Brutus smiled at Cassius, closing his eyes. His face tingled a bit. His body was never going to get use to the kisses. He fell asleep against Cassius, his head on Cass’ shoulder. Brutus few thoughts before sleep were occupied on Messala and Caesar. He could get them out of his head, as if something bad was to commence.
Cassius had fallen asleep as well, nestled into brutus. Well, until the morning when a pounding on his door made the roman jerk awake
Brutus poked his head up, wondering who was at the door. “Who could that be, Cassius?” He questioned. He yawned and sat up, getting up and walking out into the living room. He looked at the door and waited for Cassius. He didn’t dare to open the door. Who knew what could be behind it.
Cassius got up sluggish and opened the door. He rubbed his eyes and looked up at caesar " I'm coming just give me a moment to wake up my lord.." He yawned
Brutus looked at the door with disdain. “Do you have to go spar with him?? It’s dumb. You could get hurt further.” He stalked off to the dining room. “Plus I don’t like being left alone.” He mumbled, laying down on the bench. He shook of the weight of early morning.
Cassius tried to hush Brutus before caesar heard. Eventually, the door shut and Cassius went to get his sword and armor
Brutus frowned. “Cassius, why can’t you just stay home. Tell him you are unwell to spar today. I don’t want you getting hurt further. Your arm look terrible.” He sat up went over to Cassius. He looked at his arm, his face turning sour as he sees how red it is. “Cassius. You’re not going.”
" I have to my dear Brutus, if he wishes to spar then he needs to talk, if I ignore him he will get more aggressive " he explained and walked to the door " plus there is nothing you could do to get me to stay, "
Brutus glared at Cassius. He took the man by his tunic and shoved him against the wall, arm over the base of his throat. “That’s going to make you stay, I can guarantee it.” His breathing was hard and he stared Cassius down. He gave him a kiss and smiled. “Now you’re definitely going to stay. Who cares about that fool?”
Cassius moaned a bit when Brutus slammed him against the wall " you will start something you cannot finish dear Brutus," he taunted " I'm very stubborn "
Brutus raised an eyebrow and the slammed his hand across Cassius mouth. “You don’t want Caesar to hear, now do you? You may be stubborn, but you are not stupid.” He let go of Cassius mouth. “I start many things. But I don’t know what you mean by can’t finish, dear Cass.” He took his arm away from Cassius throat.
Cassius growled softly at Brutus, " I will be back. Brutus, I have to go." He walked off to grab his sword and to the door " you of all people know Caesar will not kill me, "
Brutus whined. “I highly doubt that, Cass. You shouldn’t be sparing with him. It’s not good for your health. You already have a bad wound.” He pouted and watched Cassius leave. He shook his head and when to go have some bread for breakfast.
Cassius walked with Caesar. " So, what is it you'd like to talk about "
Caesar smirked at Cassius. "I was going to talk about another subject, but now I have another one. Why is Brutus staying with you? Doesn't he have his own home to go back to? A wife, hm?" He gripped the handle of his sword. "I find it odd, don't you?"
" I do not, given his situation. His wife has become a whore in his own bed. " Cassius growled, the man wasn't happy, " you wouldn't happen to know by who would you, because I promise I am going to stab the man through his heart when I find him"
Caesar smiled deviously. "How—unfortunate for my dear friend Brutus. Bad things do seem to happen to him. I don't think he'll continue to be my friend." He laughed and patted Cassius on the back. "Of course I wouldn't know. But I wouldn't expect Brutus fixing this issue by laying with you." His laugh grew harsher.
Cassius seemed confused for a moment " why wouldn't Brutus be your friend." Then he said it.laying with Brutus " Caesar I laid with you once because you wanted to know what it was like. You got you fill and left me on the street to fix my broken heart! You have no word in what goes on in my life, " he snapped, drawing close to Caesar. He didn't give two fucks if Brutus heard his raised voice. His knuckles glowed white around the hilt of his sword
Caesar continued to laugh. “I may have laid with you once, but I found someone else. I’m your Lord. I can dictate what happens in you life or I can remove you from the senate.” He shrugged. “Brutus is Brutus. He doesn’t like many. Now you would hurt me, would you Cassius?” He drew his sword to protect himself.
" then remove me, I do not care to be at your beging will. " He growled and stuck at Caesars sword, pushing the man back and slamming back into his house, " you spare not my Lord nor my lover! I never loved you!"
Caesar laughed. “You’re a brute, Cassius. Why don’t you stop fighting with me and go tell Brutus who really layed with his wife.” He laughed and pushed Cassius back. “You are removed! Right now! You’re useless.” He glared at Cassius. “I never said I loved you.”
Cassius flinched a bit. Crying helplessly " I fucking hate you Julius. " He said, dropping his sword and heading inside. Cassius was sobbing by time he got to his room, unable to look at Brutus when he pasted the kitchen
Caesar laughed and went on his way. Brutus saw the door swing open and watched Cassius run inside crying. Instead of going to beat the shit out of Caesar, he went after Cassius. He entered the room. “Cassius? What happened out there?” He sat the edge on the bed. “Cass..?”
" fucking Caesars dumb ass knows." He sobbed while wiping his eyes, Cassius had curled into his blankets and faced away from Brutus. He hurt, but not physically, his heart hurt. The rough break up between him and Caesar still hurt like hell, no matter how he cut it off
