(Cool, you're welcome!)
(Cool, you're welcome!)
(Would it be okay if my character were like the god of light and purity?)
(yea but the story isn't going to focus only on her ofc. it's just her personal motivation for wanting to restore the order, she wasn't a 'chosen one', she just thinks it's her job to because order is the thing she'd preside over. i'd think that has a lot of room for character growth 0: )
(Would the God of War and Passion be okay?)
(Yeah!)

(Ehh, still feels like a chosen one narrative to me. Moving on.)
(Would it be okay if my character were like the god of light and purity?)
(Eh, it's fine I guess.)
(Okay, thanks. :D)
(it's a little bit frustrating that i'm being dismissed so easily. if i'm going to devote time to this, i'd at least like you to hear me out and give a little more thought than it just "feeling like" it, yknow?)
(I mean, I dunno. I can see where he's coming from, and even if it's not what's going to happen, feelings are cause for a lot of rejections and a lot of people see past the two-sided coin that is called "logic". But I'm gonna just back out of this now. I just wanted to say that. Sorry if it offended any party.)
(i'm totally okay with going with a different idea if it really comes down to it, and i hope i didn't come across as disagreeable. i would jus like to understand how exactly this follows the 'chosen one' trope so i can alter it accordingly, y'know? my understanding of my idea is that she is the goddess of balance, and right now the world is in disarray, and she needs a motivation to go and fix stuff. so she feels like she has to stay true to her name as the goddess of balance, and, well, restore the balance, thus giving her a drive for her character. my understanding of the 'chosen one' trope is that some outside force (via prophecy, oracle, some grand cosmic outline) designated that she would be the only one capable of resolving the conflict and that her path is predetermined by said outside force, whereas with my idea, no outside force has any impact, and she doesn't think she's the only one capable of doing anything, she just thinks she's obligated to because it's in her name. i had intended for her character arc to be breaking herself out of her self-imposed box and learning to be more than what she defines herself to be, to feel okay with having regular thoughts and emotions and having a life outside of being a god. like like, very rigid and a workaholic, but then she goes through character growth that makes her more laid back and willing to enjoy life as well as be more okay with having chemistry with the rest of the party. i don't articulate my thoughts very well so i'm sorry if i don't make sense.)
(I dunno. It could be a good idea for your own sort of story, but isn't what I'm looking for here. Sorry.)
(fair enough. could i have some ideas of what you are looking for, then?)
(Perhaps. Tell me, I'm excited to hear!)
(huh? i meant, what did you have in mind for this? i don't know what you'd like and i don't want to take shots in the dark.)
(Uh… I kinda have a vision, but not one I can explain in words. I want to sort of subvert expectation of what the gods are supposed to be ya know?)
(ohhhhh, that changes things. i made a mistake, then, huh. i'm sorry for diving headfirst into this, i got too excited about character creation and went too far, i should have asked about what exactly these characters were supposed to be beforehand. that's my bad, i'm really sorry. i'll try and come up with some concepts and get back to you asap.)
(Well, Uhh. I guess this isn't happening anymore since starlight deleted his account.)
(again.)
(well. heck.)
