The prince looked up from his drawing and turned to Ina. He noticed the slight differences, but he chose not to mention them. "Yes, I would like to get out of here if possible. However, I'm not sure how to do that. The doors leading out of this area are locked, and so are the windows. Unless you can do something, there really isn't much. I guess you'd probably know some way to leave, though, and I know that you're looking forward to being free. I am incredibly sorry for the king's actions. I may be his family by blood, but I do not consider him family after everything he's done to me, and now everything he's done to you, too." He couldn't help but express a bit more of the strong hatred he had for his father. It had only grown once he had realized that he had locked others away for no reason in even smaller and more dangerous places. "My strong hatred of him aside, why don't you try to find the way out or just let us out if you do know a way? He is never in this area except for on my birthday, where he tells me how much he regrets my existence and limits me to a more confined area. I'd say we get out of here before a couple of weeks from now."
He then grabbed his drawings and some of the things he wrote, hopefully looking at Ina, knowing that today might just be the day that he is given his freedom, the day he can live his life outside of confinement and be who he truly is. He was definitely looking forward to it, wondering about what awaited him outside of the castle gates. It was all so close to finally happening. After years of confinement, he was finally going to be free.
Ina nodded slowly. Windows could always be smashed, and most doors wouldn't be able to stand up to them, either.
"Thank you, Adrian. I'll get us out quickly." They carefully stood, unfolding to their impressive height of 7'2". Ina let out a breath. White mist started gathering around their feet, quickly spreading through the small room. The entire area took on a washed-out appearance, except for Ina and Adrian. They closed their eyes, guiding the mist throughout the entire castle. It probably wasn't necessary, but it was better to be safe than sorry. No one would be able to stop them if they couldn't move. "Are you ready?" While they were sure the prince wouldn't be happy if he stayed there any longer, it might be hard for him to leave the place he'd lived in all his life. Then again, from what he'd said, it had been terrible. Whatever he chose, Ina decided that they would do all they could to keep him safe. He'd been the one to free them, after all. They would make sure he would be able to escape and do everything he wanted to.
Adrian looked up at Ina, seeming to be a bit excited to finally leave this castle and see the real world. "Of course I'm ready. I've been ready for years now. You don't know how glad I am that you're actually helping me find the way out of here so I can live my life without being stuck here. My family could leave, but I couldn't." He then noticed the white mist in the room. "Excitement to leave this place aside, why is the room covered in mist aside from us? I didn't notice it until now, but it's definitely strange. Does it have something to do with the escape, to make sure it goes perfectly? If that's the case, then let's go!"
He truly was excited to leave this life behind and actually be able to live. His family could, but he was always prevented from leaving and even going outside after he reached a certain age. Then it turned into complete confinement. He was basically a prisoner there, despite living there and having never done anything wrong. His family disliked him for reasons unknown to him. While the permanent confinement started when he was thirteen, it had happened multiple times throughout his childhood for reasons he didn't understand to that day. On top of every reason he knew, there were still more that he didn't. He was glad that he could finally escape from everything.
"Perfect." Ina started towards the door but paused at the prince's question. "Ah, that's my magic. It's just there to make sure no one can get us. I can explain it later if you wish. But for now, we should get out." They opened the door and headed out. What they were looking for was a door or window that had been unlocked recently. Techincally, they could do one that hadn't been opened recently, but they were still recovering. A recent one would would be much easier. Eventually, they found one that would work. Ina raised a hand towards the door and concentrated. It clicked open after a few seconds. Ina quickly pushed it open and stepped through. There was someone frozen a few feet down the hallway, but Ina paid them no mind. They wouldn't be an issue. "This way." They headed the opposite way of the person. If they were on their own, they would simply get outside as quickly as possible and climb any walls they faced. But Adrian was here, so they couldn't do that. Going out a normal way would work better.
