She smiled, and soon forgot her resolve to be ladylike. She started swinging her legs. “Ah… I like to sew. I can mend my own dresses if they repairing. Occasionally I like to make a whole new dress.”

(Hey-! Is this open? If not sorry- I’ve gotta character thats based off of Cinderella and creepy pasta mixed together-)
(Clearly, this isn’t open. However, if you want to do this, I can create another thread with this same prompt)
(Ok- sorry about that btw I was kinda confused. You dont have to as well if you don’t want to.)
(It’s alright. Unfortunately I’ve been busy and I don’t think I have time for another rp rn, sorry)
(Its ok! Thanks for the offer and sorry to bother you.)
Gus looked at her in surprise.
"Ah," he said, smiling. "I secretly make my own clothes as well, but if my mother and father caught me they'd be quite upset."
"They think royals should not risk their precious time or touch on things that are not needed, if another person can do them for you, but I disagree, how will we learn if we do not try things on our own?"
She raised her hands up to her mouth excitedly. “Truly? Oh, I would love to see your handiwork.”
She then lowered her hands and tilted her head. “Yes… isn’t it also important to think of the person who does those things for you? If they make your clothes all the time, then they would likely be appreciative of you doing the work for them.” Her excitement faded a little. Honestly, she was speaking from her own experience with this.
"That is true," Gus admitted, tilting his head in the opposite direction of her own, mimicking her actions.
"I do enjoy making less stressful lives for our seamstresses and cooks as well as any other kind of servant we have."
He looked at her a little sadly.
"Did you know some of them have been working in their fields since they could walk and talk and have not taken a single day off?" He informed her, "I wish I could pay them to just live here instead of slaving away for the sake of my family."
“Oh dear…” Ella’s voice softened. “I can believe it. I wish that too, it sounds wonderful…” Her gaze drifted, as did her thoughts. She was not paid at all for the work she did for her stepfamily. Her father had wished for her to inherit a good portion of his wealth, but her stepmother was quick to take it all for herself.
"it saddens me greatly." Gus said, looking off into the distance.
"I hate having to see them put in so much work all the time, it makes me extremely grateful for the life I have."
Ella only nodded and did not respond. She became lost in her thoughts, wondering why everything had to be the way it was. She was here now, and she would make the most of it. But afterwards, she would have to go back to her life with her stepfamily. Back to work, to drudgery and exhaustion. Back to wearing tight trousers and being called a name she already decided wasn’t hers. The thought filled her with dread and disappointment.
"Pardon me if I am overstepping," Gus said, looking shy and rubbing the back of his neck.
"But you look quite saddened." He added quickly.
She looked up, coming back to herself. “O— oh, I am alright. You just… made me think about the staff that works in my own household. They look so exhausted. All the time…” her voice was quiet.
Gus frowned.
"Yes, well as long as your try to treat them as if they are your own kin it makes a very noticable difference in their lives."
“I do. But I feel as though I must do something more, yet I can’t…” her voice was still soft, almost a whisper. She took a breath. “Perhaps I need something to eat or drink,” she murmured.
(I can't continue in this anymore, I'm sorry, I've had so much going on and this is the first time I've been on here since August and I'm busy trying to apply to community college while also working full time and figuring a way to move out of my toxic household, again, I'm really sorry but I just don't have the time anymore.)
(That’s totally okay dude, I get it! I’ve been very busy as well. I hope things work out for you)
(thank you, I really appreciate that :) )
