“Thanks, Will!” Jack and Anna said st the same time, shooting each other annoyed glares. Will sat down at the table nodding for Rykah to sit next to him.
Rykah obliged, sitting down next to him.
“Oh, Hey, Will, by the way, I have a date later.” Anna said, informing Will of the fact.
Rykah's ears perked in interest.
“Cute guy?” Will asked.
Anna shook her head. “Cute girl. Riley Adams’ sister.”
Rykah leaned onto the table with more interest than before.
“Is Riley aware that you’re going on a date with their sister?” Jack asked.
“Yeah, she told them.”
Rykah's tail twitched, as he listened,
“Who’s Riley Adams?” Will asked.
“Do you remember Finn Adams?” Anna asked.
“It’s his little sibling.” Jack added.
Rykah kept listening, not sure if he should say or do anything as he sipped his not-so-hot-hot chocolate.
“Oh, yeah, I remember them. They were cute.” Will said, then looked over at Rykah. “Not as cute as you.” He said sheepishly.
Rykah went red at that, his wings poofing in embarrasment.
Jack and anna both ducked under the table in identical movements, laughing at their blushing brother, and his equally red boyfriend.
Rykah just went even redder, burying his face in his arms.
Will put his hand on Rykah’s shoulder. Jack and Anna, both slipped out of their seats and crawled away and up the stairs.
Rykah looked up at him, "Whyyy does this keep happening to me????" he asked softly.
“Because we’re 14 and everything we do is awkward.”
"Yes but whyyyy???" he asked, "Whyy around you??"
“Because we’re 14 and dating, which means everything we do is twice as awkward.”
"I love you but I hate it and love when this happens……" said Rykah burying his face again.
“I love you too.” Will said, ignoring the second part of the sentence.
"Love you the most" said Rykah not looking up this time.
“Not possible.” Will said quietly, smiling.
"just as possible as my existence" said Rykah.
