"Nooo…" Lucas gripped the fabric of Skye's shirt, hiding his face in the other's chest.

Skye laughed, "Adorable.

"I'm not cute…" Lucas mumbled through Skye's shirt, turning his ears back. He couldn't stop his tail though.

Skye laughed, "The tail betrays you…"

Lucas glanced back at his tail. "God dammit…"

Skye laughed, "The betrayal of your own tail…"

"I can't stop it from doing that…" Lucas hugged Skye tighter.

Skye laughed, "That's alright.."

I'm not that cute… he's the cute one… He hid his face again.

"Don't hide" said Skye.

"W-Why not?" Lucas asked quietly glancing up at Skye from where he was.

"Cause I like being able to see you…"

Lucas hesitantly sat back so his red face was visible to Skye. He kept his eyes down, his heart pounding.

Skye lifted his chin, "What're you so nervous about?"

"I-I dunno… I just… I think you're pretty…" Lucas blushed harder, if possible. "Or, um… handsome…"

"You're pretty good looking yourself…" he replied smoothly.

Lucas hid his face in his hands. "I-I… I hide my face b-because I get embarrassed… and… and flustered…" He stammered nervously.

"All the more cute you are babe…" he said softly.

Oh god… yeah, I'm screwed. His tail was going like mad, and he was shaking quite a bit. I guess we've made it to the pet name stage.

Skye laughed softly.

"D-Do you… Are you wanting me to call you that too?" He stayed in the position he was, trying to get his tail to stop betraying him.

"If you want to"

"Okay… b-babe… ah, it feels weird!"

"Then find one that doesn't"
