Ophelia inhales sharply as she realizes just how much Kaiad is holding back. What she wouldn’t give for them to have the freedom to do whatever they want to right now. Instead, they have to behave turns over and wait until later. The thought of waiting is painful but they don’t have a choice.
“I look forward to it,” She murmurs, excited for them to be able to spend the night together. Hopefully they’ll actually be able to wake up in each other’s arms this time. While she understands why he was gone, she missed walk f ip and having him in bed with her.
She instantly parts her lips when he puts his teeth into play. Feeling the growing bulge in his pants pressing up against her, she moans softly. She doesn’t resists the urge to wiggle her hips teasingly up against his.
Kaillas found pain and pleasure in waiting. It helped build the suspense. It had them practically panting for one another later. But then it left him with an issue all day and sexual frustration that was making no attempt at going away. But he always made up for it in the end.
He had every plan to spend the whole night with her. Naked and in his arms. He just wanted to fall asleep to her soft skin on his. He didn't want anything in between them such as clothing. He needed to be with her. He needed to feel her. And he'd be damned if anything kept him from her.
He growled softly as her hips wiggled. She was not making this easy but then again, when did she ever make it easy? He tightened his hold on her, gripping her hair firmer and pulling it back again. He wanted to take her right then and there but he knew better. Barely.
Ophelia can’t wait for tonight. They have a lot of missed time to make up for and she wants to spend all night in his arms. It’s been far too long since they’ve been able to do that. Their first night back together was interrupted. While she’s not mad about the reason, it was still deeply disappointing.
If they weren’t in such a public and open place right now she would be begging for more. Their chances of being caught are high and she doesn’t want to risk creating a giant scandal. The ladies of the court would be brutal if they found out about this.
The growl has her feeling very pleased with herself. If given the opportunity to tease him and torture him, she’s going to take it. She has no choice but to tip her head back when his grip on her hair tightens. She inhales sharply before retaliating and dragging her nails slowly and roughly down his shoulders.
Kaillas had a wicked gleam in his eyes. Oh, he was going to torture her later. Payback for all this teasing he was doing to her. He kept score of every little thing and would pay it back tenfold. He was going to have her begging for him later.
He nipped her on the side of her neck, leaving a small red mark that would fade later that afternoon. Then ge stepped back from her, helped her smooth her skirts and hop off the table. "I think my sisters have wanted ling enough for us for lunch."
He winked her, despite having an obvious problem with his pants. He held out his hand for her to take to guide her back inside. "Later my darling," he murmured as he pulled her in close. "I think we've terrorized the gardeners enough for today."
Ophelia shivers as she notices that look in his eyes. She has no doubt that he’s going to torture her later. It’s something that she’s already looking forward to. While all of her trading is fun and seems like a good idea in the moment, she knows that she’ll have he’ll to pay when it’s time for them to be alone.
Her hand instantly moves to touch the red mark he’s just left on her neck. Though part of her wishes that it’ll stay, the more logical part of her is desperately hoping that it’ll be quick to fade. It’ll be highly embarrassing if anyone notices since then they’ll know exactly what she’s been up to.
With a playful pout on her face, she carefully hops off of the table and takes his hand. “The poor gardeners won’t be able to look us in the eyes anymore,” She says with a light laugh. “You are quite right about us needing to get going. Lunch will be served any minute and I would hate to be late.” She keeps up with the calm and innocent act, pretending that they weren’t just toeing the line.
Kaillas looked at the mark on her neck with a purely satisfied gleam. His eyes held a promise that tonight I'll make more. He'd give her as many as she would accept. Anywhere she woukd take them as well. He'd mark up her neck if she'd let him. To hell with the court and their gossip. He should be allowed to love his wife despite their status.
He grinned at her. "I think I should give them a hazard pay anytime we're out here." Because he was very much fantasizing taking her out into the maze. His eyes darkened at such thoughts. They needed a pay raise indeed for having to put up with him.
"I don't mind being late but u think my stomach would disagree." As if on que, his stomach growled a little too loud. Something he and Katya had in common it seemed. "And I know Katya and Elora are waiting for us. We'll eat lunch in our wing again but dinner will be with the rest of the court."
Ophelia is looking forward to him marking her up. She’s almost willing to let him do it in obvious places since the court can suck it. Her only hold back is his sisters. It would be a little embarrassing if they saw the marks. Especially since it’s obvious the girls have no problem teasing her about such things.
