Hey am back, is Orion again here to just post one RP concept this time instead of my usual 87 that I never follow up with. Content warnings apply as follows:

Graverobbing, as in, SO MUCH graverobbing.
Death
Animal and human abuse
Medical abuse
Gore and body horror
Period-standard terms for queer and marginalized groups that don't accurately reflect modern standards of thought (for example, terms like "hermaphrodite", "gypsies", "sodomite" might be used SPARINGLY to refer to certain groups and our characters are by far not free from bigotry, especially given that the main cast of this story is broadly Very White so uhhh be nice IRL but expect some negative views to shade through on the part of the characters that will be seen as flaws to work through.)
Miscarriages
Period-standard bigotry and especially sexism
Transphobia
Homophobia
Technically incestuous relationships (basically Elizabeth is Victor Frankenstein's adopted sister/cousin in the original novel but also his betrothed, they are Not Into This Arrangement for the purposes of this RP however.)
Medical gaslighting
Reanimating the dead in like, the worst ways possible.
Alcoholism
General substance abuse
Immortality
Mortality
Potential adult content that will, as per, either be implied, skipped over, or very occasionally taken to DM.
And finally, allusions to sexual violence especially against women as period-standard (nothing like, directly onscreen though don't worry)

This is by no means an exhaustive list so PLEASE tell me your triggers ahead of time so I can leave those out of the story if I can or warn you if I can't.

A somewhat more graphic and slightly ragingly queer retelling of Frankenstein, or, the Modern Prometheus, as well as the broader Sherlock Holmes mythos as told from the perspective of Elizabeth "Liza" Lavenza and the Great Detective himself and his loyal companion, John Watson.

Liza was always a strange girl. People never ceased to praise her beauty, but on the rare occasions she actually appreciated her status as a woman in a man's world, they would shame and taunt her. She was brilliant, studious, compassionate, and most importantly very scientifically inclined. But none of those things were nurtured in a way that would bring up anything good.

When the sudden death of her adoptive brother William Frankenstein strikes Elizabeth's home, she is mortified to learn that her best friend, Justine Moritz, is the prime suspect. And after several months of trial and investigation determining no specific outcome, Justine is executed.

But Liza knows it can't be true. This is where Sherlock Holmes comes in. She writes to his partner in solving crimes, John Watson, begging for post-mortem justice for her brother and friend. It doesn't take much coaxing for such an odd case to get Holmes's attention. And this is where our story actually begins.

So basically, Elizabeth is going to team up with Sherlock Holmes and John Watson to kinda save the day, or arguably make it worse. I was hoping that I could play either Holmes or Watson at least, possibly I'd play Elizabeth if it came down to it. But I'm terrible at mysteries outright so this is mostly just gonna be a bit of slasher horror.

Things to note about my interpretation of these characters:

Elizabeth is a chemist in this, self taught from her brother/cousin/technically betrothed but neither of them wants it/Victor's studies and schoolwork. She is a bit of a Dr Jekyll character, seems like a sweet person on the outside but deep down has a lot of darkness to her. She is aromantic asexual and her brother she is aware, is a closeted gay man so they're basically only getting married to appear "decent" to society not because of like. Actual romance reasons given that Incest Bad and honestly I think Elizabeth deserves better and also to be a witch of the woods who curses assholes with The Powers That Be.

Sherlock is a stealth, closeted intersex (technically the period accurate term is "hermaphrodite" but most people dislike the term for very good reasons, oh well and I'm sorry in advance), trans man, he was raised as a woman for the better part of his childhood and teen years until he ran away, who literally would be ruined for his entire life and he career he's built if found out so I just wanna note that it would be unrealistic for anyone but Watson to know for reasons I'll divulge below. Holmes is a mild drug addict, claims to use substances like opium for focus but actually he's just bored and autistic and sensory seeking.

Annnnnd as for Watson, he's basically a closeted bisexual man who is by and large very accepting of Sherlock's whole deal, he found out on accident after Sherlock was injured on one of their cases and so he's pretty well suited to caring for the detective. Watson is a doctor and a military doctor at that, engaged to Mary Morstan (minor character) who he deeply cares for in a vaguely queerplatonic way where like. He is in painfully unsubtle romantic love with Sherlock, but Mary is his soul companion and the person he wants to settle down with once Sherlock and himself retire. John is also disabled, he uses a cane to get around and has severe PTSD from his time working in the British military to the point where he's afraid to go out without either of his partners around on his worst days, and on good days is generally a little toooooo hyoervigilant.

Anyways, I just need one person to play one character and another to play another. Have funnnnnn there will likely be very little romance in this besides the obviously stated pairings and Im like 97% sure there will be literally just. Zero explicit smut as such content is plot irrelevant and able to be skipped over Very Easily Okay So Pls Be Normal

Have funnnnnn!!!
