Aika Higashi had created the perfect life for herself. Despite every twist and turn thrown at her, she managed to graduate high school two years early, and was accepted to Juilliard just a few months later on a classical music scholarship. She's always moved fast, but that's alright, because it means she's in control of her own life. And everything is good, is great.
And then she's diagnosed with ocular lymphoma. Suddenly, everything in Aika's life is spiraling out of control, and she has no clue how to react. Her scholarship, the most important thing in her life and the one thing she let herself indulge in, is suddenly tossed out the window, along with her already rocky relationship with her father. Now, she doesn't even have her future to think about, which used to be her go-to distraction.
And then she meets someone. Someone who is slowly, but surely, teaching her that there's more to life, and that living is okay.

For the love of the gods, none of that Mary/Gary Sue bullshit. I legit can't stand characters like that.

I sound like a broken record, I know, but I'm gonna keep saying it. Please use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation/capitalization. A few mistakes are fine, when you're tired or it's not your first language, but I'm nitpicky and can't stand it being a common thing.

Three or so sentences a response, and don't just type dialogue. I'd like to keep it going, and be able to respond without spending an hour thinking of a response.

I'm looking for someone who's decently active, but understands that I(should) have a life outside Notebook.

If I turn you down, it's not your fault. I'm just picky.

I might add to this, because I'm spacey af.
ALRIGHT. Yes, I am starting another rp, despite the five thousand I'm ignoring, and my failing classes. Anyway! The open position is kind of specific, because this idea is very loosely based off of a book(?) I read forever ago. Basically, a male popstar/boy band member/singer, something along those lines, who's either there visiting someone they know, or is staying in the hospital after some minor accident. I also may or may not be definitely hoping for a dynamic that somewhat fits the song Kids Again.

Name: Aika Higashi
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexuality: She has absolutely no clue, and has never been super focused on romance.
Appearance: Dark red hair to a little below her shoulders, that blazes like a fire in direct sunlight. She gets it from her mother, who's American. Lighter skin, can tan, but it takes a lot of work, so she never really bothered. Bruises hella easy though. 5'4 with slim curves, hides a decent amount of strength underneath her small stature. Almond shaped eyes that are a dark brown, almost black color, like a night sky without stars. She has a few scars, one on her abdomen, a few on her hips, and one thin one along her collarbone, all from the same incident, that she refuses to talk about.
Usual Outfit: When she's not wearing a hospital gown, she prefers a sort of classy casual? Black skinny jeans and either black flats or black heeled ankle boots. Solid colored tops, usually tanks or long sleeved. Finishes off with, get this, a navy blue blazer. Her mother's wedding ring on her right index finger, though she says it was her grandmother's if anyone asks. It's…slightly odd, but in some attempt at taking things into her own hands, she uses a black bandana given to her by the patient in the room next to hers as a blind fold. She never takes it off, preferring to get used to not being able to see on her own terms.
Personality: More a quiet and intelligent type. Puts others first, and her music is really the only thing she allows herself to enjoy and indulge in. Witty, holds great conversations when she wants to. Doesn't talk much about her past. Will stand up for something if it's important, but she would much rather mediate when she can.
Backstory: Uhh…I'll add to this sometime, but her mother is a famous actress. Her parents split when she was fourteen, and despite her mother's attempts to contact her, she won't talk to her.
Likes: Music, stargazing on the rare occasion, coffee(drinks it black, never anything else), reading, learning, fireflies.
Dislikes: Sweet things, not because she doesn't like the taste, but she thinks it's frivolous. Not being able to control what happens to her, wasting time, mentions of her mother.
Theme Song/Favorite: Oh Raven by Unlike Pluto is her favorite non-classical song.
