(Yasss)
Jan looks around, hearing a voice call out. “Oh my god there’s another person!” Jan jumps down from the tree and runs to the person. “Hi! I’m Jan! Nice to meet you! What’s your name?! Where are you from?! How’d you get here? I think I got here from picking up my desk. It was way to heavy. I’m from Poland! Where are we? Do you know? Do you have snacks?!” He rambled on and on, asking way too many questions and smiling like a goofball once he was done. He looked so innocent and excited.
(How old should they be?)
(I would say around 18? Canonically Milo's 20 but I toned him down to 18)
(Ok! Jan acts like he’s still 16 but he’s just innocent-)
Milo stopped. He was just trying to understand how this person got here. "Wait, Wait wait a second." Milo looked at the person, trying to prosses the information bit by bit. It doesn't look like he's been here long… He seems way to happy and up beat to know what years of quiet could do to a person
"Before I answer any of those questions, please. Tell me how you got here? What did you do? What did you pick up? Did you see someone?" Milo paused. I'm starting to sound like him… Calm down..
(Sorry it's a lil short. My cousin is home and I was talking to him while writing this)
(Don’t apologize! It’s all good!)
Jan pauses, then shrugs. “I was tryna pick up ma desk! It was heavier than I imagined and suddenly, I’m here! I think I’ve been here for about a month now.” He counts on his fingers. “Scratch that- two-“ he thinks for a moment. “And a half-“ he looks up, smiling that big, goofy grin. He acted like an absolute child. But…in a nice kind of way with a hint of chaos.
"No no." Milo's head was spinning. "Are you sure there wasn't a specific Item you had picked up? Other than your… Desk?" He wasn't going to question it. "And where did you end up when you… Teleported?" He wasn't sure what word to use. "When you got here?"
Milo started going through his bag, muttering to himself about something. "Ah," Milo said, taking out a small silver obelisk that had a top that could be detached. "Something like this, perhaps?"
Jan was about to say something, then gasps. “Hey! That was on my desk! Where’d you get that?!” He blinks in disbelief.
“That’s so weird!” He laughs. “I was like- poofed but still in my home! Like- it all went quiet, and I was like ‘WHOAAA!’” He laughs.
This wasn't news to Milo. Well, the fact that this person had also picked up the little silver obelisk (on a technicality), was interesting because it meant that a person didn't have to pick the actual obelisk up but that what ever it's sitting on also counts? That would be the logical understanding anyways. But what really hit Milo was There was another… thing. Like his. Did that mean that the people who were doing this, did this as a test of sorts?
So many questions were running through Milo's head at once. Milo looked down at the object in his hands and looked back at the person standing in front of him. "Do you… Have it with you?"
Milo thought that if this person had the item with them, it would maybe help? "And Maybe I'll answer some of your questions later."
Jan nodded excitedly and pulls it out of his pocket. “I picked it up when it fell off my desk! I don’t know how it got there- but I just thought my dad put it there.” He shrugs. “It’s cool though!”
He goes on to start comparing the two items, speaking in Polish.
Cool… is not the word Milo would describe it as. More Ominous, or something extra terrestrial perhaps. But there was one thing for certain. That they both ended up here for a reason. But Why would Milo have been teleported here years before if this person was… placed? here just a month ago? Was it just random? Or they picked him for a reason? More and more questions were filling Milo's head. He couldn't stop thinking about it.
"Alright, alright. Well, seeing how we are most likely the only ones out here… I would assume the the best thing would be to stick together? Also, I never caught your name. Mine is… Milo."
“Ohhhh Milo.” He repeats. “I like it! I’m Jan!” He outstretches a hand for Milo to shake, smiling brightly like an excited toddler.
“And yeah! We should definitely stick together! Oh! Now I gotta friend! Awesome!!” He laughs.
