Met looked up at her and nodded, taking his hand off of her cheek and nudging her. "Your mom doesn't want you falling asleep. How about you stay awake and talk about your cat?" He gently urged her, taking his hands off of her. He tried his best to ignore the smell of alcohol, never really liking it at all. He reminded himself that he'd need a shower eventually. But he needed to be focused and here for CC.
"Oh….Phoebe….oh no, she's probably up in my room. She's safe though!"
She says with a little smile, then suddenly remembering the fact that her brother was there.
"WAIT….min….wheres my brother, i thought he was there, was he there?"
She says suddenly grabbing his hand and sitting up, her head throbbing, her ribs hurting. It hurt to breathe, she figured at least two cracked. A huge bruise was forming on her face.
Met pushed her back down by the shoulders with a second hand. Her heart rate went crazy again. "Yes, I'll be going back tonight to help with the cleanup of your dad's body and to help out with your cat. Min… Min killed him. And some guys came up and took him away." He squeezed her hand gently and sighed.
"Oh… Yeah, he told me he was going to be leaving… The mental institution. I'm not surprised he killed him… Gosh darn it Min"
She sighed to herself as her mother started sobbing in the corner.
"We shouldn't have moved to America. We should've stayed in Korea and grew up in poverty like everyone else who lost their family in the war."
She said to herself as she cried.
"Mom…he'll be okay."
CC says squeezing Mets hand holding back tears.
This is NOT how she wanted him to meet her family.

(Maybe like a month or two? Right when she gets out of the hospital?)
(Oh sure! That way she'd actually be okay xD)
(Defiently, do you wanna do it? He could be like, walking into her hospital room, and maybe he could be the one telling her that she can be let out?)

Met had been in and out of everywhere. He had gone back to her house and kept everything in order there (he devoted himself to cleaning everything that might've reminded them of what happened out of the house), and grew a bond with her cat. He may or may not have grabbed some fish treats for it next to primarily feeding it for the past couple months.
And beside that, he was giving his company to CC and her mother (who was a very sweet woman). He gave them news as he got it, and also brought them get well gifts and went out to get food that they wanted. He was also sorting out a lot of the stuff with their insurance company, fighting to keep their trip and stay free. He eventually got it to that point. He was really good at talking and swindling people (he was a poor lil' orphan boy. He learned) The whole thing was getting really expensive, and he found himself excusing himself from school to work more. But it was worth it. How tired and run-down he felt was absolutely worth the smile on poor CC's bruised, cute face.
But today, as he walked in with his usual bouquet of flowers for the pair of women, he had a smile on his face. The doctor had tasked him with telling the pair of women some good news. He knocked on their door gently before walking in with his big smile and the flowers.
Clara was asleep, but CC was writing little stories in her bed. Looking up to Met, she smiled brightly at him. All of her bruises were gone, she did have scars, but only where three of her ribs broke. (Btw i have no idea how long it takes for ribs to heal, but let's just say they're healed XD)
"Hey! You here for your fifth visit this morning?"
She says with a cute laugh.
(it takes six weeks, depending on the trauma.)
Met beamed back and gave her the small bouquet of roses, and setting the other for Clara down in the vase he bought. He sat next to CC's bed and laughed softly.
"This is my sixth one, silly! And they called me in to give you guys some good news. But I'm gonna make you wait till your mum's awake." He poked her hand teasingly, something he started doing instead of poking her side.
(Oh okay!)
Sticking her bottom lip out in a dramatic cute pouty way, she grabbed his hand as he poked hers.
"Thank you…."
She says as she kissed the back of his hand.
"I don't know what we would've done without you."
Met smiled as she kissed his hand. "Awe. Thanks." He blushed. "I just wanna help you recover. You deserve a happy ending." He pressed a kiss to her cheek and stood up. "But this news is important. I'm gonna have to wake your mum up." He gently took his hand from her and moved across the room to Clara, shaking her gently.
Opening her eyes and smiling at the sight of the sweet boy who had helped her and her daughter through this. He had changed their lives, and she was so grateful about that. And the fact that it was her daughter's boyfriend. They weren't actually dating or anything, but Clara knew he would ask her soon.
"Oh hello! Do you need something?"
Met smiled back at her, running his fingers through his hair, which was long and tangled all over again.
"Yea, the doctors wanted me to tell you two that you're getting discharged. You can go home!" He trotted back to his seat, crossing his fingers on his lap. "And I'm here to help you pack up the things I brought you." He giggled at himself. He did spoil them a little, bringing them presents in hopes of keeping their spirits up and helping them down the road to recovery.
CCs face immediately lit up when she heard that she could go home. She was excited to see Phoebe again. Clara just smiled and sighed as she heard the news.
"Finally! It's been so long since I've slept in a comfortable bed!"
CC says with a big smile.
Met smiled warmly at her excited expression, then turned it to Clara. "Well, the sooner the better. Come on, CC, let's start." He nudged her shoulder with a big grin on his face. He was just teasing, but he also wanted her to handle her own clothes. He wasn't some type of creep.
"Oh! Right!"
She says standing up, setting the same leatherback journal, on the nightstand beside her bed.
"Okay, ill get by clothes…could you get the books and maybe the flowers?"
She says looking over to her suitcase full of clothes.
"Sure I can!" He packed her books in a bag he brought with him, and grabbed the flowers to take outside. "I'll run out this stuff to my car. Then when everything's packed we can head on out," He hummed softly, walking out of the room.
"Okay!"
She says dipping her suitcase then walking over to her mom.
"Here, lemme help you with this."
She says putting her clothes in her own suitcase as Clara gathers her flowers.
"Why don't you just marry the boy already"
Clara says jokingly followed by a laugh.
"Momma!!! We're not even dating! I don't. I mean-"
She stuttered all over the place as she quickly shoved her clothes into the suitcase, then standing up and grabbing her journal.
"Your face is red"
Clara says laughing, still sitting in the bed. Her eyes looked sad, but that's how they've always been ever since CCs dad died in the war a while back.
"Oh shut up!"
She said playfully trying not to smile.
Met trotted to his old, run down car and popped the trunk, fitting the flowers and books in carefully so they didn't fall on the way over. He sided them up against the bag of books to be sure of it, shut the trunk and walked back up the hospital. He trotted back in at 'Oh, shut up!' from CC. He smiled at the two women, grabbing the bags for CC and looking around for more.
"Do you wanna carry the bear I got you?" He asked, pointing to it. It was one of those medium sized ones. He wanted to get her a bigger one, but he'd save that for later.
"Yep!"
She says quickly grabbing it, hugging it to her chest like a little kid. Standing up and helping her mom up, who was enjoying watching their interactions.
"Well…i think that's everything!"
Met moved to get Clara's bag too, grinning at the pair of women. "Alright, come on, then." He turned and started leading the way out, pausing to thank their nurses and doctors. But soon they were in his car and he was starting it up.
Letting her mom sit in the front seat, CC sat in the back after persuading her mom that it was fine if she wasnt with her "boyfriend" 24/7. So making sure the flowers and books didn't fall over was her job.
"So, how do you like my daughter?"
She asks him with a grin, while CCs in complete shock
"MOM IM RIGHT HERE!!!"
Met whistled softly as he drove, pausing as he got asked the question. He decided… not to take it weird and just grin at her.
"I like her very much. She's very nice and pretty." He went back to driving, pausing at a light with more of his faint, happy whistles.
