Rin hissed quietly in surprise as the tall male draped his coat over her shoulders. She stumbled, caught sight of a bench and plopped down on it. After a few minutes of staring at the ground, she decided to speak up. "Mmm…Who are you and what do you want?" She questioned softly looking over at him but not meeting his eyes. Instead, she stared at his chest so she didn't have to look up. He didn't speak. Tch, he must be ignoring me or he didn't hear me, ~nya~ She knew for sure he was a preternatural, she just didn't know what. She looked at his skin and hair. Pale and black. "Ahem, are you…are you perchance a vampire?"
Samule went stiff when she hissed at him. He looked her over, assesing if she was going to become a threat or not. As she stumbled towards a bench and plopped down, he realized that she would be in no condition to hurt him. He continued to study her as he did every person he came across. Samule was so deep in thought, that he almost missed her question. Unsure wether to answer or not, Samule stayed quiet. Samule didnt even move until she had asked her second question. Sitting down beside her on the bench, Samule looked upwards to the sky "That I am. My name is Samule" He then looked to her "And you are a cat. Correct?"
"Yes, I'm a cat. Or if you use my proper term, a Nekojin. My name is Rin." Rin looked up at the sky where he was looking, her eyes widened she never gave herself enough time at night to look at the stars,, they were so beautiful, "Woahhh…." She whispered, to see more stars she leaned back and almost fell, she slammed her hand on the bench and steadied herself. She put her hand to her chest, her heart was beating very fast. She sighed, That was embarrassing. I hope he didn't notice. Even if he did would he laugh? He seemed a little cold and boring like he didn't know what happiness was. Rin gave him a side look, she had so many questions,, but damn she was much too nervous to ask. Why is he here? What does he want? Why did he follow me? What do his eyes look like? So many questions…
Samule glanced at her just in time to see her bounce her head off the bench, a little puff of air came from his nose…a laugh…kind of. "The stars are much more impressive on a calm sea. The open water acts like a mirror, giving you the feeling as though you are sailing through the sky." It was one of the few reasons he became a naval officer. That and having an excuse to beat the snot out of Ramule for being an idiot. Samule was dragged from his thoughts from the sound of her heart beating and the blood rushing through her veins. Another sharp pain from his stomach. He could tell that soon his eyes would practically be glowing, he needed food…fast. Studying the way she squirmed, he knew she was scared, and probably wanting answers. Still not looking at her, he kept his voice just barely above a whisper, "i cannot afford people becoming suspicious while im here. So if you were to accidentally show yourself, it would pose a problem for me. Ill walk you home to ensure your safety. I wont feed from you. I promise." He finally looked to her as he said those last words.
Rin looked at him. His eyes were brilliant, yet scary. With her excellent hearing, Rin heard Samule's stomach rumble, she kept herself from smirking. "To ensure my safety, huh?" Rin narrowed her eyes, "I'm fine by myself, but I mean if you insist…" She stopped talking and thought about what she knew about vampires. They drank blood, they're scary, they're feared. "Do you eat anything besides blood? I have plenty of food and sorts at my house if you're hungry. I mean you are hungry I can hear it." Her nose twitched, his smell was unsettling it smelled like blood and death. She stood up trying her best not to wobble and handed the coat back to Samule. "Well if you're going to escort me to my house, we'd best be going." Rin felt sober and groggy; Sleeeeeeeeeep, Her mind moaned sleepily.
The corner of his mouth twitched, threatening to form into a smirk. "Dont worry, i dont take from other beings. You're safe with me." If it wasnt for her scent, Samule would have thought she was just an ordinary woman. Deep down, he envied her for that. Looking away towards nothing in particular, he once again lost himself in his thoughts. Samule was somewhat startled when Rin had asked him if he wanted something to eat, "I apologize for my stomach. While we can eat regular food, it does nothing for us nutritionally. But i do appreciate the offer." Samule was ready to catch her when he noticed her struggle to stand. He couldnt possibly make her walk, vampire or not, hes still a gentleman. So Samule stood, towering over Rin and took the coat from her and placed it over her shoulders once again. He then turned his back to her and kneeled down, offering to carry her. "It will be quicker if i were to carry you. Hop on."
Rin looked surprised as Samule placed the coat back on her. She was even more surprised when he kneeled down and offered to carry her. At first, she stepped back, but her mind and legs fought back and she graciously accepted. Once well rested in his arms, she felt a little awkward. Eep, She thought, I've never been in a male's arms before. This must be so awkward for him to carry me… He had quite strong arms. She blushed and buried her face in her hands. Oh this is so embarrassing. After a few minutes as he carried her, Rin's eyes drooped. She yawned, and her eyes closed. His name is Samule and he's a vampire. He's strong and quite handsome. But what is he doing here? Is there something he came to find?
Samule carried her in silence, unsure of what to say. Although, her body heat was quite nice compared to the cool breeze coming from the water. He was surprised at how little she weighed, yet there was enough pressue to make him nervous. Samule wasnt used to being this close to a woman unless it was for food. Samule forced his mind to stay on track. Using her smell as a guide, it had faded too much for him to follow. Turning his head to look at her, Samule spoke softly "Where do you live?"
As Samule spoke to Rin she opened her eyes, "I live half a block that way, the house on the left of the Blacksmiths Shop." As he walked, she started looking at the stars again. There must be hundred upon thousands up there, much too many to count. Her stomach slightly growled, It seems that I'm hungry as well, not for blood, of course, She thought, and let out a small laugh. Rin let her eyes close again and she fell into sleeping. Why, he must come from a different land! I wonder how different it is! Or maybe he's a pirate! Rin thought.
Samule nodded slightly before heading in the direction of her house. 'left of the Blacksmith's. Hm. I'll have to stop there tomorrow and find a new sword.' he made a mental shopping list in order to keep his thoughts at bay. Walking in silence, it was a quick walk to her house. Walking up to her front door, Samule tried moving her to wake her up. Speaking softly, he turned his head to her "We are here, are you awake?"
