(An interesting twist)
(Considering how tall Noctem is, he might not fit in some places inside the castle. It shall be interesting to see how that goes, unless it’s a situation where Cayden rarely lets Noctem out. Either way)

Deleted user

(Well, he's kinda just in a permanent corporeal form, because of how the summoning and hosting works. One of the magics he can cast is a spell to alter physical appearance, which is very helpful in some cases.)

Deleted user

(That would be Cayden, the host. Noctem is mainly in the biggest small room that can fit him, in an obscure wing of the castle. Noctem is rarely seen. In terms of "dominance", they are both equal partners. They cannot do anything else, seeing as how any arguments aren't confined to their heads.)

(Thank you! I like making characters that are "lovable". I put lovable in quotes because I'm sure you've seen Nyx in my dark fantasy rp.)

Deleted user

(Yeah. I could see if I could try to find anybody who might be interested.)

Deleted user

(Could I join? I have an idea- maybe I could be the "Chosen One"? Also, do you require a writing sample, since we haven't RPed together before? If so, that could be a bit of a problem, seeing as how I haven't really done anything yet. I'm pretty active, I am on any day of the week besides Sundays. I am not religious, btw. I just go soemwere that has no wifi on Sundays. And as far as I'm aware, I have no triggers.)

(Okay, good! Oh, and here's my character idea: a Daylighter vampire. I'll explain more in the character sheet. Also, is this a yes to joining? Sorry if I'm being a little dense.)

(I don’t get why some folks say ‘dense’ when ‘breif’ gets the point across much better. Me rambling again, anyway)
(I’m honestly not sure how to feel about a Daylighter Vampire. Unless they have something magic, like a ring or potion, they use to protect themselves, or if they are of a variety that can develop the power to walk in daylight when they reach a certain age. Either way, that makes me think they would be considerably weaker during the day, and thus less likely to be seen by default anyway. I don’t know, just putting some stuff out there. I generally prefer the traditional, nocturnal vampire though, even if said vampire likes to be diurnal and just spends most of their time indoors to avoid sunlight)
(And yes, you may join)

(Okay, thank you! Also I mean "dense" as in stupid.)
(My version of a Daylighter is that a vampire becomes one when someone with divine blood willingly lets a vampire drink their blood to save the vampire's "life". The vampire would gain the ability to walk by day without burning, and speak the name of God without choking. They would still live off of blood, however, since being a Daylighter does not change that. But the vampire would certainly be weakened in the day, even being a Daylighter. The vampire would be more powerful than their non-Daylighter kin.)
(And sorry about the long sheet/late reply. I got a little carried away with explanations and whatnot. You don't have to read all of it; I also slept later than I had planned on, after staying up until 5 in the morning on my phone.)

Name: Cassiel

Aliases/Nicknames, if any: Cass

Race: 1/3 elf, 1/3 faerie, 1/3 human; Daylighter vampire

Age: 6+ centuries. It is unknown to any except her how old she truly is. She looks 19, however, but p

Gender: Female, she/her. Not too picky about relationships.

Description: Cass looks 19, but people generally think she's 12 or 13 because of her size and voice. She is 5'2", with blond hair cut in a faerie bob. She has blue-green eyes, with thin, winged eyebrows. She is tanner than a vampire usually is, due to her Daylighter powers. She has a slightly curved figure, but still has a more pixie-ish build than most. She has a naturally mischevious look on her face that can quickly go from playful to menacing. Her voice is very musical and light, like the notes of a harp. There is also a silvery birthmark on her right shoulder in the shape of a styllized star.

Personality: She is a playful creature, always moving. She likes playing jokes on people, and sometimes these jokes go a little too far. However, despite this seemingly innocent exterior, she can turn into a being of vengeance if any of her friends are hurt, and has been known to nearly kill herself trying to save someone. (That's actually how she became a vampire, then later a Daylighter. But more on that in a second.) She doesn't like rudeness, and generally avoids people that seem mean. She'll try to talk with someone and use diplomacy if confrontation is unavoidable. However, if that doesn't work, she uses magic and her shortsword to gain an advantage, sometimes resorting to biting and scratching her attacker if need be. She is very forgiving and open, despite her long years as a vampire, experiencing hate and racism because she's a vampire, and one with faerie, elven and human blood.

Backstory: Cass became a vampire when she noticed one of her friends being harrased after dark by an unussually gaunt and pale man. She went over to try and stop the man, but he became increasingly more agitated as she talked. When the man lunged at Cass's friend with a hungry snarl and a crazed look in his eyes, she told her to run and faced off against the feral vampire. The fight was over quickly. As she lay there, bleeding out, the vampire, having regained his senses after feeding, said "I am so sorry for doing this to you. I was not in my right mind, but that does not excuse what I did… what I tried to do. When you rise again, as you surely will, I will be here should you feel a desire for revenge." She tried to speak, but her torn throat made it impossible. She settled for looking at him with… pity, and forgiveness. A look that said, "People do bad things. That does not make them bad people. That just means they made a mistake, and can make sure they don't make that mistake again in the future." Later, when she was talking with her new friends, they were attacked by a orc raiding party. She managed to kill off more than half of them, and injure the rest, but sustained serious injuries that wouldn't heal fast since she hadn't fed recently. Her friends found her again, after having run when Cass had screamed at them for hesitating to flee when she told them to. One of them grabbed a knife and proceeded to slash their wrist open. At this point, Cass was nearly dead, but had just barely enough "life" left to grab her friends wrist and start feeding, thereby allowing her to heal and live. Unknown to them, dawn was fast approaching. The nearest shelter was still quite a good distance away, and the sun rose. They tried to cover Cass wih cloth, but it did no good: cloth cannot save a vampire from the sun. To do that, you need walls and a roof, or Daylighter powers. Nobody knew how Daylighters were made, but it didn't matter: she already was one, because of her friend. As the suns first rays touched her, she closed her eyes, prepared for the end… and lived.

Notable Powers/Skills: Cass can walk in the day without burning, walk on holy ground without desintegrating and speak the name of God without choking. She's trained her body to accept a lot of non-blood food, like wine and steak. However, she still needs blood to avoid starvation. She is way stronger and faster than any human, and has been known to accidentally punch holes in solid granite. She can sense emotion, lies and obstacles, i.e. walls, chairs, tables, people, etc. This is because of a spell cast on her to help with her blindness.

Other: She's blind, actually. She can sense emotion, lies and obstacles, i.e. walls, chairs, tables, people, etc. This is because of a spell cast on her to help with her blindness. She became blind shortly before her rise as a vampire, due to some nerve damage in the brain, where sight is controlled. Nobody has wanted to try messing with it, however, because they are afraid that they might damage her mind permanently. A clever soul simply cast the above spell on her, and since it didn't alter anything, just allow her to sense stuff, she didn't run the risk of becoming a vegetable.

(Ooh, Cassiel, my darling, you’re gorgeous!)
(Lmao, I’m not sure if that was me or On’nyosh talking, but I like her, and I love the Daylighter idea. Fair warning, On’nyosh might be flirty around her, lol)
(And don’t worry, I’m a nightowl, so I literally just woke up, lol)
(And just to double check, Cassiel is the Chosen One, yes?)

Deleted user

(Shut up, clown! I will end you if I need to. Don't test me.)
(Yes, she is. Also, I'm not sure who that was either.)
(She'll slap On'nyosh if she needs to, if he gets too… familiar.)
