Adelin grabbed up his bookbag, hoisted it onto his shoulders and pushed his way through the scrambling juniors. He had to get to his new study hall. The other teacher had shifted him out because too many people talked to him in the last one.
(how shall we get them to interact?)
(Well I was thinking they’d end up in the same study hall and Lilith would get the guts to say hi.)
(Sure! I'm gonna be off for the night tho, so I'll respond in the morning)
(Hey, I'm probably not gonna be on much today but I'll answer when I can)
Adelin grabbed up his bookbag, hoisted it onto his shoulders and pushed his way through the scrambling juniors. He had to get to his new study hall. The other teacher had shifted him out because too many people talked to him in the last one.
She walked into study hall, half expecting to see a supply concidering how often her regular teacher was off. She looked over and verified her belief, the supply being a middle aged looking female with dark, smooth brown skin.
Adelin had spoken with her earlier and had found a seat near the back of the class. He had gotten out his phone and was typing something with an annoyed look on his face, his legs thrown up carelessly on the desk.
The teacher told her to sit in front of Adelin, being close to him not making it easier to cover up her blush. She sat down obediently and leaned forwards, trying to limit her blush.
Adelin moved his feet apart to see someone sitting in front of him. By the hair color and style, he recognized the girl. It was the girl who was always blushing around him, no matter the circumstance. He liked her, as much as he could by not knowing her, of course.
She scolded herself mentally for blushing around such an inferior human being, but the power she felt from him shrunk her to a pathetic level.
Adelin shrugged and looked back down at his phone. Another plastic girl was asking him to Prom again. He probably wouldn’t go this year. He had his taste last year, and he regretted it.
Study hall soon started and she had worked up the courage to say hi. She turned around and did so.
Adelin glanced up. “Oh. Hey there.” He gave a slight smile.
"You're in my homeroom, right?" she asked, already knowing the answer
Adelin nodded. “Sure am. Lilth, right?” He tilted his head. He was the best at remembering names. He already knew her answer.
"Yea" she replied, shifting slightly in her seat so she was facing him better.
He nodded a slight nod. “Cool. Your parents have good taste in names.”
She struggled to keep down a blush and succeded, "Thank you. Your's too" she replied
Adelin nodded slightly and glanced back down at his phone. “Yeah. Thanks.”
She noticed his distraction and looked away, melting under his gaze
Adelin texted a few choice words to the girl and tossed his phone onto the desk with a sigh. He just couldn’t be left alone, apparently.
Her phone buzzed but she left it alone, class already beginning.
