So I know..I’ve let a lot of RPs die recently, and I do apologize to the people apart of those RPs (if you’re reading this and if you were in one of them, PM me if you’re interested in starting them back up and we can work something out.) As of recently though, I’ve had a neat character concept/RP Idea. Hoping someone joins this one. With that aside, onto the description!

Hello?

Is anyone there?

Where am I?

I can’t see..

Who’s there?

It’s an island.

A peaceful, lonesome island. And upon it is a town. A peaceful..ghost town. No one lives there. Not at this time, at least. The island is somewhat of a tourist attraction. A lesser known, maybe even unpopular one, at that. You won’t find much graffiti here, surprisingly. You’ll find that the island has forests. Big forests and some fields. It’s got a mansion, too. An old one, a little ways away from the town.

The only way to get to the island is via boat. I mean, you could take a helicopter there, but no one really offers flights to there. You could also fly yourself there..but there isn’t much of a need for that, isn’t there?

On the island, what can you do? Well, you can get souvenirs. Find them on your own. Take them, if you will. At your own risk - not that I mean anything by that.

The island has been subject to the main topic of several investigations. They remain pretty quiet about those. I wouldn’t recommend pressing into their investigations, unless you want to start your own. But what are you investigating?

Well, it’s simple.

Ghosts.

Person finds portable radio on island, radio turns out to be the vessel of a ghost, stuff happens, blah blah blah. So here’s Radios, my new RP. I’d really enjoy it if you, the lovely person joining this RP be the person coming to investigate. I do have plans on where I want to take the ghost thing..story wise. But it’s up to both of us to decide on how those plans happen.

No template for this RP. I only ask that you say that you’re joining for sure, and provide a description of whatever information you deem relevant to your character in that description. Ask any questions if needed.

Onto the rules.

  1. In the event of a fight (which in any case, I’m not expecting too many to break out here) as usual, no autohitting, but please do not dodge everything either. Common sense.
  2. Let me know if you’ll be inactive, and I’ll do the same.
  3. I allow swearing, as usual. And blood and violence, but like rule 1, I’m not sure where the violence will happen…
  4. No one liners!
  5. Please try to use proper grammar.
  6. I ask that your reply at least be at least two lines long.
  7. There can be a romance component to it, but for the specific character I have in mind, it will need to be straight. This means that if you want romance, you will need a woman. I’d also imagine the romance to be slow burn, but not completely slow.
  8. Try to be okay with mature stuff!
  9. All basic RP rules apply.
  10. List may or may not change. Dunno.
  11. Please don’t let this die within a week

I would also like to mention my time zone here, but this doesn’t really matter; I will RP with just about anyone as long as you’re willing. I use EST.

Again, ask any questions you may have.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Yay, thanks :) Here is a small bit of info on the character I wanna use:

Jordan ‘Jordie’ Wright is an investigative journalist into the unknown and paranormal. An avid ghost hunter, she visits places rich with history and sightings of the paranormal. Jordie has visited hundreds of places across the world in hopes of seeing or experiencing the paranormal. So far, she has been fairly successful, but still wishes to learn more. She’s 5’5 with long, deep brown hair that falls in waves, pale skin and bright green eyes, loads of freckles. Friendly, has a strong British accent. No family left alive. Has a cat called Lylo.

@Mojack group

No problem! And here’s the information for my character as well.

Nobody knows much about him, aside from the name, of course. Sandro Leitner, the ‘mysterious’ voice from the radio. How long he‘s been there, not even Sandro himself knows. He’s watched a lot of people come and go. And each time he’s tried to reach out, it never works. Sandro’s never enjoyed being alone, and yet, here he is. Alone, in one of the closed down shops in the ghost town. How he wishes to finally - even just for a bit, say something. See something.

Any questions; and did you want to start, or should I?

@Mojack group

Static.

Silence would be preferable than this. Those were Sandro’s thoughts as he sat..well, not really sitting, per say. He couldn’t tell if he had a physical form or anything like that. All he knew is that he was linked to what seemed to be a radio. He could see outside, sure. But not far, and it was almost fuzzy.

