Name: Vhi Koujha
Age: 642 years old. Her species has a long lifespan, so this is not an unusual age. In fact, Vhi would be considered to be an average, if not young adult, age.
Species: Khorghas
Gender: Female. Vhi does not care what pronouns are used for herself; making them an oddity of their own species. Most people have referred to Vhi as one of feminine identity, though.
Orientation: Pansexual panromantic.
Appearance: Right away, you can see Vhi is a tall figure. She towers easily over most humans and certain alien races, being around 6’6” in height with an added inch or two due to her ears, which are long, pointed and positioned on the top of her head. Her entire body is covered in a thin layer of dark red fur, and I put emphasis on thin. The furriest part of her is her tail, swaying lightly behind her, though she’s careful not to let it get in the way of things. Due to this, certain things such as some chairs are hard for her to use.
Vhi covers her face, which is often the most fearsome physical feature of the Khorghas. Their faces - hers is no exception - are canine like, with sparse, often red or charcoal grey scales planted onto certain areas of the face that grow with age. The teeth are uneven yet extremely sharp, with the front canines often being the largest. Vhi has large enough front teeth for them to hook out of her mouth even when it’s shut - not like anyone would know, though. Their eyes are somewhat large and they may occasionally have a smaller second pair behind the main pair; Vhi has these secondary eyes. Hers are viewed to be a yellowish red, which can be seen through her mask (which doubles as a translation device) that she wears. The most peculiar feature of their faces is the fact the jaw can split into three; the top jaw staying intact and the bottom jaw becoming split at the middle.
The fur on the back of her neck and head grows long, almost like hair which sticks out.
She has a smaller secondary pair of arms. Her black claws are long, set upon bony fingers.
Personality: Vhi is a modest and polite individual, most of the time. Her way of being aggressive is usually passive aggression - unless she feels the energy to be outwardly aggressive, which she rarely does. In fact, Vhi often feels shame at her own actions if she is aggressive. She’s a ponderer - she can think on the same topic for hours, and I’m not gonna even say what she’s like when debating.
Vhi may not be the best team player, although she understands the importance of teamwork.
She’s not too good with understanding social cues, or technology. She knows what she must understand, and that’s that.
Secret(s): Back on the Khorghas homeworld, Xaiklo, Vhi did some terrible, terrible things. The Khorghas species, as it has been for thousands of years, is often ruled by the Emperor or Empress. But Vhi was born with a rare ability - and she used it to win the attention of the Emperor. Once she had his hand - and heart - she spun the strings and waged war on the world, creating chaos on Xaiklo for two hard years. When she was defeated, she was forced to escape, her own power stolen from her.
She only got away by forging herself a new identity, and refusing to speak on her work on Xaiklo. Now she is known as Vhi Kouiha, a name far different from the one the people of Xaiklo knew her as. She regrets her actions considerably, and knows the people of Xaiklo would surely execute her if she were to return. If only she could tell the people the truth of what happened, on why she became the Mad Empress.
Being left considerably weaker and under a new identity, Vhi left to join the military soon after, hoping it would wash away what she had done. However, she also committed things that would be seen as terrible within the eyes of the public world. But nothing that she did in the military would ever reach the heights of the Mad Empress’s Reign, an event told even off of the planet of Xaiklo. Poor Vhi, when she heard the gossip while she was in the military, mentioning the Mad Empress. Little did they know, the former Empress stood next to them in battle.
Skills: Speedy and incredibly acrobatic in combat, she also remains to be stealthy. Even under casual settings, Vhi has found herself sneaking up behind the people she meets, often greeted by an, ”I didn’t even see you!”. It was for that reason she once was an assassin in the military. Not anymore, though.
She’s good with persuasion, at times.
Excellent memory, good at absorbing knowledge. She often doesn’t need to be told something more than once.
Weapons: Khorghas blood is heavily acidic and slightly flammable - can be used as a weapon of its own if needed. It’s for that reason why she doesn’t try to cook things, seeing as there’s a lot of pointy things in the kitchen.
Herself, though in combat with others that may have explosive weapons and lots of guns, she usually doesn’t do that.
Instead, she prefers a staff. But it’s not a normal staff - it’s not made of wood. It’s more of a tech staff, but with one end being hooked with bone, and the other end doubling as a gun that can be used to shoot plasma at attackers. Effective at mid to close range. Not very good with most guns; something common with the Khorghas in general. Even Khorghas that can use guns have sworn themselves off of even holding one.
Other: Khorghas do not have the correct vocal cords to speak most languages, though they can understand it. Because of this, Vhi wears a mask which covers the upper half of her face, leaving her ears, back of her upper neck and lower jaw visible. One can see when she speaks because of that. The translation device/mask is a pale grey, nearly white, made from a durable, metal like material, leaving her eyes visible as well. The device does a good job at sounding organic and not robotic, but you can easily hear her mother tongue underneath the voice from the device. Khorghas speak in a mixture of growls and snarls; Vhi is no different and these growls can be heard underneath the voice of the device, but she isn’t growling at you, I assure. You’d know if she were.
