Landon stared at his reflection in the mirror. He poked at his busted lip, wincing slightly. Then wincing at the wince. He decided then that he shouldn't pull too much on his lip. He didn't want it to start bleeding. "What do you want?" He asked the kid from the hallways rather harshly.
Jamie squeaked, biting his lip. “I Uh…. I-I didn’t mean to bump into you back there…” he murmured, eyes wide and scared. “I just wanted to say, sorry!”
Landon raised an eyebrow at him. "Oookay. Well you have, you can go now. You're trembling so much I'm afraid you might faint if you're in my presence any longer."
Jamie tried to steady his nerves, his eyes flickering to the door. “So there’s not going to be a problem?” He asked softly, blinking his wide eyes up at Landon.
Landon raised an eyebrow at him. "Why would there be a problem? It was an accident. Now go to class. You seem like one of those that freak out when you're late."
Jamie shook his head, looking a little put-off. “I am not. I’d be fine missing a class or two.”
Landom snorted. "Yeah sure, whatever. Run along. I don't need your company."
Jamie huffed, turning to the door. He seemed to hesitate for a moment, turning his head to look at Landon. “What happened to your lip? Was it the fight?”
Landon resisted the urge to bang his head on the wall. "Yes. It happens. But the other guy look worse than me so I can deal with a split lip and a black eye."
Jamie bit his own lip and tilted his head. "Would you like some help with it?" He had no idea what he was doing at the moment. "I've had a split lip plenty of times and the nurse's office has a great cream for it."
Landon sighed frustrated. "You don't know how to take a hint do you? I want you to go. I want to be left alone."
Jamie shot him a dirty look. “Of course I got the hint. Maybe I’m just trying to be nice”
"Has it occured to you i don't want you to be nice to me? I would like to be left alone. So shoo shoo." He made a shooing motion with his hands.
Jamie persistently stood there. Now he was a little annoyed. He had just tried to be nice. “And if I don’t want to leave?”
Landon turned his body completely to face him. He crossed his arms over his chest. "Then I'll leave, simple as that."
Jamie blinked, turning on his heels. “Alright, Fine.” He mumbled, moving towards the door. That was the last time he’d be kind to someone.
"Don't let the door hit you on the way out." Landon called after him with a smirk. He turned back to the mirror and sighed
“Oh screw you too.” He called over his shoulder, a small look of annoyance upon his face.
Landon decided that he didn't want to go to class. He hated his first period class anyways, and his teacher hated him. He found a spot to get comfortable and pulled out his phone
Jamie did as he was supposed to and went to class, eyes glazed over as the teacher began to speak. He’d rather be speaking with the boy in the bathroom than be sitting in a class.
Landon made an appearance for second period. He would still rather be anywhere but school but at least this class wasn't as bad as others. He took his usual spot in the back if the room and dropped his bag on the floor next to his desk.
Jamie's eyes passed over the window, ignoring the pencils and the paper's being taken out for second period. After a moment of two of the teacher turning to the board, Jamie felt the snickers of John's group directed his way. They were the few bullies he was dealing with.
