“No. No, we wouldn't.” Lorelei nodded as she slowly released her hold. “Do you need any more help cleaning up?” she asked, gesturing slightly towards the basin and soap with her chin.
“No. No, we wouldn't.” Lorelei nodded as she slowly released her hold. “Do you need any more help cleaning up?” she asked, gesturing slightly towards the basin and soap with her chin.
"Well, would you like to bathe with me?" Eleanor asked, arching her eyebrow knowingly. "It will save you an extra tub of water."
Lori laughed a little, shaking her head slightly. “Aye. That it would and I'm not opposed to the idea but, love,” she cleared her throat as she tried to explain, “on a ship like this, we only have so many barrels of water for drinking, cooking, or bathing. So we try to save as much as we can.” she sighed and shook her head again. “We usually save baths for special occasions or emergencies or when we visit an inn at port. Mostly, we just lightly wash using some water in a bucket… At least on deck. Personally, I was just going to use the water and soap right here and… clean what I needed to.”
Eleanor's eyes widened a bit at what Lorelei was implying. "O-Oh… right, of course." She smiled a bit hesitantly, used to having a maid be able to run her a bath at her beck and call. She had bathed nearly every day. "Sorry. It may take a bit of getting used to, but I'll manage, my love. We could still stand close and let the water pour over both of us," she suggested.
Lorelei sighed softly and hugged Eleanor. She hadn't forgotten the kind of life her love had just left, and she wasn't naive enough to think the transition would be easy for her. “It’s alright, Ellie. I know you will. Because I'm going to help you.” she reminded gently. “I won't sugarcoat how things are but I’ll help you through it.”
"I know you won't, my love," Eleanor murmured. "And… I'd appreciate it if you call me 'Ellie' all the time now. Please don't call me 'Eleanor' anymore. I'd like to leave that name behind with my old life." She relaxed into Lorelei's touch and sighed. Her body was so familiar, it was like coming home.
Lorelei raised a brow at the request but nodded, understanding what she meant. “Alright, Ellie.” she smirked. “Maybe I’ll just save “Eleanor” for special occasions.” she teased with a soft chuckle as she kissed her love’s cheek.
"Thank you," the ex-princess murmured, and she blushed a bit. "And what special occasions would those be, my love?" she asked quietly, welcoming Lorelei near her in any capacity.
“Oh, I'm not sure yet.” she smiled, shrugging. “But I imagine they’d be private ones. Either just you and me, or with the crew sometimes.” Lorelei offered. “Now, what was that suggestion of yours a moment ago?”
Ellie grinned and kissed Lorelei’s check. “Thank you, dearest,” she murmured. “That sounds lovely… We could still stand close and let the water pour over both of us,” she repeated herself from earlier, a small smile appearing on her lips.
Lorelei nodded, kissing Ellie's cheek again as she pulled her closer. “You mean like this?” she asked, smirking as she picked up the pitcher and began pouring the water over both of them.
Ellie gasped and clung to Lorelei as the water rushed over her. It was colder than she'd expected it to be, and she shivered as she pressed deeper into Lorelei for warmth. "Y-Yes," she stammered. "Exactly like this."
Lorelei laughed and held Ellie closer as she stopped pouring the water. While she was not a fan of the cold, she had to admit that she’d sailed through colder weather. “Well, that's one way to wake up.” she chuckled as she grabbed the soap. “You alright, love?” she asked, feeling her shivering.
Ellie nodded quickly. "Mhmm!" the woman hummed, still shivering against Lorelei. "Damn," she breathed. "I-Is the water always this c-cold, love?"
Lorelei gave a thoughtful hum before shrugging. “I'm not sure. Never really noticed.” she admitted. “Then again I’ve never just poured water over me like that before either.” she added with a chuckle. “Here. Let's finish getting ready and I can ask Charlie if she would mind warming up some water for us next time.”
(just bumping this and our other rps so you can find them. 😉)
(Thank youuuuu!)
Ellie again nodded eagerly. "Yes. Dear g-gods that water is freezing!" She clung to Lorelei tightly and buried her face in her lover's neck, placing light and gentle kisses on her skin. "Keep me warm?" she asked melting herself against Lorelei.
(anytime!)
“Of course, my love.” Lori nodded, feeling her breath catch in her throat at the gentle kisses. Though she couldn't help smirking at the closeness. “We… We'll warm up faster once we dry off and get dressed.” she pointed out almost reluctantly as she didn't make a single movement to pull away.
Ellie frowned and pressed her face even closer into Lorelei's neck. "But I want to hold you," she moaned softly, letting her hands trail gently up and down Lorelei's bare back. "I'm making up for lost time."
Lori shivered slightly and held Ellie closer. “You’ll get no argument on that from me, love.” she whispered, turning her head so her lips were next to her lover’s ear.
"Good," Ellie mumbled. The young woman shivered slightly from the feel of Lorelei's lips brushing her ear in addition to the cold water that still trickled down her skin.
Lori chuckled at Ellie's response and pressed a kiss to her jaw. “You know how much I missed you.” she said softly, honestly wanting nothing more than to just hold her lover all night.
Ellie sighed happily and kissed Lori's neck again softly. "I know," she whispered. "Because I've missed you the same." Her eyes slipped closed as she relaxed, truly relaxed, for the first time in what felt like years.
“I know you have.” Lori smiled softly, still whispering. To anyone else it may have sounded strange; that the pair knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, how much they missed each other. But their love for each other just ran that deep. “I promise, Ellie, you'll never have to feel that way again.”
"Swear it, darling," Eleanor murmured, opening her eyes again and holding Lorelei tightly. "I never want to have to spend even an hour apart from you again. My soul couldn't bear it. I've missed you more than anyone could miss someone in a hundred lifetimes. So swear it to me that we'll never have to part again."
