Cosima nodded, agreeing with her. "I'll go first and meet you at the place," Cosima said. They had both driven to school using their own cars, not wanting to risk car riders and other staff members to see them. She dug her keys out from her purse before walking to the parking lot. She started her engine and drove to the place, not farther than 5 blocks from where the school was. She chose out a nice two-seated table for them, near a window and got their menus.
Just a few minutes later, Valerie left her classroom, locking up before leaving the school. As she walked to her car, she reached in her pocket for her keys and got in her car. She drove to the restaurant as fast as she could without going over the speed limit. Once she finally got inside, she met up with Cosmia, sitting down across from her. She let out a breath, smiling to the woman in front of her.
"Hey," She smiled, finally glad that they were away from the school setting. She took both of Valerie's hands before leaning in and planting a quick kiss on her lips. She knew that they couldn't be intimate in the way they wanted at school unless they wanted to be knocking on their neighbor's doors to let them know that they are registered sex offenders.
"Hello! I missed you so much today." Valerie said with a smile while still holding Cosmia's hands, giving her a kiss back. She glanced out the window at the streets and the buildings. Just a minute later a waiter came. "Hello, ladies, can I get you two something to drink?"
"Same, honestly, sometimes I wish we could just come out to the school but then that wouldn't end well for at least one of us." She said, longingly looking into her eyes with a sad smile. When the waiter came up she asked for a water. "What about you Val?"
"Seltzer water please, thank you." The waiter nodded and left to get their drinks. Valerie returned the eye contact, a little smile on her lips. "At least I know there's something to look forward to after school."
(After your response, I'll put what happens with the other people finding out about them)
"There definitely is," She agreed, with a toothy grin. "So what do you want to do this weekend?" She asked her, remembering about their upcoming anniversary.
"Oh! I'm not sure! Maybe we should take some vacation time and miss the Monday and Tuesday after so we can go on a longer trip?" Valerie offered with a smile just as large as Cosmia's.
Cosima nodded as the waitress came back with their drinks swiftly. She made a mental note to tip her extra once they were done. "Sounds like a plan. I was thinking of going on a transatlantic cruise, it's almost only 4 days so that fits in perfectly." She said right before the waitress asked for what they would eat.
Valerie smiled, taking a sip of her drink before pointing to a meal on the menu in fear of butchering the name like she butchered the last names of some of her students.
"The same thing please," Cosima asked, watching the waitress walking away. She laced their fingers together, leaning closer to Val and cursing the fact that the table was blocking them from one another. She kissed Cosima's fingers, not knowing that somewhere through the window, a camera was taking pictures of them.
Valerie's smile lingered, "Maybe we should've gotten a booth." She said seeing Cosmia lean forward. She would have done the same is Cosmia hadn't done it first and realized they couldn't. It probably wasn't the best idea to sit by the window, but Valerie didn't think about that.
"Yeah, do you think we could move?" Cosima said, not knowing that the photos were already taken. "Do you think it would seem weird now that we're already seated?"
"Mmm I'm not sure… we could always ask." Suggested Valerie. It would definitely be worth it to move to a booth. Even if it costed extra.
The waitress from earlier came back with their food and Cosima asked if they could move to the booths.
"Of course," She answered taking their food and leading them to a section. Cosima took Valerie's hand and pulled her along with her.
Valerie had a big smile on her lips. She kept ahold of Cosmia's hand once they got to the booth and sat down. She thanked the waiter and she left. Val then scooted right next to Cosmia, giving her a small kiss on the cheek. "… I love you…"
"I love you too." She said genuinely and whole-heartedly. The waitress put their food down before leaving them to their own devices. "Only a couple of days left until or trip but until then, I have a surprise for you tomorrow afternoon."
"Oh? I'm looking forward to it!" Valerie said before sitting up straighter so she could eat since she was very hungry. Taking a bite, a big smile formed on her lips. "This is so good!" She said after swallowing her bite.
"Really?" She asked rhetorically before taking a bite as well. And to no surprise, Valerie was right. "Mm, you're right, this is to die for." She said, covering her mouth slightly since her mouth was full.
Valerie nodded with a little smile and another bite. This was exactly what she had needed after a long day of dealing with high school kids. "This was a great idea, I'm so glad we came here."
"It is," She said. They sat in comfortable silence while munching on their food and occasionally taking sips of their drinks. Once they were done, Cosima put down their shared debit card - the one they used for an outing like this so they wouldn't argue about who would pay the bill- and waited as the waitress gave them their receipt. Cosima took her coat and Valerie's hand before going to the parking lot. She was suddenly disappointed when she realized that they had both driven there separately. "Aw man," She sighed, turning to face her wife. "I guess I'll see you at home?"
Valerie sighed. "Yeah, see you there, love." She lifted her and Cosmia's hand, kissing it before letting go. She stepped backward giving her a slight wave and turned around after. Making her way to her car, she blew Cosmia a kiss.
Cosima watched Val walk away and blew a kiss back to her. Once Valerie got in, she also went into her car and started driving home. She had made it there first, taking a shortcut there but not to far behind Val. She opened the door and brought in her teacher stuff before putting on the couch and watching her come in through the door.
Valerie walked through the door, two bags in her hands for school. She kicked the door closed lightly, setting her stuff down. After she set the bags down she immediately went straight to her wife and wrapped her arms around her, a smile on her face.
Cosima walked towards her, meeting her halfway before putting her hands on her waist, slowly leaning in for a random kiss. "Hey," She said, as a smile lighting up her face.
(sorry for the short response)
