Graye ran a hand through his unruly, rust-colored hair. "Jack! I'm Home!"

Jack appeared out of the kitchen. “There’s sandwiches in here if you want one.” He said with a smile.

He slipped Jack a crooked smile, sauntering into the kitchen. "Thanks."

“Hey, by the way, I have a shift at work tonight. You’ll be here by yourself for a while. You good with that?” Jack asked, trying to keep worry out of his voice.

Graye laughed softly, ruffling Jack's hair. "Don't worry about me. I'm only 4 months behind you, you know!"

“But you haven’t been here alone for a while…” Jack trailed off.

He stood, wrapping his older brother in a warm hug. "I'll be okay."

Jack hugged his brother back, smiling in an effort to make sure Graye didn’t know just how scared he was.
(Also, do we want them to have parents? Or they could be orphans, and that’s why Jack has a job.)
