She held her hands up as if in surrender, brows flicking up. "If I wanted to hurt or kill any of you, you'd be laying on the ground bleeding right about now."
She held her hands up as if in surrender, brows flicking up. "If I wanted to hurt or kill any of you, you'd be laying on the ground bleeding right about now."
Lucas laughed weakly. "Haha… yeah… please don't…"
Skye rolled his eyes.
She waved them over in a gesture for them to follow, then strolled out of the clearing. "Ah, the name's Theresa, by the way," she said.
Lucas followed Theresa, thanking her again and taking Skye along with him.
Skye let Lucas take the lead, taking not of where they were headed.
(Ahh, now we need Annoying…)
(Yep…)
(I mean our characters can chat a bit while we wait)
(I actually have to go eat anyways)
(True)
(So sorry, my home lost Internet for a bit.)
Gun shots echoed through the block, most people, used to it, just ducked down and pulled out abook to read or something. Zain ran, shooting at an openent. He looked to be having fun, whooping and laughing.
(No problem. Just to let you know, starlight had to leave for reasons they can't get into and may not be returning until after the summer. Possibly they will if their dad lets them)
"My God," Tessa muttered to herself, ushering the group into an alley to keep from getting shot. She stood on guard, eyes darting about so that she could protect herself—and, she supposed, the others—from stray bullets. Her scales were useless if she didn't even know when to summon them.
Lucas froze and stared wide eyed at the the commotion, starting to tremble a bit in fear.
Both of his sleeves were pushed up to show the markings of his magic and his Nightshade tattoo. "One down!" He cheered, someone falling to the ground.
Tessa turned to Lucas, her eyes narrowed. "Well?" she said, pointing towards the alley to get him to go into it. Probably be better for him to be there than out in the open.
Lucas ran after her into the alley, coming to his senses. "Oh god… h-he's shooting people…" He transformed into a golden retriever and cowered on the ground, covering his face with his paws. *Maybe if I'm smaller, he won't shoot me…"
Tessa raised an amused brow in the direction of Lucas, who was replaced by a golden retriever. So I'm not the only shapeshifter out there. Though, he's more cute than dangerous.
Lucas whined softly. "Sorry about him… He doesn't do well in stressful situations." Marco laughed and picked Lucas up.
"I see," Tessa said, summoning her wings to at least act as shields. The hard scales covering the backs of the wings were a mix of different shades of gold, all depending on where the sunlight hit and how much sunlight they were exposed to. The less light, the darker the coloring, and vice versa.
Marco seemed unfazed by the transformation considering he lived with Lucas and Skye, both of whom transformed on a regular basis. Lucas continued watching the shootout and whimpering softly. "You're fine, ya big baby." Marco pet Lucas to calm him down.
Zain had gotten shot in the arm and looked p i s s e d. "OI!" He yelled, the shooter looked proud, thinking eh had taken down a gang leader but his look of pride slowly turned to horror as Zain healed his arm and pulled out the bullet.
"Oh fun, you got super healing," Tessa said, an eager gleam in her eyes as she readily jumped into the fray. "Who we fightin'?" She asked, crouching down as a bullet whizzed by her head. "Ehi!" she shouted as she looked in the direction of the shooter, "Attento stronzo! Sto camminando qui!"
