Hinata never expected for Matthew to not have his secrets- Hinata did too, after all, great big giant ones that would never see the light of day. She didn't know if her trust in anyone from the Labyrinth was a good thing, but that didn't change the fact that she did. Hinata looked up when they arrived, nodding some.
Of course, she'd never truly get used to animals randomly turning into people. It was sudden, and unpredictable at best in this place. Hinata offered a small smile to the woman, hand on Matthew's still.
“What’s your name miss?” The owl girl had asked with a bright smile as some other animals rushed out. Some of which, Hinata has met before. They all came out in their animal forms; an amber Maine Coon, six foxes with the colors of— red, yellow, green, blue, white, and black, and finally, a parrot. They looked at Matthew for a moment before they all turned to Hinata.
(Me, slipping too much into character and damn near having anxiety panic just from the thought of this happening to me: hehehehehe n o)
"My name is Hinata Hayashi, it's nice to meet you." Hinata bowed some, still with a small smile. She waved to those she knew, offering a small hello. It was nice to see some old faces, and those close to Matthew. She had to admit, she was a tad bit jealous. There was a reason so many people lived with the woman- she was terrified of what would happen to her family and friends while they aren't around her.
(The fact that this is a thing makes me so happy. just ignore me stalking)
(me too!)
(TSL has come so far from when we first joined in it)
(I knooooooow! I am so happy about this.)
(It has indeed come a long way. Aisen has also become much— MUCH— hotter than last time XD)
Matthew had slowly pulled her along inside, past all the animals, that was. He wanted to have her inside, more so that he could talk to her a bit more easily. He sighed, looking at the open door before walking in. Of course, the animals looked confused as to why the Knight acted like this but they did not ask. They just went back to what they were doing before.
“Right, so… about the Infection and all that,” Matthew had started once they were inside. “We have reports already that approximately one-third of the Knights may be infected, whether they show symptoms or not. Those who are infected may show that they are indeed infected or may hide it, like how a parasite hides within a host, or worst case scenario— the Infection ‘controls’ the Knight,”
Hinata was a bit surprised by Matthew's actions herself, but she let herself be pulled along to inside easily enough. The woman watched Matthew as he led her along, trying to figure out why he had ignored everyone who'd come to greet them.
Once inside, Hinata left her hand in Matthew's a moment before pulling it away, nodding some.
"That is… Highly concerning," she admitted. That could mean that anyone in the Labyrinth could be Infected, whether they show it or not, and could be spreading it perhaps without even them knowing anything is wrong.
The Knight nodded.
“We’ll start our ‘trip’ tomorrow. You must be tired, please just sleep through tonight Hinata,” the Nature Knight stated as he looked back into the house. “There should be some rooms which aren’t taken,” he stated. “You can take those ones,”
Hinata nodded.
"I will. Thank you, Matthew. Good night." Hinata offered a weak smile, turning to head to the rooms. She stretched since as she stepped into the first unclaimed room she came to, stepping inside. She was ready to just go to sleep, and she'd probably punch someone if they decided to stop her.
and because no one is going to stop her for the night, we shall head to the next morning!
(oh my God, when was the last time she got a full night's sleep in the Labyrinth??? XD)
(Uh… never? XD)
(Anyways, wake her up! lol)
Hinata slept peacefully that night, her jacket draped over the bed. When she woke up, though, she found she'd forgotten to finish braiding her hair, and was faxed with the free half being a tangled mess. She did her best to fix this before heading downstairs for the day ahead.
Because she went down quite early, no one, apart from Tenshi—the light fox, was awake at that time. He was staring up into the sky in his humanoid form—light skin, white hair, soft yellow eyes—and was showing a rather attractive smile. He looked calm… at peace with himself.
(A. Go Talk with Tenshi)
(B. Head Outside from the Back of the House)
(C. Return Upstairs)
(D. Stay in the Living Room)
Hinata was still running a brush through her hair, looking up to see Tenshi. She remembered him, vaguely. It had been quite a long time.
"Good morning," the woman said after a moment, offering a smile as she walked some towards the fox.
The light fox turned as Hinata approached him, smiling. “Good morning Hinata,” he spoke softly, looking at the sky and breathing in the fresh air. “A good morning, isn’t it?” He said with a small smile, reaching out his hand forward and letting a fallen leaf from a nearby tree land gently on his hand.
Hinata wasn't about to argue with that. Really, there was no reason to. Even with the happening of the world around them, they could still have good mornings.
"Yes, it is." Hinata smiled as well, letting her hands fall to her sides as she joined Tenshi.
The light fox had turned to Hinata, looking at her with softened eyes. “There was a report earlier in the middle of the night, about the sudden disappearance of some children in the nearby neighborhood. I wanted to go investigate the scene,” he averted his eyes and turned back up to the sky “—if you’d do me the honors?”
(A. Head there immediately with Tenshi)
(B. Wait for the others to wake up)
(C. Change the topic of discussion)
Hinata's eyes narrowed some with concern at the news.
"I think I would want to go with you," she said, mind churning. Did it have something to do with the person she saw the day before? With the Infected? Or was it an entirely new problem?
“Well? What are we waiting for?” With that, the fox had stepped forward and onto the road of the Sector’s build. He turned to Hinata, making sure that she would follow him to the scene. “We can talk your stress away along the way, if you’d like to—“ he extended his hand towards her gently “—milady,”
Hinata followed after, thinking to herself some.
"Oh, ah… thank you." Hinata offered a small smile, taking Tenshi's hand as she continued to walk with him.
"There is something that has been bothering me," the woman admitted, looking around some.
“Go on, I’m listening,” the light fox had said with a small smile, holding her hand gently as they walked down the road towards where the case was.
"Well… Matthew and I encountered an Infected Knight on the way to the house," Hinata noted. "And, after the fight… I saw someone. I didn't think much of them then, but I found it strange the way they were looking at the scene. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I have a bad feeling about them."