This… Is the right thing to do right? Why do I feel like this guy'll drive me insane in minutes Milo shook his head. "You are," Milo paused. "Something.." Milo reluctantly shook Jan's hand and Smiled back. "Well, Actually can I have your… obelisk?" For some reason that sounded weird to say.
Jan immediately nods at the question and hands the artifact to him. “Here ya go!” He smiles goofily and then looks around, getting distracted just by his surroundings. “Wow…it’s so nice here…quiet…calm…kinda wish there were some animals. I miss my cat.” He pouts.
Unbeknownst to Milo, he smirked at this up beat kid at heart named Jan. "That is… Well… One way of saying it. I cant really agree though. When your stuck here for years, it really starts to get in your head, you know? It's just a bit hard to deal with yourself sometimes." Milo shook his head. "But if I could go back, I'd do it. Even If the noise was worse, I'd take it over this hellish place."
Jan looks at him. “Hellish? It’s nice here! You get to explore, eat and drink anything you want! It looks like this stuff is being taken care of by someone or something! Back in Poland, shops were filled, cash registers. It was like…it was working how the real world works! But empty!”
He looks up at a tree. “Even phone service worked! Everything!”
Milo looked at Jan in confusion. The fact that everything worked didn't mean it would be useful. Even if you had a working cell, what would be the point of it? Why would someone need it really other than entertainment? Eventually you'd get tired of the videos and the games and just, do other things. That's what Milo did anyways. He had learned verious survival skills for being out for so long that he didn't really miss the technology much.
"If we're going to stick together, it'll be easier if we also had phones to keep track of each other. Ya know. If we get separated? Though its up to you. " Milo shrugged. "Anyways, lets head back to my place. The sun's setting soon. " He started walking the other way and signaled to Jan to follow.
( gonna head off for the night. Cya!)
(Gn!)
Jan smiles brightly and follows. “Yeah! I can give you my number!” He lists off his number, then hands Milo his phone while still rambling about something that sounded like him seeing more new videos day after day. “It was SO weird! Like- no one here! But I saw this one channel that’s just- always on my feed. Everywhere. This pitch black void-“
Interesting… Milo thought to himself. "Huh. I haven't really used my phone a lot ever since I found one. I didn't know anything really worked until… a year and a half ago? I was more concerned for the survival aspect of things." Milo shrugged. "And I'm sure that's nothing. We are in a 'pocket dimension' word. There's a lot of other weird things about this place that you'd think is weird for the normal world but… We're not in the normal world anymore."
Jan shrugs. “Yeah I guess you’re right. It’s just kinda weird though…there’s this…language I don’t understand. It’s plastered in places in red and in my feed…but everything else is normal.” He sighs and shrugs. “Oh well! I’m sure it’s nothing!” He smiles.
He then looks around, easily getting distracted by his surroundings once again.
Milo was spacing out while walking Jan to his 'home'. At least, Milo called it that. He hadn't traveled in a while, staying in the aria for quite a while. It didn't seem that anything interesting was out there. At least, nothing he hadn't seen. Some could argue that if they were in that situation, they'd scavenge for food, or other items needed. And in fact, they would be right. Milo had thought that too. He had made a guardian outside of his home, with lots of different vegetable's. Sure, he had other food but it kind of gets old when you have all junk food. He decided to go green for a while.
"There we are. Welcome to 'me casa'." Milo smirked to himself, "At least, that's what I like to call it." Milo pointed to a house that had a white fence with a black design on it. "That's usually where I stay. Not much, I guess."
Jan coos, looking around at his new surroundings. “Whoa! So cool! It looks so cozy.” He starts speed walking to the front door. “Wow…this is definitely not like my home.” He grips his backpack as he gently brushes his fingers over the walls, then turns back to Milo. “Come on! I wanna explore!”
He started bouncing up and down in excitement, smiling brightly. He seemed like a happy little puppy who was just given a treat. So innocent and pure. He then turns back and places his hand on the doorknob.
