I'll wait for you darlin.
I guess it can be like a specific birthday or what not? The witches summon one on the 4th full moon of the year?
Idk Eris is making stuff up.

I mean that sounds good. It sounds magic-y. I have rehearsal now, but I'll write a starter after/during. Sorry to make you wait
Nah you know i dont mind.
Okay so I wrote the thing I just need to write the spells, which I’ll do when I have better service. Do you know any actions I could do at the very end of a spell?
(eris opens her book of shadows)
hmmmm. Wicca usually will use an athame to "slash" a symbol in the air after completing a spell or ritual. Usually one of protection to make sure that the spell goes according to plan. OR they will raise their arms palms cupping the moon in thanks to the triple goddess.
If the spell requires a force of will to be put into effect two fingers against the heart and swept outward in a curve towards the world will activate the spell. This can also be done with two hands.
(eris closes her book of shadows)
Up to you.
Thanks Eris!
And now, the weather. Mark, how are we looking today?
Okay cool thanks, let me just write it now
(Alright so I’m totally making this ritual up sooo yeah)
"In ius voco pro se ex luna ex animo. Coniunctis viribus semper fortis. Ex constabit quarto luna," Aster chanted the spells, reading from her book by the light of the full moon. "Concordia salus bona fide. Libra ingi ferroque bona fide." Her dark hair fell in two sheets on either side of her. She looked up at the moon and her eyes glinted, one green, and one hazel. "Qui vocat te conmilitium ex constabit quarto luna. Adsum." She blinked as she chanted and looked up, no longer needing to read from her spell book. A crackling sound and a dark whooshing started in front of her on the ground and she looked down, excitement lighting up her eyes. "Consummatum est." As she said the last few words of the spell, emerald, green, and gold sand started swirling about. She closed her book with a snap and picked up her small athame by its black handle. She slashed a symbol of protection and companionship in the air in front of her. A small, dark form materialized in front of her. “Hello,” Aster said with a grin.
While it was not uncommon to get summoned as a servant, it was uncommon to get summoned as a familiar after not stepping on Earth for over 500 years. So when Raziander felt the magics pulling at her, she was too surprised to refuse the summons.
Now she was blinking carefully up at the female witch, double tails flicking curiously. "Well, hello." she said mildly in slightly raspy voice. How long has it been since she spoke? Lifting a paw and flashing her iron fangs she asked. "Who summons the great Raziander?"
"It is I, The Great, The Beautiful, Aster Sicarius The Brave," Aster declared boldly, pushing her shoulders back and lifting her chin so she was sitting up straight. The exaggerated and grand way she spoke was almost . . . mocking. she slouched back down and looked down at Raziander. Her head cocked to the side. "So . . . you're like a cat?" she asked, her voice much less formal.
Razi looked at the human, her new master, completely dubious. Of course I would get stuck with a loose cannon. Thank you oh wise Universe. "I am a Cat Sith, Master." She flicked her tails so the girl could see them. "An offensive familiar. Ancient and wise, a protector…" She trailed off as not a single drop of recognition entered her master's eyes. "I–Did you summon me without knowing what creature you'd be bringing into this realm?"
"Well," Aster said, in a tone that indicated something outrageous had happened. "Ixora has been begging me for ages and ages to get a familiar, but I had never hit a sufficient point in my training to do so. Until last month. But of course, it was the third full moon of the year not the fourth. You know how that goes. Anyway, Ixora had given me a spell and she was rushing me so much to summon you I never had the chance to even find out what kinda creature I would be summoning. Crazy, right?" Aster said in a stream of thought. She smiled. "And then here we are!"
Razi's ears flicked downward, as her master told her story, making her horns seem bigger. She blinked once, slowly. Trying to gather herself. Not only a loose cannon, but a novice. What test are you giving me now, Universe? I'm so close to assuming my final form! Her tails flicked in annoyance at current events. Apparently she had a final lesson to learn before she could finally become a full fledged Sith. "I see." She sighed through her tiny nose.
She stood, stepping lightly forward until her paws were braced on the girl's chest and their faces were level. "Well. I am impressed, Master. You are a witch of power if you were able to summon a being such as me. But, unwise!" She booped Aster's nose with her paw. "You mustn't do spells without properly preparing for them or you could get hurt or summon something you did not want. Imagine if your summoning had gone wrong! You could have brought a demon naga, or even worse a phantomos into this realm. Honestly, Master." She shook her head, as if scolding a child.
Suddenly a thought occurred to her, nose twitching she sniffed around Aster's body, climbing all over her, sticking her head in the girl's pockets and up her shirt. "Where's my bonding treat?" Razi asked, voice muffled by cloth.
(ahdhdjsjfjakfhsjfk oh my god. She’s so fucking cute. I can’t)
Aster’s eyes widened and she pressed her lips together to keep from squeeling out loud. “I-“ She reaches into her bag beside her carefully, not wanting to disturb Raziander under her shirt. “I have this apple and this cheese,” she said breathily, pulling out a bright red apple and a small wheel of cheese, no bigger than her palm, wrapped in a cloth. “I wasn’t sure what else to bring,” she said in a voice that showed she wasn’t entirely focused on what she was saying. Her new familiar had booped her. On the nose.
(And neither can Aster apparently)
(yessssssssssssssssss first time writing a cat is a success!)
Razi poked her head out of the same shirt hole that Aster's came out of. She peered down at the apple and cheese. "The apple will suffice to complete the familiar bonding." She said after a moment of consideration. Razi liked apples enough. Climbing carefully out Aster's shirt, she perched on her master's shoulder, shifting her size just enough that she could fit comfortably there. She wrapped her tails gently around Aster's neck, as extra support, her soft fur making the grip seem softer. "We will both need to take a bite of a slice of the apple to seal the bond forever. That is… if I am sufficient, Master…" Razi trailed off suddenly feeling a bit self conscious. Aster had said nothing about what mission she was going to give Razi as a familiar. Protection? Guidance? Was she not happy with Raziander's form? Was she wanting something bigger and more…dragon like?
