“So I’ve heard. You’re very vocal about what you think looks best on me, huh?” Claude grinned, keeping his shoulder leaned against the doorframe and his arms crossed.
“So I’ve heard. You’re very vocal about what you think looks best on me, huh?” Claude grinned, keeping his shoulder leaned against the doorframe and his arms crossed.
"I simply want everyone to look their best. Don't want people making fools of themselves." She said with a shrug. "I'm not going to stop you wearing a bun. But I like it down, shows off the waviness of it better."
“Oh, I make a fool of myself just fine with my hair down.” Claude laughed, cocking his head to the side. “But if you insist, I guess I can take my hair down.”
"I don't insist, only giving advice. It's on you whether to take it or not." She said with a shrug, as she began to make her bed, humming a bit, taking breaks now and then to enjoy her tea.
“Oh, sure, sure.” Claude nodded, moving to where he was actually in Crystal’s room. “Are you feeling a little better, then?”
"I guess." She shrugged and rubbed at her eyes. Her face was covered in freckles everywhere but she always covered them up. An old childhood nickname of hers was Dotty, which she hated.
“Didn’t know you had freckles.” Claude rapped his own cheek, referring to the freckles on Crystal’s. “They’re cute.”
She blushed and looked away. "Thank you darling." She said softly, surprised by the compliment. She finished cleaning and sighed. "What. Would you like me to cook for dinner?" She asked softly, looking at him.
“Anything’s fine, but.. you know it’s only like- noon, right?” Claude gave Crystal a confused smile. “But if you’re the only one cooking, it’s your choice.”
"Well. Even if it's noon, I still need to go out shopping for groceries." She said simply. "You choose since you had to deal with me being…well, a mess."
“I’ve dealt with messier breakups, don’t worry about it.” Claud reassured her, stretching. “If it’s my choice, though, I just want the easiest shit possible, ‘cause I just finished cleaning dishes and don’t wanna do more.”
"Hmmm…I guess we could have the pizza in the freezer." She then began to grab stuffies off her bed, jackets and shirts from her closet, pictures. Everything that reminded her of her ex. She then headed outside, asked someone who was smoking a cigaratte for their lighter, and lit the whole pile on fire.
“That wouldn’t hurt- what are you doing, good God?” Claude stared at the fire when he walked outside, pulling a cigarette from the box. “That’s gotta be violating at least two laws, right?” He used the flame to light his cigarette, taking a few drags.
"It is NOT." She said sassily. "At least…I don't think so dear. Oh well. It's better than me beheading the fucker." She said casually.
“I mean.. burning shit in public has to be some sorta illegal.” Claude wrinkled his nose at the smell of burning clothes, which felt more than a little ironic.
"I don't think so. As long as it's a controlled fire and it's safe and easy to put out, then it's fine. Speaking of which go get a bucket of water please dear."
Claude held up the cigarette. “You sure you want me to? I’m not putting this out.” He took another drag, smoke curling out of the corners of his mouth.
"If you don't put it out I'll plant roses in your floorboards while you sleep and throw out all the alcohol and fruit tea." She said angrily.
“I like flowers, so that doesn’t mean shit. Plus, I got a job to replace all that.” Claude purred, his voice teasing. “Plus, ain’t it more like.. cathartic or whatever for you to do it yourself?”
"Cath-no. Go get the water I'm plenty healthy. I want to watch it burn. I'll make sure the Roses have no petals or buds, only thorns. Now shoo!" She said, waving him off with her hand.
“Ugh, fine.” Claude finished the cigarette, dropping it and grinding it into the pavement. “I’ll be right back, I guess.” He skulked off, going back inside to fetch water.
"Thank you dear~" She purred and went back to watching the fire burn with a small smile on her face. Now to totally repair the life she had built around him. She made sure to take pictures as it burned to the ground.
Claude came back out after a few minutes with the water, handing it over to Crystal. “Should I take a step back?”
"Hm? And why would you do that?" She asked as she threw the water on the fire, watching it fizzle out.
“Who knows? How’s the saying? 'Hell has no fury like a woman scorned’? I don’t like the idea of being near hot water in this situation.”
