Yep! I very much would like to continue that!
Same!! Wanna continue where we were, or kind of start at the beginning? Like when they still lived together? I'm fine with anything
Start more at the beggining, I suppose.
sweet. wanna start? Or should I?
Ig I could start, unless you want to this time.
I'll probably disappear for a minute here so it just depends if you want to wait or not XD
Aight, I had to disappear as well bc meh device died, lmao! Also, Ig I'll start it now. Let's begin at the point where Half-Life is calling Daniel/Epsilon back, shall we?
(Btw, Half-Life is actually a person called Sally. Just a quick heads up.)
"Daniel! Time to get ready for dinner!" Sally calls from the door of the small cottage on the edge of the forest. She waits for her child to reappear.
Dnaiel, a small, fluffy haired boy with tanned skin emerged from the bushes he was playing in. "Coming mama!" He calls back, running back to his cottage home. He could already smell the meal that was made for him wafting out the front door
Sally grins. "There you are, pumpkin. Wash your hands. And take off those boots before you come in!"
Daniel laughed, slipping off his muddy - and much too big - boots as he ran inside and hugged his mother. "Mama! I found flowers!" He said proudly, holding the purple lilacs out for her to see.
Sally kneels in front of her son and hugs him tightly. She leans back and takes a look at the flowers.
"They're beautiful, pumpkin. Put them on the counter for now, because your hands are filthy. I swear I told you not to get too dirty." she laughs.
Daniel laughed, then skipped off to the washroom, quickly scrubbing the dirt off his hands. He took a glance at the mirror, and noticed something… odd. but a moment later, and it was gone. Daniel simply shrugged and dried his digits before skipping back to the kitchen.
“Smells yummy!” He exclaimed, standing up as tall as he could in order to see over the stove
Sally watched as her child skipped off, smiling. When Daniel returned and tried to peek into the pot on the stove, she lightly pushed him away.
"You know not to get that close to the stove. Anyways, I'm making chicken soup." she says, laughing. "It'll be another couple of minutes."
Daniel grumbled, Folding his arms.
“I’m not gonna touch it!” He protested, but his demeanor changed at the mention of the soup
“That’s my favorite!” He cheered happily
Sally grins. "Yes, but heat. You know as well as I do that the heat is just as dangerous as the fire itself."
"I know. That's why I made it. Also, it's your birthday. Why shouldn't I make you your favorite?"
Epsilon, ran to the table, setting out bowls and spoons for the both of them. "Thank you, mama!!" He said graciously, eagerly awaiting his meal. After all, turning seven was all he had looked forward to for weeks.
Sally hums, then pauses when Daniel thanks her. "You're welcome, pumpkin."
She carefully ladles out the brothy soup, and smiles. "Let's eat."
Daniel eagerly ate the soup, relishing every taste his mother had poured her heart into. He couldn't imagine a life without her, and the type of person she was. Once he finished, he wiped his mouth with a napkin, smiling at his mother. "Love you, mama."
Sally smiles. "Love you too. Now, if you want, we have desert, or we can wait a bit…" she says, her sentence trailing off teasingly.
Daniel jumped up and down. "No! Mama, we can't wait!! Pleasee!"
Sally laughs, then walks over to the box that was on the counter. Opening it, the smells of sugar, cinnamon and caramel fill the air.
"Sweet rolls!"
Daniel gasped in excitement, running over and smelling the sweet scent. It had been a long time since he had any pastries. "They smell so good, mama!"
"You may have two, pumpkin. After that, it's time for bed." Sally says, handing over two of the aforementioned pastries.
