sry only aloe can join
You open your eyes and take in your first breath. Somehow, you're already standing - specifically on snow. A dark oak tree meets your eye, and instincts tell you to get that wood. You ignore the instincts for a bit and first take in the rest of your surroundings. There are vast snowy mountains towering over you filled with trees. Movement is seen behind the trees every now and then, something that blends into the snow quite well. A distant sound of a bell travels through the air. You look back at the tree, but also ponder the sound of the bell.
I, however, open my eyes to water. A lot of water. I spin around instantly and realize I am on a small island with a few short oak trees. The grass is bright green and tall, with flowers littered around. There's a weird urge in me. I have to build a boat to get off this island. I can see a shadow of something across the waters as well. I eye the trees. Looking down at my fists, I smile and punch the wood (?????) until the logs came into my possession. I break off a few sticks as well and suddenly, new information came into my head. I know how to make a boat and tools with this wood! I work quickly with my hands, and before I know it, I set sail.
Where do you go?
I make my way towards the trees, but I don't touch them. Instead I follow the movement between the trees to find the sheep. They must be so warm under their wool. I look back up at the trees. The snow crunched under my feet as I make an attempt to climb to the top of the tree. I need to see as far as possible, in case there's something nearby.
You can see miles away now! To your right, you spot small little houses encased within the snowy trees. You're too far away to see if there is any life. In front of you is more mountains, and to the left the world seems to level out and there is visibly less snow. You're unsure why there is such a distinct line of snow, but you don't question it. Behind you is more woods.
I row the boat slow and steadily towards the shadow across the ocean. Occasionally, I stop to look under the water. The water is clear and clean, and underneath lies plenty fish and seaweed. The greens blend with the blues, and the bright red fish ripple through the seaweed in schools. I keep sailing and the shadow reveals itself to be a desert.
When I spot the houses, I then know my exact plan following. After I find the safest route off the trees, I follow the trail toward the buildings. Even if it was abandoned, surely I could use it as shelter, at least until I figure out what's going on? I'm sure the previous owners of the house wouldn't mind my moving in.
The houses are made of the same oak as the trees nearby. You hear distant talking and find that there are villagers approaching you. Both were men. "Hello, traveler. My name is Oonook. Are you here to trade?" He looks rather friendly, with his straw hat and kind smile. You realize he must be a farmer, since there was a small piece of land with wheat and other plants.
I slowly take the tools out of my boat and put them in my backpack that I had awoken with. Using a strange power, I made the size of the boats and tools smaller as to fit in my pack. The hot air caused my skin to be sticky, and the sand got in my feet. I trudge on through the desert and find a strange monument, or temple.
I look around the village. Luckily the men seem pretty friendly. I pray there's some sort of free room for me to stay in.
"Trade? Um, I don't have anything right now, but I'm willing to offer my labor for a room to stay for the night, maybe more. Do you happen to know where I am?" It's not like I could use the knowledge of my location as a reference for anything; I don't know where I come from. Or do I?
Oonook grunts. "No trade? Hmm, harvest this wheat and potatoes for me, why don't you? I'll let you stay the night." He throws some seeds in a small basket, what looked like a composter. "Where are you? This is the Olock village. We don't travel far, hmm, so I could not tell you where you are in direction to anything else." You shudder at the thought.
He takes off his straw hat and holds it to his heart, bowing his head. "Be warned, fair traveler, I lend you this bed for I fear the things in the night… hmm… Please stay safe. I have already lost family to the gruelly things."
I look around the temple. There seemed to be nothing here, but a strange flooring. There was a purple middle, which raised my suspicions. I took out my pickaxe and began to mine at the purple, until there was a hole for me to look through. The purple, terracotta, is what I assumed it was, was thrown into a pile next to me. I looked down to find a long dark well, and treasure chests at the bottom! Four! I also noticed a stone plate in the middle.
The things in the night? What could that mean? I wasn't sure if I wanted to find out, but I knew I couldn't stay here forever. I'd have to figure out what I'm dealing with at some point. I nod to the villager and turn to the crops, harvesting the potatoes and wheat.
Then I realized how hungry I was. The potato harvest was awfully generous. I'm sure the villager wouldn't mind if I took just a few for myself. For every three potatoes I harvested, I pocketed one for myself. I somehow ended up with about seven potatoes. Should I give all my wheat to the villager too? I look around to see if I can find where he wandered off to.
"Here's your potatoes and wheat. I have fourteen potatoes, and twelve wheat."
