I've never done a oxo before but I'd be down to try
Okay! Before we start, could I have a sample of your writing? It doesn't have to be too long, just a couple of paragraphs or so. It doesn't have to be written on the spot, and it can be about anything!
Okay
Here are some passages from an rp I hosted (sorta dead now)
Moukib stalks closer. His eyes drift to the bag that holds the rest of the group and to the girl tied to a flaming tiger. He puffs out a breath of white cloud and takes a step back.
"I would speak to you, mortals," he says although his mouth doesn't move. The words echo in your heads. All of you, including those in the pocket dimension. His voice has a depth and age that you can't quite wrap your head around. It almost feels like you're being shown something that no one, not even the oldest angel or lykin, has ever witnessed.
"I care little of your companion's wellbeing, human." Moukib glances around before refocusing on those before him. "The future is unpredictable, the paths of time tangled. War is coming. A long one if all goes to plan. I will not have you standing in the way." He pauses for a moment, unblinking eyes focusing on something behind you, unseen to yourself. "You do not understand what I'm saying but only because the future has yet to become the present. I suggest it stays that way. This conflict is far too important for mortals that might not even survive the winter to bring to ruin." His monotone voice takes on a harsh edge. "This is the beginning of the end. And you will stay out of it."
Moukib looks at you coolly. "Thousands of years from now something must happen. This war is a stepping stone. Many may die but a multitude will replace them as time passes. Telling you this has changed little. If showing myself to you had conflicted with my interests in the future then I assure you I'd still be nothing but a legend to you." He glances around again. "I don't often give advice to mortals but I'm feeling generous. If you ever meet a god, a proper one, I'd advise against using that tone. They are prideful creatures."
Alright that's awesome!
Is there any particular "prompt" that you're interested in?
I like the sound of the demonic possession one or the murder one
Cool! Tbh I really want to do the demonic possession one so let's do that one!
Alright! Do we need to do character templates
Yeah, I'll get a template up in a bit.
Name:
Gender:
Age:
Sexuality:
Appearance:
Personality:
Demon (Which Possesses Your Character. You can make one up if you'd like):
Other:
Also, age range 14-19 please
I'll finish this in a bit I'm a sorta occupied atm you can do yours
Name: Gaia Fuoco
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Sexuality: unknown (not sure yet)
Appearance: Long curly black hair, bronze skin, dark brown eyes. Usually wears dark colours
Something like this https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/722264858961559813/
Personality: Confident and a bit snarky. She draws the attention of every room she enters simply from her presence. She's usually the one controlling a conversation and is usually the last person to break eye contact. She can be very intense and often makes people feel a bit insecure or uncomfortable. She's arrogant and very rude to strangers and people she doesn't like but towards those close to her she's caring if brutally honest and blunt. Has some serious anger issues.
Demon (Which Possesses Your Character. You can make one up if you'd like): https://pin.it/ze6pi52zhsem5g Some sort of fire demon
Other: -
Okay, that's totally fine!
(Oh I forgot, please include the appearance of the demon, just in case. (SInce the plot isn't crystal clear))
Name: Madalyn "Maddie" Brook
Gender: female
Age: 18
Sexuality: straight
Appearance: https://pin.it/juckipwymdwus3
Personality: she gets scared easily, and is very shy, but also easily manipulated.she doesn't like to make eye contact, and doesn't like social interaction. the reason for all of this is because when she was eight years old, she was kidnapped by her father from her mother (they were divorced at the time) and after three years, she, or rather her demon ran away and got picked up by a man who didn't care about her at all. repeat this running away process for about five times and she ended up with another man who treated her decently, but overall didn't really care about her that much. by this time, she had completely given up hope of every finding a safe place to hide, and be herself.
Demon (Which Possesses Your Character. You can make one up if you'd like): Dæmon
Other: —
Alright finished
Is she alright?
Yeah! I absolutely love the choice you picked for the demon!
Alright, before we start, I'd like to clear up a few things — where should we start this rp, is it going to be set in the future, present time, or past, and this isn't really a question but they'll definitely be interacting during highschool.
I think it'd be easiest to have it during present times
Alright, cool! So… I was thinking it might be easier instead of the characters starting out in their houses if they start out in the high school they attend. Sound good?
Yeah mind starting because I'm terrible at starters
nope, i don't mind at all.
When Maddie woke up and randomly walked over to the mirror, she didn't need to know that her eyes were no longer the grey-blue they normally were, they were golden, glowing golden to know that her daemon had taken control once more. Her daemon was so much stronger then she was, they usually were. That made it hard to take back control, so she just let her daemon walk her to school, "having fun" on the way. Her daemon's idea of having fun usually included scaring babies, and doing impromptu jumpscares to random strangers. When she got to school, she gradually felt her control coming back, and she sat down on a bench to be by herself.
When Gaia woke up she did so with a start and sweat slicked across her body. Her covers were damp and unbearably hot so she threw them off and immediately jumped into a cold shower all the while muttering curses to her demon for another rude awakening. She was particularly irritable on the way to school and the heat under her skin never completely faded. Meeting up with friends, they noted her sour expression and only greeted her with a nod of acknowledgement. She let out a heavy breath that appeared as steam in the cool air.
"Let's just go to class," she snapped and began striding in.
As she sat there, she didn't notice when another girl, who looked to be younger than her sat down next to her. Not super close, but on the same bench. Maddie looked up, when she heard small sniffles. The girl had short black hair, and she had been clearly crying earlier. "…are you okay?" she asked, concerned.
"Just leave me alone," the girl muttered, inching away from her.
Maddie managed a half smile, saying, "That's your demon talking, isn't it? That's okay, I'll try again when it's really you again."
"See, that's my problem! I don't have a demon," the girl burst out. After a beat of silence, she added bitterly, "Not like you social butterflies."
She hadn't been aware of it, but when a certain someone reached a hand up to brush some stray hair back behind her ears, she knew immediately. Daemon. It was her again. "Tough luck, love," her daemon spoke, her voice cold now. Of course, she hadn't come out of Maddie's body, but used the fact that she was already occupying a body and took control briefly.
"…sorry," Maddie hurried to apologize, as soon as she had control back. "My daemon…" she explained, but looked away when she saw the crestfallen face on the girl sitting next to her.
She paused for a moment, catching threads of a conversation coming from a bench nearby. A harsh whisper sounded in her ear.
"Go see! This should be interesting." It was her demon of course and it wasn't like she could just say no.
Instead, she nodded for her friends to go on without her which they responded with standing still and striking up a conversation among themselves. She rolled her eyes and stalked over to the bench, the heat emanating off her in stronger waves. Gaia glared down at the two girls, waiting for some kind of acknowledgement.
"…is there anything I can help you with?" Maddie asked, shifting uncomfortably under Gaia's gaze. She had a strange feeling about this girl. It was as if she didn't do what this girl wanted, she'd get mad.
