Lucas's POV:
"Brown hair? Tall? I just saw his back," I rested my head against Ashley's, biting my lip. "But like, I'm super curious. Should we ask her?"

"Brown hair? Tall? I just saw his back," I rested my head against Ashley's, biting my lip. "But like, I'm super curious. Should we ask her?"
Ashley’s POV:
I snorted. “Yeah, like she’d tell us anything if we did… You know how she is. She wouldn’t want to talk about it, especially knowing we’d noticed something was going on.”
Lucas's POV:
I mused.
"Good point," I said. "Then that just means we have to stalk her."
Ashley’s POV:
I chuckled and nudged Lucas. “Now that sounds like fun. Are you sure you can do it without getting caught?”
Lucas's POV:
I frowned.
"Of course I can!" I said, pretending to be offended. "I'm very good at stalking."
Ashley’s POV:
I couldn’t help it; I completely just burst out laughing at his choice of words.
“Lucas, that’s not always a good thing!” I exclaimed, laughing hard.
Lucas's POV:
I pouted.
"You're very mean, you know that right?" I turned away from her. "I won't forgive you."
Ashley’s POV:
“Oh, I know that’s entirely not true,” I chuckled, moving around him so I could kiss his cheek. “You can’t stay mad at me for long.”
Lucas's POV:
I rolled my eyes.
"I call that arrogance," I muttered under my breath. "I'm in a good mood, so I'll forgive you."
Ashley’s POV:
“Sorry, Luca,” I giggled, wrapping my arms around him. “But you know it’s true.”
Lucas's POV:
I let her hug me, pretending I was still upset.
"Arrogant," I repeated, pouting. "Mean. Rude."
Ashley’s POV:
“Yup. But you love me anyway!” I giggled, kissing his cheek again. And again. Slowly making my way towards his lips. Unfortunately for him, I stopped when I reached the corner of his mouth.
Lucas's POV:
I glared at Ashley as she looked at me with a teasing smirk on her face.
"You're such a tease," I grumbled. "Don't talk to me."
Ashley’s POV:
“Too late, babe,” I laughed. “I’m already talking to you.”
Lucas's POV:
I rolled my eyes before turning towards her and kissing her abruptly. I hated it when she teased me like that. It made me want her even more.
Before I could deepen the kiss, the door opened.
"Hey, Ashley–" Uncle Leo stared at us with wide eyes and an open mouth. "Just what… exactly was going on?"
Ashley’s POV:
And of course my dad had to walk in and ruin the moment. Yay.
“Nothing!” I exclaimed as I pulled away from Lucas, eyes wide with shock for the second time that day. “Why does no one knock around here? Gracious, dad. What if I was changing or something?”
Lucas’s POV:
I burned red with embarrassment, loss for words. Ashley’s dad rolled his eyes.
“Right, you’d be changing clothes with this guy right here,” he pointed at me. “God, I can’t wipe the image of you doing that to my daughter. Oh, God.”
He shook his head, stared at us for a second before walked straight out, all the while shaking his head.
(Ah, Leo. You’re such a funny dad. Lol.)
Ashley’s POV:
I was certain that Lucas and I were the same shade of red in our faces as my father walked out of the room. With an embarrassed groan, I covered my face with my hands and pulled my knees to to my chest.
“I need to lock my door more often,” I muttered.
(He’s like, no. I’m out.)
Lucas’s POV:
I coughed, trying to hide my embarrassment, but I knew I failed. My face still felt incredibly hot.
“Anyway…” I cleared my throat. “I think it’s time I leave. I’ll see you at school tomorrow?”
(Lol. The only kissing Leo enjoys is when he’s kissing his wife.)
Ashley’s POV:
“Of course,” I assured him with a small smile, still slightly flustered. “Text me when you get home?”
(Exactly. XD)
Lucas’s POV:
I nodded, a sheepish smile on my face.
“Will do,” I moved to give her a small peck on the lips. “I’ll also give you updates on Eden.”
(Skip to the next Steed interaction?)
(Yes!!)
(Yay~!)
Sterling’s POV:
On Monday morning, I purposefully looked for Eden. I wanted to talk to her, make sure she was okay. It had been a while since I had seen her last, and I was sort of worried about her.
My eyes searched the halls, looking for her dark hair among the other students. Finally, after what felt like forever, I saw her. Hurrying my pace, I tried to catch up to her.
“Eden. Hey. How are you?” I asked when I had reached her, slightly out of breath from rushing over.
Eden’s POV:
I whipped my head around quickly, ready to throw the person over my shoulder when I realized it was Sterling. I froze, right before I felt my face heat up. I still remembered our last encounter, and it still made me flustered. It was irritating.
“… Do not sneak up on me like that,” I said instead of answering his question. “I could have hurt you.”
Why didn’t I, though? I had the perfect opportunity. He would have left me alone then. Yet, I froze. What was wrong with me?