“You probably should,” She agrees with a laugh. “Honestly, most of the staff should probably get hazard pay.” They’re getting a little more bold about what they’re willing to do and where they’re willing to do it. She knows that they traumatized the staff at the honeymoon house. She would rather not traumatize the staff here.
She smiles a bit when his stomach growls right on cue. “Well, we better get you fed then. Wouldn’t want your poor stomach to suffer,” She teases lightly. What sucks is dinner with the court tonight. That won’t be very pleasant.
Kaillas wasn't arguing with that. They probably scarred the entire staff at their vacation home. Though they probably deserved it. And the next time he went there he was taking his personal staff with him. He wasn't bothering with any of them again.
With a smile, he pulled Ophelia to his side and tucked her under his arm. He kissed the top of her head before guiding her back inside. The guards were standing post as if they hadn't seen anything and the staff fluttered around them going about their daily chores.
Katya and Elora were already waiting for then in their private dinning room, grinning to one another as though they knew exactly what the couple had been up to. It was only then that Kaillas released his wife to kiss each of his sisters on the head before pulling out a chair for Ophelia.
Leaning into his side, Ophelia walks alongside him as they head back into the palace. She doesn’t even glance at the guards. While she knows that they’ll pretend to be oblivious, she doesn’t want to make eye contact. It’s a bit embarrassing after all. At least they’re more discreet about what they know than the beach house staff.
She enters the dinningroom, her face flushing a little as she notices the cheeky grins on Katya and Elora’s faces. For a moment she’s convinced that those girls are going to be the death of her. She knows that they aren’t oblivious but it’s strange knowing that those two are fully aware of what she and Kaillas were just doing.
She thanks her husband as she takes her seat, smoothing out her dress. At least this meal is going to be casual and calm. She isn’t looking forward to dealing with the court. A few members certainly aren’t fond of her.
Lunch passed by as a lot more light hearted and uplifting than dinner gad the night before. Kaillas had sat next to his wife, holding her hand and touching her knee or thigh any chance that he got. Katya was still a little more reserved than normal but she seemed to be doing a bit better. Her talk with Ophelia had helped some.
As lunch came to an end, Kaillas helped his youngest sister out of her chair and told her to get dressed for gardening. Because that's how they were going to spend their afternoon together. They were going to talk and garden and hang out with one another. And after dinner, he was all Ophelia's.
He gave a kiss on his wife's head before disappearing through the door with Katya. Keating Elora and Ophelia alone with one another. The former gave the latter a smile. "I did tell you sex is pleasurable. You should've listened to me in the first place."
Lunch goes by smoothly. The conversation is pleasant and everyone seems to be in a better mood. She is greatly relieved to see that her conversation with Katya had made a positive impact, even if it was just a small step forward. She hopes that spending some time with Kaillas later will help her even more.
She looks over to Kaillas and Katya when they get up. It seems like it's time for those two to have their talk. Hopefully it'll go well. Things have been so tense lately with all that has happened. "Have fun," She says lightly, smiling at the kiss before she watches the two leave the dinning room. Though she's glad that the brother and sister duo get to spend time together, she can't wait for tonight to have him to herself.
Turning her attention to Elora, she offers a smile, glad that they can spend some time together. Her face instantly turns bright red at the teasing commentary. "Jumping right to that, huh?" She asks with a light laugh. To be fair, Elora was right about it but she apparently just needed to find out for herself.
(Sorry, I've been busy with work!!)
Elora chuckled to herself as she watched her newest sister turn red. She only gave her a knowing smile at her words. She had been right of course. She was hardly ever wrong. But sometimes people needed to figure these things out for themselves. And Ophelia was one of those people.
Her eyes shifted behind her briefly as the guard stood watch. And giving her a heated gaze when no one else was looking. She suppressed her smile and turned her focus back to Ophelia. "Well, it looks like we have the rest of the afternoon to ourselves. What shall we do sister?" Most of her own ideas would place them right back in the woods on horseback or even perhaps the archery range to practice her aim.
It would be nice to spend some time with Ophelia. They had only gotten so much time in those three weeks as she had been called away for matters of the state. And the few moments they had gotten were interrupted.
(No need to apologize! I get it!)
Ophelia blushes even more as Elora chuckles and gives her a knowing smile. While her sister-in-law had certainly been right, she’s a little too awkward and embarrassed to discuss this further. Some girl talk would be nice but this is Elora’s brother that they would be talking about so she’s not going to continue this conversation.