“It’s sufficient as long as you stop calling me Master,” Aster said, smiling at her. “My name is just Master without the M. Shouldn’t be too difficult.” She picked up the athame and started to slice the apple, figuring it was fine since the apple slices technically finished the ritual. She cut two pieces and held one out to Raziander. “Wait. Do you have opposable thumbs or do I give this to you?” she asked.
Razi leaned forward and took a tiny bit out of the apple slice. Her ears flicked down in pleasure and a deep purr vibrated her body. The apple was sweet and delicious. She could feel the magic beginning to twine around their souls, linking them together for as long as Aster lived. "I am still a cat, Aster." Razi said leaning forward for another bite. "If I were to have opposable thumbs I would have taken over this realm centuries ago."
"Oh." Aster took a bite of her own apple slice, biting it in half. "Well, that's a fun little tidbit. Woah," she said feeling the magic trickle through her. She closed her eyes for a moment, feeling glowy. She ate the last bit of her apple slice. "Magic always feels strange, but this feels different. Like . . . something new has entered me. Like this doesn't come from within me." She opened her eyes. "You know?"
Razi was busy learning Aster's scent, sticking her nose in her hair and then on the girl's cheek. "Oh. That's my magic. You'll be able to sense where I am at all times now. As well as when I'm in danger or when my magic is depleted." Razi rubbed the side of her face along Aster's cheek, checking to make sure that her own scent was mixed in with the girl's.
Satisfied with her work, she booped Aster's nose again. "All done! We are bound."
Aster's eye's glowed as she looked into Raziander's. If she was honest, she hadn't been entirely paying attention to what her familiar had been saying. "Can I boop your nose?" she whispered.
Razi blinked, completely thrown by the request. No one had ever dared to ask her such a question before. Not in all of her 1500 years as a familiar. "Um…yes?" She said hesitantly, ears twitching in confusion. She held still for her master, not entirely sure what "boop" meant.
Aster brought her hand up and carefully tapped Raziander's soft, pink nose. "Boop," she said quietly, as she did so, her voice high pitched. "Thank you," she said solemnly. "That is a very important ritual to me. With your consent, I would like it performed periodically." She tilted her head to the side. "Raziander . . . " she said suddenly. "Do you have a nickname perchance?"
What the hell kind of witch….? Razi's nose twitched after the touch, the only sign of her surprise. But she could not say that it was unpleasant, because it wasn't. It was highly amusing and felt wonderful. Razi scooted closer to Aster's face, gently kneading the girl's shoulder to show her happiness. "If my M–Aster, wishes so mote it be. I enjoyed this "booping"." She pressed the side of her tiny face into Aster's. "You may call me Razi, if you wish. Raziander was a name given to me when I guarded the home of the Pharaoh's over a thousand years ago, but I do not mind the shorter version."
(what the hell kind of witch indeed)
Aster smiled, trying to keep from beaming. She was trying her hardest to remain somewhat professional, but with all the nuzzling and Razi's facial expressions, it was becoming harder and harder not to squeal aloud. "Well, I'm glad you do not mind Razi. I would have called you Raziander if you had wished me to, but it is long. So you guarded the Pharoah's home?" she asked.
Razi dipped her head in a nod, giving Aster one final rub before leaping off her shoulder into the space before them. "Although," She said growing to the size of a large dog. "I looked more like this." She flicked her tails, grinning. "I had a flare for the dramatic when I was a kitten, but the Egyptians loved it." She sank back down to her normal size, licking a paw.
"Woah!" Aster's eyes widened. "You can shapeshift?" She looked up, her expression thoughtful. "Or size shape, I suppose." She looked back at Razi. "Unless you can shift your shape." A thought crossed her mind. "Were you the cat that the Pharaohs worshiped and stuff? How old are you anyway?" She clapped her hand over her mouth. "or is it rude of me to ask that?"
(This is so damn cute! Can I stalk!!!???)
Razi chuckled, whisker's trembling. "Size shift. Yes. I can be any size you need me to be. Shape shift? Well…not yet. Once I assume my final form, I'll be able to shift from a human form to a Cat Sith form, but I am a long ways off from that." She waved a paw as if in a vague gesture.
Strutting over to Aster's bag she batted it open before sticking her head inside, looking for more treats. Her voice could be heard from inside, although muffled. "No, I wasn't the Cat God that the Egyptians worshiped. I do not have that much arrogance to pretend to be Bast. Although," she paused as she dove into another pocket. "I have met her. Interesting…being."
Razi returned to Aster, looking a bit peeved at the lack of treats that her search provided. "I'm about four thousand years old." She said, showing off her little teeth in a smile. "Still a kitten!"
Aster raised her eyebrows. "What were you looking for?" she asked, picking up her bag and looked through it, making sure everything was still in its place. Her small medical kit, her to-go jars of herbs, her enchanted pocket knife, her spellbook, her three leather-bound journals, pencils, fountain pens, quills, ink, enchanted ink, duct tape, tarot cards, dried flowers, nail polish, silly string, chalk, and two glass bottles, one with an orange, shimmery liquid, and one with pink salt. "Wait. I'm only 19 years old. What does that make me?" she asked, her head almost buried in her bag. "A fetus?"
(This is so damn cute! Can I stalk!!!???)
(Yes, please do!)
(Eris eris eris look at the aesthetic board thingy I made for Aster in the gallery
