(I always enjoyed stories like these. LGBTQ or straight, it still sends the same message in a different way)

Muse A is part of a long line of rich landowners that fed off of the backs of the workers. Muse A has just turned 18 and the family brings in another fairly equivalent family and introduces the person Muse A is supposed to fall in love with.

Muse B has run away from the land that was owned by the same greedy landowners. The workers were never given names since they were "less than human to be bothered with." Muse B struggles to get food and warmth since he has nowhere to go.

It''s a rich person falling in love with a poor person
