"It isn't that big of a deal," he said, rolling his eyes at her enthusiasm. "Your dad might fuss at me for a bit, but he wouldn't fire me."
"It isn't that big of a deal," he said, rolling his eyes at her enthusiasm. "Your dad might fuss at me for a bit, but he wouldn't fire me."
She nodded and smiled slightly, pulling unruly strands of white hair out of her face. "I doubt he'll notice anyway, he's probably too busy pouting about his loss," she began. "Or keeping that protest under control."
"Or blowing the issue way out of proportion by sending guards to arrest them," he said with a shrug, getting up onto his feet.
She said nothing, but took her final bite of her breakfast and set down her fork. "Are you busy today?" She asked, her stomach fluttery.
Dionysus tilted his head in thought. "I shouldn't be, no. Why?"
"Um…well.." she stuttered, palms welling with sweat. "I was wondering if you could stay with me, if you want." She didn't meet his eyes. "Just for a little while.."
He shrugged, sitting back down. "Sure. Anything you want to talk about in particular?"
Prim breathed out a short sigh of relief. "Well, we've only ever talked about what's going on outside, and stuff like that. I want to know more about you." Her pinkish-red eyes met his hazel ones, and the corners of her mouth turned up slightly.
"Well…." he leaned back in the chair and folded his hands over his stomach, staring up blankly at the ceiling. "What do you want to know?"
"What do you like to do?" She asked.
"It depends on the day," he said with a shrug, gently patting a rhythm onto his stomach. "I read, practice archery, play guitar. Every once and a while I go out for a few drinks with my friends."
