Cassian watches Raz's internal struggle with a furrowed brow, his concern masked by a veneer of steely resolve. He knows the weight of unspoken emotions, sensing that there's much more beneath the surface. He tilts his head, a silent invitation for Raz to continue when he's ready.
When Raz discloses the council's ominous plan, Cassian's eyes harden, matching the seriousness of the situation. The temple, a sanctuary for countless people, is under threat. The city's heart about to be attacked is a reality he can't ignore. His thoughts race as he contemplates the potential devastation and the need for action.
"We can't let them succeed. We have to protect the temple and those who rely on it. But we need a plan." He'll need to return to headquarters and let them know what he found out. The sooner they find out the best course of action, the bett.er
Raziel sighs, turning his head side to side, “Well, of course not. That would be bad. But I’m not sure what about it they’re planning. Whether it’s a bombing or a shooting. Not sure on when either.” He sighs heavily, staring at Cass.
“I know this doesn’t help much, but I’m doing my best. Nimari will tell you more as I learn more.” He grins, flipping upside down on the bench, his head hanging.
Cassian listens intently to Raziel's words, the gravity of the situation weighing on his mind. He nods slowly, acknowledging the limited information they have. "I understand, Raziel. Your efforts are appreciated, and we'll do our best to stay vigilant and prepare for whatever comes our way. Nimari has been a valuable source of information, and we'll be ready to act when the time comes."
He watches as Raziel flips upside down on the bench, his expression one of concern. “How are you holding up?” He knows that it’s hard being undercover. It can really take a toll.