Her attention shifts to the guard for a moment, catching the heated gaze he directs at Elora. She wonders if there was something between them, but she doesn’t want to pry or make things awkward. Instead, she refocused on Elora, figuring that if she wants to tell her about the guard, she will.
Hearing Elora call her ‘sister’, she can’t help but smile a little. “Why don’t we go for a ride?” She hasn’t been able to spend as much time with Cheesecake as she’d like and this is the perfect opportunity. And it’ll give them a chance to talk. They haven’t been able to spend much time together lately due to have crazy things have been.
Elora felt strongly for her guard. Perhaps it was infatuation, as they had only come to act upon their feeling recently. They had dome nothing more than heavy kissing and a few wondering hands. Nothing to "soil" the princess. She hated that. She hated she was based on her vulture and yet a man could do anything he wanted and would be praised for it.
She grinned at Ophelia. "I like the sound of that. But unless you want to ride in your dress, might I suggest we change and meet at the stables." She was going ti take longer to get ready than Ophelia would. One look at her guard and she knew she would very preoccupied.
She stood up from her seat and walked around the table. "I'll meet you in say, fifteen minutes?" And she would likely take an extra five minutes being preoccupied elsewhere.
Ophelia laughs lightly at the thought of attempting to ride in this dress. “I do believe a wardrobe change is in order,” She agrees as she stands up. It won’t take her long to switch into her riding clothes so their trip won’t be very delayed.
“Fifteen minutes works.” They both know it won’t take fifteen minutes to get ready but she isn’t going to call Elora out. Something tells her that the prolonged time has something to do with that guard and the longing glances. She’s more than happy to stay in her room for a few extra minutes to give Elora and her ‘friend’ a moment alone.
She stands up with a hum. “I’ll meet you in the hallway in fifteen minutes then.” There’s no hiding the amused smile she has on her face as she walks out of the dinning room and heads towards her bedroom to get ready.
(I don't remember if I named my guard and I can't find it so I'm naming him something else haha)
Elora lingered in the room until Ophelia and her guards had exited the room. Leaving just her and her guard. Aedion waited a moment, listening for anyone that might be approaching then strode over to Elora. His arms wrapped around her and their brows touched. A silent question lingered in the air, are you alright? No, she was not alright. She likely wouldn't be for a long while. His arms tightened around her and she knew it would be alright.
They parted and began the path to her bedroom. She changed into her riding clothes. Her previous ones were already down to the wash. Just as she was lacing up her boots, the door opened again. Aedion slinked back in, leaving the door ajar. Just in case. But most of the guards were around the queen's door. Not focused on her own. Not yet that was.
Five minutes passed time, she and her guard and finally slipped out of her door and walked down the hall to meet with Ophelia. Her hair was a little bit of a mess. The reason for it was walking behind her.
(I don’t think he ever had a name lol But congrats to him for finally earning one haha)
Ophelia enters the bedroom and heads over to the wardrobe. She sorts through a few things before finding her favorite riding outfit. She grabs a pair of fitted riding pants, crafted from flexible and breathable material. As she pulls them up, they mold to her body, allowing for ease of movement.
With her pants on, she reaches for a lightweight, long-sleeved riding shirt. Its pastel hue is just right for the sunny day. As she puts it on, the fabric feels soft and gentle against her skin, ready to shield her from the sun's rays. She leaves the collar open for extra comfort and rolls up the sleeves to just below her elbows. She then tugs on her boots and gets them laced up.
Ready to go, she exits her room and steps into the hallway. She spots Elora and offers a smile. The messy hair paired with her guard following after her tells her everything she needs to know. Though there’s a look of great amusement on her face, she doesn’t comment on it. Not yet.
Elora wore tight, deep brown riding trousers. They were made of stretchy material and allowed her to bend and move just fine. And we're perfect for riding. It also gave her guard something to look at while walking behind her. Her shirt was an almost beige color and cuffed at her wrist, giving her billowy sleeves. Her hair was pulled back into a braid, with a few pieces pulled out and a little frizzier than it should be for having just braided it.
She gave Ophelia a look that said don't say a word. "Are you ready?" She was itching to get back on her horse even if she had just gotten off of it a couple hours prior. She belonged put of the palace. Somewhere she coukd do something. She and Katya were a lot alike in that regard. And also so different.
"So, should Katya and I find another other wing to reside in the palace?" Kaillas would never allow that bit it was still fun to tease. "That way you and Kaillas can do as you please. And we don't have to listen."

