Hi so my school's being closed tomorrow and I know I'm going to be super bored, so here's a roleplay! Basically, I had the idea that there's two people going to a boarding school for art. It's an expensive school for students who excel in any art subjects, such as: visual arts, media arts, drama, dance and music. Our characters are roommates, and that's about it. They can be friends already or strangers, whatever :)

(of course! I’m about to go to sleep, so I’ll post the form tomorrow :) if you have any questions too I’ll answer them when I see them)

Name:
Age: (probably around 16?)
Gender:

Personality:
Talent: (what they're at the school for)
Background:
Other:

@charkieshark

Name: Cyrus James
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual (closeted)
Appearance: Cyrus is conventionally attractive. He has naturally tanned skin and curly brown hair that's usually quite messy. It's shorter around the sides and he lets the top grow out. He's got a few pimples because what teenager doesn't, but it doesn't take away from his looks. His eyes are a light shade of brown.
Personality: He's usually relatively confident, and doesn't have much impulse control. If he thinks something, he just says it. He tries to be kind the majority of the time, but if someone pisses him off, they'll know it. Despite his confident, he gets flustered pretty easily. He isn't the smartest tool in the shed, absolutely horrible at math and extremely oblivious.
Talent: Music - he can play a lot of instruments and is fairly good at most of them, apart from guitar and piano. He is insanely good at playing piano and guitar, and sings a bit too.
Background: He was abandoned by his parents and adopted by a couple who couldn't have kids. His mother is a doctor and father is an accountant, which is how they can afford the tuition.
Other: His parents aren't super supportive of the lgbtq+ community, so he tries to convince himself he's not bisexual, but deep down he knows he likes boys just as much as girls.

Name: Seven O. Laarman
Age: 15 going on 16
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Pansexual
Appearance: Seven has floofy, black hair that is in a wavy bob. He has generic cinnamon-brown eyes that are large and almond-shaped. He has no visible pimples or other, though most people accuse him of wearing makeup. He's relatively short and thin, having some people go as far as calling him a fairy. He's been said to have a very cold gaze.
Personality: To match up with his gaze, Seven isn't a very friendly person. He oftentimes ignores people or just completely pushes them away. He'll look a person in the eye while they're talking to him, then walk away without saying a word. Most people describe him as rude or harsh, seeing that most of his words are blunt and straight to the point. However, he isn't always like that. He tends to open up a bit more to people that he likes and thinks over his words a tad more. Though no one really knows this seeing most people don't get that close to him.
Talent: Dance- It's not really his favourite thing to do, but he dances ballets. Due to his small and weak build, he can't really play any of the male roles, seeing that pretty much all of them require them to pick up the female role. So he's always stuck playing the female roles.
Background: Seven had gotten a scholarship to the school after being recommended by some of the top ballet teachers in the area. Ballet wasn't really his dream, it was his mother's failed dream that she forced onto him. He began ballet at age eleven and had been learning ever since.
Other: Before classes, Seven tends to sneak around the music department to listen to the music students practice. He also tends to think of how to dance to them.

(okay sorry about this but I probably won’t post the starter until much later because I have to work today and I’ve got homework that’s still due next week because my school closed a week early, so I’m not sure when I’ll be done with that)

@charkieshark

(okay my schoolwork is mostly done as of today, my japanese teacher is giving us homework for the holidays but other than that I'm good. my work's given me a bunch of shifts this week because there's a lot of people who aren't working cuz y'know pandemic and all that jazz. anyway, just wanted to let you know :) I'm working on the starter now)

He hadn't been at his new school for more than half an hour, and Cyrus was already checking out the music department. He was wandering around the department with his guitar on his back. He'd passed a large storage room for people's instruments, which was already filled with other students' stuff - there was also another room for all the school supplied instruments. It was locked, but Cyrus was pretty sure he saw a bagpipe in there, which he'd never tried playing before. He was definitely going to try that out one day. What he was really excited about, though, was the recording rooms. There were three of them, each with their own tech area and each different sizes. There was a bunch of people in one already, so he went into another one. It was the smallest of the three, but he didn't mind. He just wanted to check out the sound.

Cyrus took the guitar off his back and sat down in one of the seats in the room. He started to play a random tune - one he played whenever he was bored. It was silence, apart from his guitar. With nothing to interrupt the music, he quickly got lost in his own head.

As he'd anticipated, the dancing studios were extremely plain. They were those plain gray rooms, full of mirrors forcing you to look at yourself. Full of emptiness. The floors seemed to shake with every movement, no matter how gentle or quick. It made him feel as though the floor was going to cave in and take him with it. That's why he hated second-floor dance studios. He stepped into the dance studio, trying his hardest not to make the floor shake at all. The silence in the room seemed like it could've drowned him, a feeling just as pleasant as it was not.

He saw how much time there actually was before the beginning of classes, so he decided to take a moment to wander. Of course, seeing what a music-loving soul he was, he found his way downstairs to the music department. He took notice of multiple students in practice rooms, some together messing around, others alone and just playing. He appreciated those who played, for he believed that it truly sounded beautiful. He stood around near a practice room where he heard someone playing guitar, though of course, he wasn't going to poke his face in front of the window to figure out who.

Instead, he just listened, swaying along a little, thinking about how he'd dance to such a tune. It was something he was particularly fond of doing, though he refused to let anyone know that.

Cyrus played for a little longer, before switching to another song. This one, an actual one - Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. One of his favourites, since it always made his mother smile when he played it.

He quickly got lost in his thoughts, and they soon drifted to the thought of the school. The fact that it was a new place, where he had no friends. He hadn't even met his roommate yet. He brushed that off, though. They'd meet soon enough.

As his curiosity peaked, Seven quickly poked his head in front of the window of the practice room to catch a glimpse of who it was. He caught sight of Cryus, only slightly intrigued. To Seven, Cyrus at least looked like he was popular, so he was quite curious as to why he was alone. But, of course, he didn't pry into that.

Instead, he decided to walk to his room before classes and see what it was like. He walked into the room and looked around the area, it was nothing too impressively large, but it was still something. He was not exactly pleased with the idea of having to share a room with someone, but he knew he'd have to put up with it.

He began doing stretches and waiting for his roommate to arrive. He was not happy about the situation, but he still wished to see who this person was.
