"Get up. You've suffered bigger wounds."
…
"If you don't get up, I'll destroy anything that's left of this world."
…
"Please. Please get up. Please don't die on me."
That was 3 years ago now. The villain has succeeded in making the world crumble to ruin. Humanity - what's left of it, barely breaking more than a few hundred thousand world wide, with barely a fraction of that even having any power and a fraction of that fraction only having barely enough power to fight - is surviving among the ashes. The villain is a heartless tyrant, clearly someone who would go down in history as the singular worst human alive… and eventually, legends wouldn't even remember them as human, but as a beast. People have long since given up resisting, or so it seems.
In the end, there's one person who could possibly stand up to the villain, but they're hopelessly weak. They can barely control their outrageous power, often causing more harm than good. They're now exiled to the outskirts of the only encampment for miles, all but a death sentence in a world where the water is choked with ash and debris.
But they keep training, and word gets out about a strange new vigilante who kills both heroes with the potential to go to the villain's side and the villains themselves. More often than not, they nearly die from the blowback of their power.
But the villain catches wind of the new vigilante.
And so in a bid to destroy the entirety of what's left, and then die themselves, they seek out and find the vigilante.
What follows is a cataclysmic battle between the two, and it ends in a standstill. The villain and vigilante walk away heavily injured…
But the villain walks away smiling, unknowingly.
They hadn't felt this good in forever.
I'd prefer the villain role, but whatever works.
andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s rules apply.
No smut. This will be a romance, yes, but only in name really. I just want a reason to write flashy fight scenes.
Preferably at least a paragraph per response.
Make up NPCs, please. This doesn't need to die.
Please submit a writing sample.
And please be at least 17.