Ophelia’s grin widens as she sees the look on Elora’s face. She won’t say a single word but the expression on her face says it all. Clearly she thinks the situation is hilarious. The infatuation between her sister-in-law and the guard is adorable. It’s good for Elora to experience a relationship. She won’t breathe a word about it.
“I’m ready,” She confirms, leading the way down the hall and out of the palace. She can’t wait to see Cheesecake and go for a ride. It’s been weeks since she’s been able to get out to the stable. Her husband’s absence meant she had to take on a lot of new responsibilities. She just didn’t have time to have any free time.
“Oh hush!” She laughs and shakes her head. “You know very well that you don’t hear a peep from our room.” The conversation is a little flustering but she’s starting to get used to the teasing and crude jokes. It’s actually pretty fun.
Elora made a face at her. She had full confidence that Ophelia wouldn't say anything. But she could feel all the teases that were coming her way. It wasn't if she wanted to hide it from Kaillas. But she knew him and knew how he would react. She didn't want to lose Aedion as a guard. Their relationship didn't affect his ability to guard her. In fact, it likely made him even more vigilant.
She hadn't pushed her stallion hard this morning but even so, she would opt for her mare instead. Abraxas deserved a good break after riding for hours. And it had been a minute since she had ridden Luna. In all fairness, it was because she had a baby recently but that was besides the point. Her two horses were mates. They were together any chance they got.
It was her turn to grin. "Maybe not but we all know what you were doing. And perhaps we should move just so you can be louder."
Ophelia would love to think that Kaillas would be fully supportive of this relationship and not take Aedion’s position as Elora’s guard away. However, she knows how he thinks. She fully respects the decision to keep the relationship a secret for now. If things become too serious then Kaillas will have to know but it seems like right now the two are just having some fun.
Approaching the stables, she lights up as she spots Cheesecake’s giant head sticking out of his stall. “There’s my sweet boy!” She exclaims, going over and pressing a kiss to his muzzle. Although she had good reason for not coming no to visit him as often as she’d like, she still feels terribly about it.
“You have no proof of that,” She points out with a joking laugh. “Besides, we aren’t animals. We know how to control ourselves.” Barely. Not even a few hours ago they were pushing their luck in the garden. Her cheeks warm a bit at the thought.
What Elora felt for her guard was more than an infatuation. They hadn't spoken much on their feelings for each other. They mostly just talked. About anything and everything, except themselves it seemed. And they spent a lot of their time not talking. She would like for nothing more than to further their relationship together but even she understood the difficulties in that. Their different statuses for one.
She grinned as she saw Ophelua run to her stallion. That strange breed she had chosen as her own. But who was she to question. When you loved, you loved. And it was obvious the queen adored her horse.
She walked to her own, the stable hand finished saddling her for Elora. She thanked him, letting Luna's mane before putting her foot in the stirrup and mounting her. She gripped the reigns, waiting patiently for Ophelia to do the same. Aedion was already on his horse, along with the Queen's guards. They would trail behind them.
"Mhm," she said with a grin. "You do know there are windows that look out on the garden right? And that Katya and myself passed by said windows." And half the staff though she didn't add that.
Ophelia spends a minute just doting on her stallion, wanting a chance to give him some proper attention. Goodness, she has missed him. The stallion is like a giant sweet puppy. She adores his big personality. Thankfully, he’s already saddled up and ready to go so they don’t have to waste much time just standing around.
After giving him one final kiss, she climbs up onto the saddle, officially ready to go. Though she understands why the guards have to accompany them, she does wish that they could have some proper time to themselves. It’s hard to actually relax when there are already extra people around, watching and sometimes listening.
She nearly dies from embarrassment when Elora calls her out for the whole garden situation. “I can’t even come up with a defense for that,” She admits with a weak laugh. They may have gotten a little out of hand in the garden but she didn’t think it was that bad. They didn’t actually do anything.
Elora guided her mare up to Cheesecake's side. She smiled at her, nodding her head. She was ready as well. With a squeeze, Luna was walking out of the stables and towards the trail into the forest. She would take a different route than she had this morning.
She laughed quietly at Ophelia. "At least go in the maze next time. You can't really see anything inside it from the palace. Everyone knows that's the spot for a hook up." She did not explain how she knew that. She had caught more than couple of them, her brother being most of those times. And she had taken advantage of the maze herself a few times.
"I assume you're happy?" She asked her. She looked happy. But even that could be faked. "You should take a tonic as well if you want to avoid being with child for the time being. It's relatively safe." All things came with warnings and side affects. But overall it had a very little chance of those side affects happening.
