(Ah thanks! How should we start?)
(I can just continue off from what we were on if that’s okay)
Tyler’s face fell, gazing in disbelief as Eli walked up the stairs. After a minute, the house fell silent except for the sound of his breathing. He sank down onto the couch, resting his head in his hands and feeling hot tears streaming down his face. He debated calling Xio, or maybe calling her. It was late though, she was probably busy.
(Sorry had some homework. Also, yes that’s fine.)
Xiomara stared at her father's coffee cup and sighed gently. “I wish you could meet him now.” She pouted, glancing up at him. “Oh! I never said goodnight!” She gasped, pulling her phone from her pocket and opening up his contact. She blushed lightly, feeling her father’s gaze on her as she sent her boyfriend a loving text:
‘Have a good night Tyler, I love you ~ <3 Call me if you need anything alright? I’m always here for you.’
“I have all week off. You and I can go out for ice cream and you can bring him along.” He smiled and Xio blushed more.
“Dad. As much as I love you, you’re crazy.” She teased, giggling with him. “You’ll drive him off.”
(Me too, it’s okay :)
Tyler glanced down at her text, opening it and trying to think of how to reply. He didn’t want to worry her even more than he already had that day. After a couple minutes, everything became blurry, his eyes started to fall shut. He fell back into the couch and his phone slid off onto the floor, still open on her text.
Xiomara spoke for another few hours with her father. The two discussed school and work, friends and love interests, and all the sort of thing you'd expect old friends to discuss. They were very close to each other despite the distance between talking. The father and daughter had gone through a lot together.
When she finally said goodnight to her father and retired to her room, Xio was a little troubled. Tyler hadn't answered her text, she wondered if he was asleep. "That's probably what happened, huh Milo?" She asked the small cat as she changed, sighing gently. A few minutes later, she was drifting off to sleep.
Tyler woke up in his bed, his head aching at the sound of his alarm going off right next to his ear. He sighed and stretched, reaching to turn it off and sitting up. He was usually the first one up on weekdays so the house was quiet as he left his room for the bathroom to take a shower. The house slowly began to come to life as his Mom got up, then sister, then Dani and Eli.
Xiomara always woke up with the help of a hungry Milo. Today was no exception as the cat meowed loudly in her ear. She groaned, slowly sitting up and blinking at the kitty. “You’re so noisy.” She complained, stretching herself out.
She completed her daily routine of a morning shower, brushing her teeth, and picking out the outfit she wanted for the day. She bounced down the stairs, grinning when she saw her father in the kitchen.
Tyler was pretty much ready by the time the other members of his family were awake. He ate a small breakfast and made lunch for Eli with the time he had before he had to leave. Eli was avoiding him, he could tell. It didn’t matter much though, they would both get over it eventually. He knew that wasn’t a good way to resolve things, but it just worked like that between them.
A couple minutes later, Tyler gathered his things and headed to school after a quick goodbye to his moms and sister.
The only decent thing about today was being able to see Xio. He waited on the front steps with some of the other people on the soccer team, spacing out from time to time and almost dozing off.
Xiomara ate a quick breakfast and wished her father goodbye. She smiled happily as she bolted out the door and down the street, laughing softly. She would get to see Tyler today. She was excited for that.
It took her only a few minutes to reach school, out of breath, but smiling nonetheless as she spotted Tyler on the front steps. "Hi Tyler!" She called out, giggling as she nearly threw herself at him, hugging him tightly.
Tyler smiled, wrapping his arms around her and laughing softly. “Did you run all the way here?” He asked gently, leaning away back into the steps and kissing her happily.
She laughed softly and nodded, her cheeks flushed from the exercise. "Yes I did! I was excited to see you, Tyler." She kissed him back enthusiastically, wrapping her arms around his neck.
(Shit sorry I didn’t see this!!)
“I’m glad I make you so happy then.” He said, pulling away slightly and sitting down with her in his lap. “Good thing we both got here a little early so I can spend more time with you before school.” He kissed her cheek and snuggled her close against his chest.
(You’re Okay. I had a bit of a rough start to this week. I took a smallish break.)
Xiomara hummed softly and leaned up to kiss his cheek gently. “Isn’t it good?! We can talk for a little longer.” She hummed, leaning towards him with a small smile.
(👍👍)
“Yeah.” He murmured, pulling her close against her and resting his head on her shoulder. “I love you..”
Xiomara leaned her head against his and smiled brightly. “I love you more, Tyler.” She purred, wrapping her arms around his chest and giving him a little squeeze.
“I don’t think so.” He murmured into her neck, pulling away and kissing her nose and cheek. “How was your night?”
She giggled softly, nuzzling into his cheek and smiling. “I slept well. My dad is home for the week, I’m so glad he’s taking a break.”
“Oh that’s nice. Can I meet him?” Tyler asked, squeezing her hand and bumping his shoulder against hers playfully.
“Of course!” She grinned and kissed his nose, bumping him back. “You should come over! He’d love you!”
“Well, I don’t know if you remember or not, but we have a date tomorrow.” He grinned, feeling the happiest right now then he been in days. “Maybe I can meet him afterwards?”
“Ah! That’s right!” She giggled happily and wrapped her arms tighter around him. “I can’t wait, Tyler!”
“Me neither.” Tyler grinned, helping her up as he heard the first bell ring. “What do you have first?” He asked, keeping her close in his arms.
Xiomara groaned at the sound of the bell but allowed him to help her up. “Biology.” She noted, kissing his jaw with a smile.
