(So sorry for the delay!)

Name: Kari Simmons

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Personality:
Quiet and collected. She really loves assessing situations before actually carrying through her actions. She is tactical, cunning, and loves strategic thinking. Some think of her as a nerd, but the select few know her as a genius. She’s normally timid around people, and keeps her distance, but once you know her you will find she’s very sweet.

Appearances:
Kari has short hair down to the bottom of her shoulders, that’s always braided down on either side. Blonde streaks intertwine with the dark brown majority, and she’s always wearing round thin-rimmed glasses. She stands at about 5’7” and has a thinner build. Her skin is a light mocha and her eyes are grey.

Quirks:
Kari taps her fingers on the sides of her glasses and runs her finger around the rims when she’s thinking. She occasionally taps her foot to inaudible beats, but remains relatively still.

Likes:
Quiet places she can think. Forests. She really enjoys listening to other people and planning out made-up situations. She also really enjoys music.

Dislikes:
Loud places and rude people, mostly. However, not a lot bothers her. She doesn’t enjoy when people don’t believe her or have faith in her ideas. Overall, Kari really doesn’t care about much— she has barely any preferences with anything.

Nice! So this is going to be in a HighSchool environment of course. Ill start it in a sec. you can have your characters in any classes you want them to be in. I don’t care.

Elijah walked through the halls, waving to everyone he saw with a big cheeky smile. A few of his "mates" is what he calls them, ran up to him, one putting him in a tight headlock and ruffling his hair, which was already rather messy. The other punching him in the arm while the other one simply walked beside him quietly. "Hey, guys!" He says in his Australian accent which it was very obvious he had one. He tried to fix his hair once the one friend let go with a laugh. They said a few things about homework and what they were planning on doing after school.
The bell rang throughout the hallways and the four boys looked at each other and off they went into class.

(Sorry its short. I’m in a hurry)

Sorrel laughed, softly. He strolled through the hallways, meeting eyes with the occasional person. He didn't mind being a little late to class, art class was really lenient with times anyways. He yawned softly as his ears heard the bell's toll. "Oh well, late as usual. Our proctor shouldn't care too much though." He muttered. Hands behind his head, he finally made his way to his art class, which was on the other side of the school. He was totally carefree, he didn't mind anything in the world.

Kari’s ears perked as she heard the bell ring. Though, it was of no importance to her. She was already… approximately thirty feet from the school’s campus. Sure, that wasn’t that far, but hardly anyone ever bothered to look near the back of the school.
So she curled up by a tree, shuffling through pages of books and periodically staring up at the sky. A soft smile always held itself on her face, and her eyes showed a general calmness.
Some people may have thought she was clueless and forgot about class, while others just wouldn’t care. However, Kari knew exactly what she was missing, and she couldn’t care less. Calculus wasn’t as important to her as sitting outside in the beautiful sunny morning.

Nova pulled her jacket closer around herself and glared at a girl who stared at her too long. She was used to it, the stares and the noise and the whispers. Or, at least, that's what she liked to tell herself. She really wasn't, but admitting it to herself seemed like too much of a weakness.

She was pulled out of her thoughts by the sight of a familiar face. Her face broke into a rare smile, and she waved. "Hey, Kari!" She hurried to catch up with her friend.

Sorrel took his seat in the art class, the closest to the corner, and the farthest from the front. He pulled out his sketchpad, he brought it everywhere with him, regardless of if he was at school or not. He began to doodle his classmates as he saw them, writing little haikus of what he thought of them.

There was a drawing of a pigtail girl, a drawing of a bigger boy, and a drawing of a quiet boy as well, with matching little stories to go with them. He laughed at the drawings, sighing softly to himself. He loved observing the people, but overall hated it when people observed him.

Now out of all of the classes Elijah had to have first, it had to be Algebra. Man he sucked at math though! Like every other kid ever.
He ran his hands through his hair and tapped his foot gently on the floor as everyone talked around him.
“Hey Eli! Whaddya doin after school huh? I’ve got the new motorcycle we can try out!” a taller than all of his friends, bleach blonde kid that was too cocky for his own good leaned over to his desk with a mischievous smirk.
“But last one we completely destroyed!” He raised a blonde eyebrow, looking up at him with his bluish brown eyes. His other friend came over to him, very chill and most likely emo from the looks of it. “No. You’re not totalling another car and ruining a brand new motorcycle you idiots” he says sitting down beside him, pushing the blonde out of the way of his own desk before he did. “You guys do too many dangerous things #1 without me” he held up on finger “and #2 that could cost you tons of money. You already lost plenty.” He rolled his eyes.