Anyways, back to his thoughts before. He was hovering in whatever plane of existence this was. Outside, to any other person, it looked like some little radio. Old, but functional. Probably. The radio was sitting upon a windowsill in one of the little shops in the town. The town, being more of a ghost town if anything. Rarely did anyone come here, and he was sure no one lived here. Well. No one besides himself.
For what little people came here he was surprised none of them grabbed him. The radio, he meant. The vessel. Maybe they didn’t know. They probably had no clue a man was in the radio. How silly that would seem.

And yet, this day, Sandro felt different. He didn’t feel much in this state, so it was weird. Should he welcome the feeling or not? He wasn’t sure. All he could do was sit quietly in this little radio and wait.

@ElderGod-Carrots

The boat trip had been long. And expensive. Jordie hadn’t known at first how much renting a boat would cost but well, this investigation was one she couldn’t let go, even if she was now down a few hundred quid.

The ghost town had been one she’d wanted to visit since she’d first heard about the place. Finally, she was finally able to set onto the white sand and make the climb up the old, rocky costal pathway to said town.

Quiet is the word she would describe the place. Eerily quiet. The place put her on edge already, like the was something here she couldn’t quite place yet. It was strange, really. She’d been to quite a few places, loads, in fact but none had been so… silent.

The journalist made her way up into town, already making notes and taking pictures of whatever was of interest to her. It was weird to think that at some point people had lived her, loved her. And now there was just nothing. Well, not nothing, like the small trinkets and things she saw in windows. Like the radio.

@Mojack group

Sandro had thought it would be like another one of those times..business as usual, just sitting silently. But when the fog - the fog in his mind dispersed, and he saw something, maybe someone, moving, that alerted him almost immediately.

There wasn’t much he could do. Sandro had tried, many times. To speak. But it was almost like there was this invisible barrier that stopped that. Like a lock.

He could only stare at the faint figure that he could see. Could they even tell that someone was looking at them? Well, there was sometimes an odd feeling that you get when you feel that you’re not alone. But who’s to say? He couldn’t ask. He could only wait.

@ElderGod-Carrots

The radio drew Jordie’s attention. How had no one taken or even destroyed this thing yet? She moved closer, opening the door to the little shop. The atmosphere was strange. It was at least two degrees colder then outside and the place felt still. Like it had been out on pause.

She couldn’t shake the feeling there was someone else there, or something else. But that as what she wanted, it was what she investigated after all. Shaking her head, she moved towards the the window.

With delicate hands, she picked it up, turning the device over in her hands. It was incredible how this thing had survived for so long.

@Mojack group

Sandro watched the person as they approached - they became clearer as they did, and he could now identity them as a woman. He watched from his position, and as she came closer, he was able to see a lot more clearer.

But still…it was so dark.

It came as a surprise when he- the radio, was picked up. He wasn’t sure what it felt like. No one had picked up the radio ever. Well, someone did, at one point in the past. But no one while he was there.

It was only a few seconds when Sandro felt something else. And as he turned, he saw a string. Just hanging from wherever the ceiling was, in this plane of existence. Maybe it was representing something? Sandro wasn’t sure. It was the first thing he’d seen in a while. The first new thing.

Sandro reached out, grasping the string and pulling down. There was silence, and it was as if that was completely useless.

’Anti-climactic..’

Then, the radio had static.

Sandro was able to hear the static, he was sure the person holding the radio was as well. The static was soft; it wasn’t loud per say. It kept a simple pattern, and it didn’t pause at all.

@ElderGod-Carrots

The static caught Jordie off guard. It shouldn’t be able to work, should it? The thing had been here for so long that it shouldn’t have any power, any battery. She frowned, pushing a lock of her hair out her face.

She looked over the device, pressing down one of the buttons on the top, “Hello?”

She doubted she’d get a response, after all she didn’t know who might have the other radio or even if there even was another radio considering how long the device had been here.

@Mojack group

He was sure he could hear the voice either way; he had before. But when he heard the hello, it sounded almost directly next to him. At this point, Sandro had no idea what to do. He had never gotten this far before in establishing communication.

