“Oh, that’s good then.” Bosa kept his tone neutral. It held no sense of excitement, sadness, fear or anger to it. Curiosity, maybe, but what emotions did show up were brief. “To clarify, I am also alright. I have been here this entire time.”
”That’s good to hear. Because if something had happened, we would both be in trouble.” she told him, sitting down for a moment. She eyed the broom again in concern. The microphone recorded both sides of the conversation and she couldn't think of a way to mention so 055 would understand and not someone else. ”We probably wouldn't get that request I put in for you approved, at the very least. But you don't strike me as the rash type so I suppose I'm worrying for no reason.”
“Yes, that’s true I suppose.” Could he feel..guilt? At lying? He didn’t really have a heartbeat or anything, much less organs, but if Bosa were a human, you could almost say his heart was beating out of his chest from how…tense the situation was at the moment.
“Is there something you would like me to do?” Bosa asked.
Clarissa looked at him and shook her head. ”No. Not really. I'm just relieved that you're alright. It's a good thing I forgot my keys and had to come back. Who knows what that woman would have done if I hadn't noticed her in the hall.”
Clarissa also felt a little bad for trying to trick and guilt-trip 055. Especially if he really was innocent… but there was no way to tell since the cameras weren't very reliable because of the sabotage.
Bosa would’ve nodded if he could. It seemed he was mostly in thought, typically unmoving. “That’s true.” He paused, before considering that maybe he could tell a little truth. Half truth, half lie, maybe. “The woman did come in here, actually.” He suddenly said.
“She didn’t see me, but she was looking around the cell for something. Seems she didn’t find it, though.”
Clarissa sat bolt upright at the, somewhat, unexpected news. She already had her suspicions about the woman and it seemed obvious what she would have been in here for. ”Well, then I am very glad she didn't find you. I’m guessing she left that broom when she was here?” she pointed out as she fingered her own key card. The woman didn't have one on her when she was captured but they were necessary to enter many rooms in the facility. It was near impossible to even get into the building without one. ”Did she say anything?”
“Yes, the broom was left here. And no. She only hummed a song. Then she suddenly dropped the broom and left.” In a way, it was true. Just not from his perspective. Indeed, while the woman had ‘suddenly dropped the broom and left’ it was for a reason, and Bosa was exactly the reason. He was straying dangerously close to the truth here, but he was careful not to let anything spill.
Clarissa hummed a little in acknowledgment and nodded. ”I don't suppose you recognized the song, by any chance?” she questioned, wondering if the woman had still been playing the role of janitor when she came into 055’s room then had to leave for… whatever her objective had been. But that didn't work explain the strange behavior she displayed when the scientist caught her. It might have been stretching to think that the song was a clue however Clarissa wanted to be sure and cover all the bases.
“I did not recognize the song. It did sound nice, though.” Bosa commented. That was the truth - he did not know the song.
”Ok. Well, thank you for telling me this. I’m sure that we'll be able to figure out why and how she snuck in.” she said truthfully and a little optimistic. Though she didn't know how much the information 055 had given her would help but she wanted to give the impression that it would. Does that count as gaslighting? she wondered, feeling a little guilty and unsure.
“Alright.” Bosa would move around again, before going still. It was time to rest. This was perhaps the most energy he’d expended in a while.
It would be a little bit suspicious, with how the cameras in 055’s room weren’t functional at the time of the breach, essentially meaning they had only Bosa’s words to go off of. But he wouldn’t lie to them, would he?
Clarissa nodded not really knowing what to say next. She was quite exhausted herself after all this excitement. ”Well… It's been a long day.” she commented. She didn't know if 055 actually slept or got tired the same way humans did but she certainly needed the rest. ”I’ll let you be for the night and see you in the morning.” she offered, standing up.
“Alright.” Bosa repeated, preparing to go dormant. At least, until the next day. Bosa didn’t really have a sense of time like people did, but he could faintly sense activities around him. He supposed the more active humans got, it was daytime. And when they didn’t do as much, it was night. “Have a good night,” Bosa says, after a moment.
”Good night.” she replied before turning off the microphone and heading out of the room. After making sure that she had everything, she finally was able to get to her car. If it hadn't been for that intruder Clarissa would already be home by now and resting. It had been her own decision to go back and check on 055 but she figured any good handler would have done the same if they had been there during the chaos.
(if you want to do a time skip to the next day, that's fine with me…)
((Yeah, timeskip to the next day. Sorry for halted response))
(It's fine. Sorry, I do understand but sometimes I get a little impatient.)
The day had arrived, again.
Bosa had really no way to tell the time, technically. He wondered if it was an internal clock, some sort of instinct in the back of his mind.
Whatever it may be, the sand moved across the room again, catching sense of the card, still under the furniture. The brush had been moved, however - someone during the night must’ve come in.
The sand shifted form, again to its humanoid, but it left the head alone for now.
Bosa realized he must look almost unnerving, having black sand for a featureless face. But he was willing to try and improve on the features of his face, something he’d always struggled at. Now, the only thing he needed was some sort of reflective surface - something the room, unfortunately lacked, Bosa realized, as he searched the room.
Clarissa, of course, had the benefit of clocks and knew exactly what time she left her little home and what time she arrived at work. She did make a quick stop for some coffee, considering the short amount of time she got to sleep.
After a brief greeting with the security guard at the door, to confirm her identity, she headed to her locker… Though she had a slight Deja Vu because of last night. It seemed like it just happened instead of being hours ago, it felt like minutes. She sighed and shook her head as she locked away her personal things.
Eventually, she made it to 055’s room. The lock had been changed to only allow her, and a few higher-ups, entrance after the break-in. She did bring a couple of books as a gift but she would wait before giving them. ”Good morning.”
He’d managed to get his eyes correct, but what was it with faces and him struggling so much? He tensed at the sudden voice, before realizing that it was Clarissa.
Reforming his facial covering to hide his attempt at a human face, he turned to greet Clarissa. “Hello!”
Clarissa raised a brow slightly at the sight when she walked in but quickly schooled her expression something more professional. ”I hope you don't mind me coming in here instead of the other room but I thought we could talk better this way.” she explained, carefully taking a couple more steps into the room.
“That’s fine, a bit better actually.” Bosa usually preferred to see the face of who he was talking to. The window was fine…a bit weird that, from what he could tell, it was a one way window. “What did you want to talk about?”
She smiled a little, relieved that he didn't mind her physical presence as opposed to her using the microphone. ”Well, honestly, I came to talk more about you. There's still so much we can learn from… from each other.” Clarissa said, remembering that 055 said he was as interested in humans as they were in him. ”And I brought you a couple things.” she admitted with a small gesture to the two books in her arms.
Bosa seemed to perk up almost immediately. “Oh! What are they about?” He gestured to the books. “And of course. Learning from each other is interesting too.”