Kari’s eyes dropped from the sky to Nova, who was now making her way over. Kari kept her position under the tree, her legs crossed over one another and propping up the book she held— something about quantum physics scrawled on the front.
She didn’t wave, didn’t move, just smiled softly as her eyes rested on her friend. Kari looked tired but content, her large grey eyes glazed with the monochromic lenses of her glasses.
“Hi,” she replied, her voice melodic and clear with a soft hue.

Sorrel looked up from the sketchpad, and noticed his art teacher getting closer to him. Internal panic filled his insides, from head to toe. The words written beside the pictures weren't friendly, he pretended not to have written them. "Sorrel, dear, why do you always get shy when I walk over here?" She asked. Sorrel shook his head, mumbling that it 'wasn't like that'. The teacher sat down beside him, and glanced over his art. It wasn't even half bad, it was pretty hot.

"You could be off doing something and making more money that I do in two years with this skill." She muttered. Sorrel's eyes shone, they did that when he was prideful. "I guess, but fame and money aren't for me, Mrs." He replied, hoping it wouldn't offend the teacher. She sighed, and got back up. "Students need to realize their full potentials." She said. Sorrel almost missed the last part, he didn't care, honestly.

Kari was a very odd person, but Nova didn't care. She was the one person at school that Nova actually liked and trusted. "What's up?" She asked, sitting herself down beside her friend. She absentmindedly fiddled with the fringes of her denim jacket, and stared up at the sky, watching as an airplane streaked across overhead, burning a trail in the sky.

Kari looked up from the paper in her book. It held various baffling equations that looked straight out of a science movie. Her eyes wandered to the girl beside her. She smiled sweetly, her eyes twinkling with fascination.
“Just reading about the nature of particles that make up all material matter and the forces in which they interact,” she mumbled proudly, her body language somewhat tired yet relaxed. “Not really much. I decided to take a break for the day and focus on a subject of less complexity.”
Kari twirled her pencil once, her eyes flitting up for just a second before she continued writing on the page.

@PrettyLittlePyro

"Less complexity?" Nova sputtered in amazement. "I don't even understand half the things you said! How is this interesting to you?" She knew her friend's freakishly smartness, and was often jealous of it, as Nova herself was a B student in most of her classes, and prefered drawing to reading or work.

@PaperHats business

“Well, not necessarily less complexity,” she said, her voice somewhat monotone. “I was just taking a break from the mechanic and physics of aerospace engineering.”
She looked up for a moment, her eyes meeting Nova’s from underneath her golden glasses.
“I like subjects that integrate my creativity,” Kari admitted. “Since quantum physics has many subjects unable to be explained, I can theoretically manifest my own conclusions.”
Kari’s eyebrow twitched as a new idea struck, drawing her pen back to the paper and scribbling out previous writing. She replaced it with equations that looked nearly identical, but she seemed generally satisfied.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Nova blinked in confusion. "Okay…" she shook her head with an amused chuckle, and pulled her sketchbook from her bag, opening to the page she had been working on for a while.

"Would anybody want to show us their art?" Asked that teacher. Sorrel just about raised his hand, before he decided not to show anyone the cruel words. The person beside him, however, was much more eager. "Me!" He cried. Sorrel looked towards the voice. Dashan. A purple and black haired weirdo that literally couldn't draw for the world. "Come up and show us what you've got!" The teacher exclaimed.

Dashan made his way to the front of the class and revealed an interesting drawing of himself. It looked perfectly shaded, yeah, but the proportions were off, majorly. The entire class laughed at it, but Sorrel didn't. "Why're you all laughing?" He asked them. Everyone got silent, then. "He's a great artist," Sorrel began his thoughts with a lie. "Yeah he's rough on the edges, but he's learning faster than any of you have." He said, strictly. He looked at Dashan, who beamed with pride.
