Vespera follows after Sam quietly, watching him and jotting things down quickly.
After a bit she dispels her magic, after getting in front of the man.
"Hello." she says.

After a bit she dispels her magic, after getting in front of the man.
"Hello." she says.
Sam blinks, stepping back and staying silent. He looked the woman in front of him. Black hair, pale skin. He frowns, "What?"
He wanted to go and take a nap, catch another squirrel and try again. Naps were important. Sleep was important. And then his tests.
"I noticed you fiddling around with a small animal. What were you attempting to do? Maybe I can help." Vespera asks.
She stares the man down, her dark eyes locking onto his forcefully and cooly.
Sam scolds at her, "Sorry, sweetheart, I don't just tell random people the things I do." He moves to take a step around her.
He was tired, and he wanted a nap. Talking to random people was not on the plan of the day. Or hour. Sleep was his next objective.
Vespera tilts her head, her eyes glowing just slightly now.
"I am not exactly. . . random. I was just as deliberately here as you were." she replies.
Sam shrugs, “Too bad. I dont want to talon to to you.” He keeps walking, shoving his hands into his pockets. His bed was calling. He was tired. Make this woman go away and leave him in peace.
"How exactly can you avoid talking to me?" Vespera asks, genuinely curious, turning and watching the man as he walks away.
He looks at her, frowning slightly, staying silent and then looks away again, still walking, keeping his hands on his pockets. He shrugs slightly on response, still going towards home. And his bed.
Vespera shrugs as well.
"Fair enough. Though, I do have an offer that may be of interest." she says quietly.
Sam pauses, "What?" He doesn't turn around, but he did stop walking. He really just wanted to get this over with and go to bed. But he could hear her out.
"You seem interested in knowledge. Knowledge that can sometimes only be found by causing pain. I suggest making a contract with my Master. He is the Lord of Knowledge. He can teach you ways to do your experiments, and give you ideas for new ones." Vespera smiles.
Sam stays quiet, "Hm. And what will I have to do to get said help and knowledge?" He turns around. He knew things always came with a catch, he wasn't a fool. But the offer was enticing enough to get him to pay attentions
"You simply give your findings to me, for me to give to my Master. I am obligated by my own contract to report any new knowledge to Him." Vespera replies.
“And who said I wanted to share my findings?” He looks at her, “If I wanted to share them, I would have by now.”

"Maybe you just haven't had anyone that would want to know your findings." Vespera replies quietly.
Sam shrugs, “Maybe. But if you want to know them, why don’t you do it yourself?”
"Because I don't know what experiments you do. If I knew, I'd do them myself, wouldn't I? That's why that argument is inherently flawed. If I want to know, you have to tell me so I can do them - but you don't want to tell me, I can't do them, meaning that either way neither of us get what we want." Vespera counters.
Sam shrugs, “Technically, I can still get what I want. I can still do the things I do.” He hums softly, “And all you have to do is come up with them.”
"Only technically. You stayed to listen to my offer. You're interested. But at the same time you want to go through without giving up some of your own knowledge for the greater good." Vespera sighs.
Sam shrugs, “You’re right.”
"So what is your choice?" Vespera asks.
Sam shrugs again.
"I'll let you think on it." Vespera chuckles. She touches Sam's shoulder, and a black spiral appears there, then blossoms into a black rose. "Just tap that to contact me."
Sam moves away, scowling, “Don’t touch me, please.” He shifts slightly.
