"I'm glad you enjoyed it." his face felt warm with a blush as he watched them laugh. God, he loved their laugh. It was one of the many reasons he had developed a crush on them in the first place. Still blushing, he answered "We shall." and he got off the car, trying his best to stay calm. Composing himself and letting his cheeks go back to their regular color, before looking back at Maren, and then shifted his gaze to the neon glowing sign above the Chinese restaurant. The restaurant itself on the outside was a little rundown, looking like every other building on the block, but with Chinese decorations strung here and there, including a poster of a cute panda with what he had always assumed was a motivational quote or advertisement written in Chinese. Unlike the rest of the store though, the sign looked almost brand new. It barely even had any stains on it. "So, whaddaya think?"
Maren got out of the car as well, staring up at the sign of the restaurant. This place seemed like somewhere they would go with Ince on the rare occasion they ate out. It looked cozy and casual–the perfect place, in their opinion. Fancy places had too many expectations, and cost too much on top of it. "It looks amazing," Maren said, turning their attention to Cyrus. "I can wait to eat here! Maybe me and Ince could come here sometime too," they mused, starting towards the door of the restaurant.
"Well, let's go then!" Cyrus replied, as he followed Maren into the restaurant. The thing about this particular place though, was that he was actually childhood friends with the owner. They had met in elementary school, and were particularly drawn to each other because they were both first generation Americans. As they entered the Chinese place, he saw his friend, Tevin, at the counter. "Hey! Siro! How've you been?" Tev asked enthusiastically. He held a baby in his arms, who just seemed to be staring at he and Maren "And who's this?" he nods to Maren. Cyrus opened his mouth to answer, but before he could, Tev outstretches a hand to Maren "Nice to meet you! I'm Siro's old friend, Tevin Wei. You can call me Tev though."
Maren entered the restaurant, immediately noticing the person at the counter holding a baby. Apparently, he knew Cyrus, given how enthusiastically he greeted him.
"I'm Maren Villa," Maren said, grabbing Tevin's hand and giving him a careful shake. "It's nice to meet you, Tev," they added, giving him a soft smile. "Who is this little one?" Maren turned their attention to the child in Tev's arms.