When he tried to speak, something just felt off, and he stopped. Could he even speak? Or was something missing?

He searched for the words, quite literally. And when he found them, he began.

“H-Hello.” The voice that came from the radio was not his. Or maybe he didn’t remember his own voice, it had been so long. Or perhaps it was just the static of the radio. Maybe both.

@ElderGod-Carrots

She very nearly dropped the the radio at the sound of anther voice. She hadn’t expected someone to respond, not at all. But, here she was, hearing another voice through the old, run down radio.

“Who am I speaking to?” She asked. Hopefully, whoever it was, would be able to answer again and she wasn’t going crazy. It wouldn’t be the first time something like this had happened, where she thought she found something and then…nothing.

@Mojack group

“Eleven of us.” The words came out almost automatically. Sandro seemed to peer around himself. Nope. No one was here. So why was he saying that? It was almost like he was limited to a word bank that he had to keep choosing random words from. Or words that suited the situation. Sandro hoped the situation would change.

“Lilian Cabal. Romina Villa. Paz Fei. Raul Lei. Hector Xirau. Beni Palu. Matias Sancho. Marco Mina. Luca Tassis. Gonzalo Franco. Sandro Leinter.” Sandro - it, the radio listed off the names. These people felt familiar. But if they were still on the island, wouldn’t they be here?

“Eleven of us.” The radio repeated, though not in a different tone - it was the same, even tone it had spoken in moments before. Identical, almost.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Jordie frowned slightly. Eleven? It didn’t sound like eleven. In fact it sounded like one mechanical voice even though it just said there were eleven people talking?

“Do you mean eleven people talking or eleven people present on the other side of the radio?”

She headed out the small shop, the space suddenly feeling too cramped. There was a small bench not too far away in a good spot of sun light where the journalist seated herself. She quickly wrote down the names of the people mentioned.

@Mojack group

“Here, yes. On hill. Mansion.” Those words felt right to say, so he did. Sandro had no idea why he put the mansion; he faintly recalled it though, in his past.

It felt slightly weird for him as the radio was moved further from its spot than it had been in a while.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Mansion…" She mumbled the word to herself, biting down on her bottom lip, "Do you mean the mansion on the island?"

She stood from the seat, stuffing the notepad into her pocket. She too a few steps backwards, finding a better vantage point. The was a mansion here, she'd seen photos. Luckily it wasn't too long of a walk away if whoever was on the other said they were there.

@Mojack group

There was a pause.

“Yes. On hill. Mansion. Better signal.” Oh, so that was why. There was a better signal on the mansion for some reason. Maybe that could change things for Sandro’s current status a little bit..like being able to actually say what he wants.

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Okay, I’m heading there now. Hang tight where ever you are.”

Jordie set off isn’t he direction of the mansion. She’d planned on going later but she guessed those plans had changed. Clearly, because she hadn’t expected a response from the radio.

@Mojack group

“Okay. Be there soon.” The radio spoke yet again. The static continued on for another few seconds, then ended.

Sandro hoped that the mansion may actually provide a better signal. Hopefully he could communicate a bit better.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Jordie placed the radio in her bag. She’d get to the bottom of this. The journalist headed towards the mansion, following the broken, rocky path up the small hill to the building.

It didn’t take her long, mainly because she speed walked. Once she arrived, she pushed open the splintered double doors before pulling out the radio again, “I’m here, where are you?”

@Mojack group

Sandro felt something. It was a feeling hard to describe, but he could tell they were by the mansion at that point.

The feeling felt peculiar, though. Almost as if he had a chance at some, albeit limited, freedom. The radio began to static again, not taking long before Sandro himself began to speak. The voice that came from the radio sounded more clearer. Sandro also felt as if he could actually speak freely.

“Ah,” He began. “It’s been a while since I’ve spoken like this.” Sandro started to say, before remembering the current situation. Now, he was really unsure of what to say. How would he say that he was ‘inside’ of the radio? That would be odd.

“Inside the house, upstairs.” Sandro told her.
