“It’s what I was thinking.” Gemma smiled and walked with Avi up to the desk.

Glancing at Gemma at the station next to hers. "Good afternoon," she told the man at the desk, looking over at him. "I have a reservation for Aviana Kuragin, please."

Aviana. Nice name. Gemma waited until Avi was done, then stepped forward and booked a room for herself. “Room, please. You can book it under Gemma.”

Tucking the key into her pocket, Avi turned to wait for Gemma. "What floor?" she asked curiously.

“Three. You?” She turned to Avi with a small smile.

She returned the smile. Gemma was real… sweet. "Five. See you around?" she told Gemma with a small bow.

Gemma laughed a little, starting to like Avi. “Yeah! I’m sure I’ll see you.”

Nodding, Avi walked to the elevator, hauling her TMNT suitcase behind her.

Gemma shut her hotel door behind her. She was sure it would be a long couple weeks.
