, trying to see if anything was amiss. People were walking and biking along the trails and kids were playing on the playground equipment, but that was about all that was going on.
Elliot looked at Angel. "Nothing." He shook his head. He spotted the masked man again and this time he ignored. He wanted to lash out at the strange person but he was in a park. Many children and people were there and if the man were to get away everyone would have thought that he was crazy. If this happens agin…im catching that person. Elliot thought, smiling at Angel. "Anyway, what now?"
Despite still feeling a bit uneasy, Angel shoved her thoughts down and said, "I don't know. I was thinking…did…would you want to…nevermind." She just couldn't get the words out. It was a stupid idea anyway. It's not like he would say yes. She wasn't even sure El liked looking for seashells.
There was a river next to the park that she would usually go to for rocks and seashells alike. I guess you could say she was a collector of sorts. Rocks, seashells, coins, pins and bottle caps could all be found stored away in her room.
"Huh?" Elliot said, confused. "What happened? I'll go to any place. What do you want? I won't laugh or anything!" He said, concerned that he might have made her even more uncoverable than she already was. He searched his head. He smiled awkwardly and said, "Anything you want! Really!"
Hearing him say that he was so willing to please her made her mouth form a soft smile. She didn't think he would really be interested in anything she brought up but decided it was worth a shot.
"Do you want to look for seashells with me?" Angel asked, wringing her hands. "There's a river just on the other side of this park and there's a bunch of cool stuff there."
Elliot smiled. "Sure! Let's go!" Elliot said, pocketing his phone. As he got up, he looked at the time Half-past 2…I've been with her for a while… He thought, Looking at the sky while walking with her. "So what school do you go to? I go to Wellington High. Im in 11'th but ya know…" He sighed.
"I'm homeschooled with my brother. We moved here about a year ago." Angel answered. She started humming to herself as they walked.
(Sorry. I'm tired so my responses will be shorter.)
"Oh. Well, I also moved here. But it was like, 5 years ago." He stopped walking and sighed. His old life and his life now was two opposite lives. He wished he moved back, but he didn't remember where it was. At least he had a new friend. He fought up with Angel and awkwardly laughed.
(It's alright.)
